This is a nice little Japanese restaurant on this side of town. I was contemplating going here and trying it for the first time, versus going to the nearby Kiha which I've not visited since my Amex days back in the day. This location was pretty good. I had hibachi salmon and shrimp with nice portions. They seared the veggies the way that I like them and they did not use a considerable amount of soy sauce, just enough. The lunch special comes with a drink, which is good and they bring your food out to your table. I would definitely try it again when I'm in the area.

Fast, easy, delicious lunch at Nagoya Japan. A coworker recommended this place, which is about a 10 minute drive from our office and I'm always up for a new hibachi dig. This place didn't disappoint! I stuck with a standard hibachi chicken lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it! I love the variety of the vegetables and the quantity of was more than enough for lunch, or a hearty appetite. They automatically give you a large side of white sauce and a small of ginger sauce. It doesn't come with a soup or salad, but like I said, it was more than enough. My sister ordered the steamed dumplings and edamame for her meal. There were 8 dumplings in total, so a large serving, and although they were not stuffed full, she said they were incredibly delectable. The portion size of the edamame was also large! Enough to share so I snuck a few. Yum! My coworker ordered hibachi scallops and said that's the only thing he goes for. He's a foodie too so I trust his word on the matter. The place is certainly covid conscious. There is limited access to the kitchen and staff, as the ordering counter is roped off with clear plastic lining, but that's probably safer for them, and didn't bother me one bit. The inside of the restaurant is not much to look at, but the food spoke for itself. Super tasty. I'll be back.

Nagoya is some of the most delicious hibachi I've eaten - it's on par with larger hibachi steakhouses, downsized for a take-out price. I've tried the shrimp, chicken and steak hibachi, they're all fantastic. They're accompanied by a delicious ginger-soy hibachi sauce and an addictive sweet white sauce. The hibachi-grilled vegetables are so darn good, and it's a relief they give you such a heaping serving of them! It goes perfectly with steamed white rice, and white sauce. A shout-out to whoever cooks the rice. It's delicious, sticky, sushi-grade white rice, completely moist and tender. Pro tip: Call ahead to order take-out. The service is fast and friendly.

Sizable portions and good quality for the price. Quick enough to stop in for lunch, very clean inside and the staff is friendly.

Wish I could give 3.5 stars but I'm rounding down on this one. I've had this place bookmarked for a while so decided to pop in for lunch. This is an order at the counter and they bring you your food when it's ready kind of place. They were quite busy with takeout orders and a few folks dining in. The gal who took my order was wearing a mask and was very friendly. Good start! I went with hibachi chicken and scallops. Soup or salad comes with your meal so I went with the miso soup. It was the best part of the meal. Lots of soft tofu and seaweed, really great flavor. The chicken was dry and overcooked and the scallops were tiny and didn't taste super fresh, not bad but not great considering I paid almost $18 for it! Not a good value by any means. The white sauce was very sweet but the mustard sauce packed some heat and really helped the dry chicken. The rice was very good and cooked perfectly. With so many of this type of restaurant in town, I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there again but may give them another try if in the area.

Large portions and fresh tasting food. They serve a larger portion of the vegetables than many Asian restaurants and I appreciate that.

Our server was super fast & brought out some ice cream when we told her it was one of our birthdays. The inside is really spacious and modern. Unfortunately the food was what let me down which is the most important part. Full disclosure though - I'm not the biggest fan of Japanese bbq because Its very meat centered & I don't eat a lot of meat so I will say this review is just for the appetizers. The person I went with had the Japanese bbq and while it wasn't the best they've had, they did enjoy it. Even though I'm not the biggest fan of Japanese bbq, I really enjoy Asian food so I was excited to try other things on the menu. I ordered the pork gyoza and the cheese Rangoon. Pork gyoza is one of my favorite appetizers to get at Asian restaurants but these were just lacking flavor. They were really crispy but other than that, they were pretty bland. The cheese Rangoon was also really crispy which I love, but needed salt & other flavor. I was going to order the edamame too but after trying the other 2 appetizers, I wasn't feeling hopeful so I didn't. I would go back if someone wanted to but it's not a place I'd go out of my way to go to. They did have a pretty extensive menu so if I go back, I'll try a few other things.

We personally believe they have the best traditional Korean food in the area. We order the seafood tofu soup every time we visit because it always comes out piping hot and with a generous amount of protein-- perfect for the winter time. This time we tried the Jajang Tangsooyook Set as well, which will probably become a regular for us too. The jajang (black bean) noodles had a generous portion of beef and noodles, and the tangsooyook (fried pork) was so perfectly crispy and complemented so well with the sweet and sour sauce. On top of the great food, the price of every entree is beyond reasonable for the portion you get and the staff is always friendly! Another plus? They have Kpop playing on their TV. We have yet to have a mad meal here. Kaya appears to be a family run restaurant, so you can truly feel the love in the food and the staff. The building is older and you can tell not much has been done as far as renovations in a while, but everything was clean and comfortable. There isn't a front door facing the street but you enter on the side. On the front page of the menu there were some Specials, that seem to be an every night thing. I was excited to see that their dinner entrees came with the usual soup, salad, veggies, and rice but also noodles. Who could be mad about noodles? I went for the Hibachi Chicken and Shrimp for $28. We went near closing time so got a whole table to ourselves. Our waitress was very attentive and quickly brought our drinks and appetizers. I selected the ginger dressing for my salad. One of my favorite things about these places are all the sauces. I happily replied yes to all of the options. I like to mix the hot sauce in the white. Cuts the sweetness a little bit. I also don't know what they do special to make hot mustard but it's better than any I have bought in a grocery store. And I have tried! Despite a small audience, our chef was lively and gave us a good show. Strong kudos on his onion volcano! Quite a big flame. He noticed my husband's Washington Commanders hoodie and they had a nice conversation about football. He was very personable. The entree portions were huge and very flavorful. We each got a big helping of fried rice and noddles to start. Next was the vegetables (onions, zucchini, carrots) and my shrimp that also came with broccoli. Finally the chicken. Everything was delicious and I had plenty of leftovers to enjoy for future meals. I think we may have found our new teppanyaki place!
