The event itself was awesome, the venue was just okay - there's not enough space to really move around - even if you sit at the reserved tables by the cage you're stuck in your spot - not recommended if you're chlostraphobic. The prices on concessions are reasonable - $7-$8 a beer, and parking is $10 in their parking lot but if you come early there is street parking available for free.

It's a Cicero Park District Fieldhouse...so yep, that's basically what it is like. They have a large, gated parking lot. And...the Windy City Rollers play there, that is a stellar reason for a trip to Cicero Stadium! It sort of just "fits" with the vibe, and I enjoyed it ;)

Employees are friendly and down to earth. Great place to watch thoroughbreds run, renovations or not. Went to customer service to check on the number of points I've earned on my Hawthorne card. Too funny....righteous man in in his Sears suit coat was issuing a very long complaint to the Hawthorne employee, whose expression was increasingly glazed. I mean LONG, and without a breath in between various disappointments. God love her, because 10 seconds in I wanted to tell the guy to STFU and enjoy the day for what it was. (I actually had to shove him over, verbally, to speak to the other employee.) "And then..our waitress took FIVE minutes to bring our drinks...and THEN..." And then what? She didn't bow down to your vast superiority? She didn't weep tears of joy and admiration for your Miller Lite orders? She didn't appreciate your Sears jacket or artfully arranged thinning hair?" Really, dude, what the F*** do you want? This guy was talking nonstop for at least 7 minutes (before I left the area)....that poor girl. I have enough points for a windbreaker, by the way, but am saving them up for a hoodie. I suspect the complainer is still there, explaining to that poor girl that he deserves better service...I'll have those points by the time he's done.

They handled everything and the kids all had a blast. The young men who ran the party were great with the kids, making sure everyone had a good time. The coaches were great, they organized the activities for the kids and were able to change things up depending on the mood of the crowd. Shout out to Coach Jeremy who did a great job involving the kids who's ages varied from 2 to 15. Even the parents got in on the fun. A great value for a birthday party and it is MUCH more interactive than bouncy house places. Highly recommended!

AMC Cicero was similar in distance, if not closer to my Chicago residence compared to both Regal City North, and Regal Webster Place which I have visited in the past. AMC Cicero is located within a shopping mall known as Cicero Market Place, featuring several businesses and restaurants. So parking is the last worry to have if you intend on choosing AMC Cicero. I visited on a weekday within prime work and school hours, so I had no issues finding a parking spot within Cicero Market Place. I think even if I were to have visited in the evening or during the weekend there would be no difference. I had no issues activating my gift card despite it being years ago since receiving it; and the employee even gave me the balance I had left on it which I plan to use very soon. As a movie enthusiast, I feel as though I do not visit movie theaters enough. Now if you have spare time before the movie you intend to watch, there is a mini arcade located off to the side of the ticket purchase area and feet from the concession. The kid in me just had to stop and look at some of the arcade machines available which I am sure I will enjoy in the future. Once I found and entered the auditorium where the movie was being shown, I located my seat which was identified by alphabet letters located along the floor, with the number of the seat on the arm rest. I loved the chair, which did not recline but they do slightly adjust with pressure added. For me, the seat was comfortable and at the time it did ease my lower back pain. The only thing I was not fond of was the sticky floor in the theater which made me cautious about the cleanliness of not only that but the seats as well. With all shared in this review, AMC Cicero 14 won me over and I will surely return again.
