Was drawn to this restaurant after looking at their menu & seeing they offered noodles as a side in replacement of rice. Hibachi restaurants around this area that offer noodles are few and far between so I was super excited to try this place out! We went here during lunch break from work, and there was no one else there, we placed our order and waited maybe 15 minutes for our food which was surprising, considering there was no one else there however, we were happy the food was fresh. The shrimp was cooked to perfection & delicious however, I must say the noodles were quite a letdown. They had minimal flavor, and not impressive. The staff was friendly. This would be the place that you would go if you just wanted to grab a quick bite, not a place to go on a first date, or to impress anyone, as it seemed a bit out dated. Buyer Beware!!!! 1 star for the salad and the sauces...We ordered from this restaurant on 3/8. We ordered through Uber Eats (priority). The order was prepared and the delivery person picked it up and brought straight to us. So time was not the issue. Quality of the food and the cooking/prep of the food is the issue. I ordered ribeye and shrimp hibachi dinner (I got steak but it was not ribeye, it was over cooked and some were actually burned.) The shrimp was overcooked to the point they were like chewing rubber. The shrimp rolls were brined. My husband got salmon and shrimp combo with a side of snapper. Salmon and shrimp ok but overcooked and snapper was mushy and breading was awful and wet. He was able to eat a few bites of his but I ended up not eating anything and threw mine in the trash. I emailed Uber Eats and also contacted the restaurant. I spoke with Ashley(the manager that day) I provided her with pictures of everything and explained that I was not able to bring the food back(I had just had stomach surgery a few days prior) hence the need to use Uber. I explained that I was not looking for a full refund Either refund the food that was an issue or replacement of the meal. She explained that she had been in the kitchen for part of the day but that she didn't make our order and she would look into it. Uber Eats refunded $6 (of a $126 order).After I got the reply I sent a screen shot to Ashley and she basically said there was nothing she could do. She was going to contact the restaurant owner and that he would get in touch. Today is 4/4 and we have yet to hear from him. Stay away from this restaurant. There are better places that appreciate their customers and their customers loyalty! Remember we are the patrons that kept these local mom and pops open and supported during COVID and now they take their customers for granted!!!! Kobe Grill is one of those "go to" places that you know will always hit the spot. We eat here often and I've never had a bad meal or experience. Today I got the hibachi chicken (no vegetables because I'm picky lol). It's a classic that's guaranteed to fill you up without breaking your wallet. I ordered the shrimp and steak combo with noodles & veggies. Since they only had the filet option I chose this with my shrimp. The wait for the order was reasonable considering it was a Friday night and they are short staffed at the moment. The meal was good and easy for a Friday night meal. There's also a Fresh market next door. Overall the experience was ok. May return to try their sushi. read more

Place does a whole lot right, and that's huge for me since good hibachi is hard to find. Pros: You know I gotta do my rice test. They cook their white and fried rice extremely well! That passed with flying colors. Ginger and mustard sauce... to me this makes or break a hibachi joint, these were superb! I mean the mustard was amazing alone to dip the wings in. For only $0.50 more, you can upgrade your steak to filet... here's the cool part for me... I asked for medium rare... I GOT MEDIUM RARE. That seldom happens. Cons: Sushi wasn't bad, bit expensive but I get it with the times now. My only issue is tue sriracha they rely on. Not a fan of that. Wasabi looks like the cheap kind you can squeeze out of a tube. Needa more veggies in the dinners. A lot more broccoli too. Wings are great size and price, but lacks in flavor. Needs garlic, pepper, anything. I ordered online and got the Crunchy Dragon Roll and the Kobe Roll(2 rolls). The roll tasted fine. Kobe rolls were so greasy and over cooked/burned that I could not eat them. I will never order those again. I was not even sure what was in the Crunchy Dragon roll, but it got lots of "likes" so I tried it. It has imitation crab, small sliver of avocado and a small sliver of cucumber inside. Crunchy stuff on top and something pink on top(not sure what that was). To me is was basically a crunch California roll. No sure if I'll get the sushi again. I've had the hibachi several times and those are always pretty good. read more

My husband and I fell in love with Kobe years ago, and then recently found this other location that is closer to our home and I'm so happy we did! Kobe has the ultimate comfort food after a long day of work, when we don't feel like cooking. We usually always get their hibachi chicken and rice. You get so much rice, and I love pouring white sauce and hot sauce over it. I also love getting a side of their noodles. I will NOT be going here again and will instead give my business to Mr. Kirin up the street. I ordered online and had my pickup time set as 6:06, I did not receive my food until 7pm. A dozen people were waiting for their food, same as me. The workers were flippant, apathetic and rude. No "sorry for the wait" or anything. Even on the phone as they were talking to customers, they were rude. I'm understanding having been in the industry myself but a nice attitude goes a long way. Honestly I didn't even want to eat my food anymore because I was so upset I'd given my money to this business. I've often had issues with waiting at this location but today was definitely the final nail in the coffin. Won't be supporting this business when there are SO many more better options. read more

Got takeout so maybe it wouldn't have been so bad if we had eaten in. The chicken was dry and cooked to absolute death. The rice tasted like hard pellets, plastic like if that's a thing. Veggies over cooked and soft, mushy. The only saving grace was the mustard sauce. I poured it over everything and still threw half of it away. I hate to leave negative reviews but this was pathetic food tbh. Won't be back. read more

Dragon roll + "eel" roll = $16 something. Dragon roll = just one little sliver of brown avocado just on the top part of sushi (doesn't have to cover the sides of sushi but also doesn't have overlapping avocado slices). can you at least put spicy mayo? black sesame seeds!??! my gosh. "eel roll" = extra tiny (like just call it a Maki roll, might as well). nori (seaweed) cannot manage to hold together the almost non-existent avocado and unagi. look how much open space is in the gaps between the rice/meat/avocado). Just call it unagi and put in parenthesis the word eel. Let these people that rate this shamefulness "super fresh sushi" learn a japanese word here and there. They can read, can't they? Both rolls = excessive amount of sauce (probably to hide the brown avocado?) as expected in Greensboro I guess. tiny rolls (you're getting the cheaper price for a reason, I now see). Inconsistently applied rice (mainly on the "eel" roll which you can see from the picture) which also contributes to the failing, self-destructive, 1-minute old sushi. The rolls are as plain as the foreshadowing presentation of the restaurant and menu. Who are these people putting 5-stars? I get that its cheaper than some of the local stuff, but haven't yall been to sushi restaurants in other places? Quality per price is still a factor here. Lower price (compared to the local competition) should not sacrifice quality by this much. (I don't care about general customer service wait time for Karens. I'll wait for good food.) Pros: a lunchtime, sushi restaurant that sells unagi rolls. rice was ok i guess. read more

Recommend! Located off the corner of Lawndale and Pisgah Church in the Fresh Market plaza. It's a smaller sized, causal hibachi/sushi spot. I ordered the red dragon, California, and spicy salmon roll which came to around $18. The sushi and service was good, it took probably around 7 minutes for me to get my order. It's not the best sushi I've ever had, but it hit the spot and I didn't have any complaints. The location is convenient and prices are reasonable, I will definitely be back. read more

Couldn't recommend this spot more for take out! They give you plenty of food and sauce! The prices are reasonable. The hibachi shrimp with fried rice and mixed vegetables is delicious. The mixed vegetables are, zucchini, onions and broccoli. If you like sushi I recommend trying the dragon roll. The sushi is always super fresh. The Definitely check it out! read more

I tried to cal to place an order to pick up. When the employee answered the phone I was immediately asked to hold on. They placed the phone down and never returned to the phone. After I waited for nearly 5 minutes (5 minutes I can't get back), I hung up. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and called again about 5 minutes later. This time, no answer and I received a recording that voicemail has not been set up. I suppose Kobe Grill does not need or want my business so I took it elsewhere. read more

Came during lunch. Not very busy during the time we came. They were out of regular steak, no chicken wings and no soy paper for the sushi, so my gf's last resort was the shrimp special. The lady who rang us up rang it in as the daily special, once we got the food and realized it was incorrect we let them know she didn't want the steak but the shrimp, so instead of fixing it and taking the plate back they argued with her and stated that what she said wasn't what she ordered. They had 3 people who all barely speak good English trying to justify the error instead of just taking the plate back and fixing the correct plate. Once I got to the front to assist then they grudgingly said they would replace it but at that point she no longer wanted the food anymore so she ate her vegetables and the plate was thrown away. Customer service should always come first no matter what you feel when running a business. The portions aren't worth the prices anyway so we won't be back. I've been told that Kobe Grill is one of the better Japanese places in Greensboro, so I was eager to try. I have ordered for delivery twice from here and had to leave a review after this try. I live about 5-7 minutes away from this restaurant and both times ordering, my soup, entree, and appetizer have been stone cold. The food is definitely mediocre. Overcooked and bland. I order delivery from here quite often. The sushi, Crab Rangoons, and hibachi are all affordable and delicious. I have noticed that quality just very slightly decreases during their rush and sauces are often missing but it is still delicious. Employees are always friendly and nice! read more

We ordered a variety of sushi and unfortunately it was pretty subpar. All the fish was chewy and the rice was almost like a paste. Overall the sushi didn't seem fresh. We love sushi and normally fight over who gets the last piece but we didn't finish this. The fried spring rolls were good though so maybe cooked food is what they're best at. read more

We've eaten at many different Red Bowl locations throughout different states, but this experience was so good it brought back memories of a different Red Bowl and we did some happy reminiscing. We were seated promptly after entering and soon met our server, Gary. His friendly personality was apparent from the start, and the service was amazing. We enjoyed the lettuce wraps with chicken that were so much better than those found at the place with the giant horse out front. The littles shared the chicken lo mein and had enough to take home. The inside of the restaurant is typical to what you find at other Red Bowl restaurants. It is a mixture of booth and table seating. The bathroom is to the right of the host stand as you enter the restaurant. They can get packed on the weekends due to the proximity to Elon and many thriving communities, so plan accordingly. He asked to speak to a manager and he said there wasn't one and he would need to come tomorrow to speak to one....yeah ok. He told her that wouldn't be necessary because he was pulling up to the restaurant in about a minute. When he came in she continued to argue with him about his order and told him, he needed to bring it back...why would he bring back the items that were right in the order, when he was there for the MISSING ITEMS?! Not to mention, that's extremely unsanitary! She would not help him but instead argued so badly with him that the chef had to come out of the kitchen. The receptionist spoke to my husband as if he was a child. She talked to him as if he was a thief and a liar. Strike number 3. The chef then told my husband, he would take care of the missing items for him and to not worry. Now, why couldn't the receptions in treat him with the same respect and dignity that the chef did? I'll tell you why. She racially profiled him because of the demographics of the city where the restaurant is located. She treated him as if he was uncultured, ignorant, and a liar. We will never be back and will be sure to write every single person that matters and leave reviews all over the internet exposing this racist establishment. I will be sure that everyone knows exactly what happens when a black person enters the restaurant.
