Today was our first time trying Mr. Kirin and it was delicious! We were greeted soon as we entered, which was very nice. The restaurant has plenty of seating inside and out. We were very pleased with our food and as you can see from the pictures below, they give you more than enough. Oh! They also offer seafood boils. We will be visiting again.

Always my favorite local spot for a quick bite to eat and variety of appetizers. Hits the spot every time.

Mr Kirin is one of my favorite spots to get a shrimp boil. They have fast service, and the food is always hot. The staff is always friendly. They have a large variety of options, serving both seafood and hibachi. Everyone I've taken has enjoyed the food and continue to go back. If you haven't friend them you should.

What I remember most about my visit here was the 5 star service. It's extremely quick and the staff are all extremely friendly and accommodating. The seafood boil is great, and the hibachi is delicious. Atmosphere is casual and relaxed. It's a bit of a hidden gem, but a gem nonetheless.

Tonight was my first visit to Mr. Kirin. I made an online pickup order, and it was ready in about 10 minutes. Even though I picked it up, I did take a moment to look around. The inside is small, but they have a lot of outdoor seating and a lovely patio. Along with Japanese, they also offer cajun-style seafood. Their pricing is very reasonable. This evening, I went with Japanese options, but I will be sure to try their seafood sometime soon. I got crab ragoons, onion soup, and the hibachi chicken, which comes with your choice of rice and either an egg roll or soup, I chose the egg roll. All of this was under $20, and so so good! The soup was hot and savory, and the crab ragoons were super creamy and delicious! The hibachi chicken was a large portion, and I mixed in a little white sauce. It was so yummy, but it could have used a little more vegetables and chicken as it was mostly rice. The egg roll was small but packed with flavor and perfectly crispy. I will most definitely back to this little gem!

Front entry way of the Restaurant, they have 2 ways to enter.

Decided to try Mr.Kirin for the first time and it was good and moderately priced. They had a ton of door dash orders going out while we waited for our food. The vegetable tempura was very nice and not greasy. Our entrees were good but I really wished the spring rolls were made in house, these were the standard frozen ones. Next time i want to try a bubble tea.

Even after so many months this place is solid. Totally consistent. Portion sizes still amazing. Not a negative thing to say. This is my go-to for hibachi.

Mr. Kirin is another restaurant on our new office location bucket list. My coworkers and I frequent here quite a lot. They have a large menu that features Cajun seafood (more expensive), pasta with chicken or shrimp and you can pick your sauce, Japanese hibachi, and a few Chinese dishes. They also offer a large bubble tea menu. Like I said, a wide array of choices. You order at the counter and then get your drink cup and pick a table. They bring your food out to you in takeout boxes, which is actually quite convenient because of the large portion sizes. The woman who works the counter is very busy but nice if you can have more than a few seconds with her. She always answers questions well and is quick to bring extra sauces if needed. They do a heavy takeout business so poor thing is always swamped but she handles it well. I can't speak for the Cajun seafood but plan to get it to take home to my family one day. It's just too much for a work lunch. The hibachi menu is extensive and features more than your average chicken, shrimp, and steak. They have scallops, tilapia, and salmon. So good! And the prices for the hibachi is very reasonable. The ambiance is generic but I don't care with the food being so delicious and quick! I would give Mr. Kirin a solid 4.5 but had to round up for the sake of the stars.

I give them a solid 31/2 rating as I did not eat in to have a total experience . The delivery was great . A solid value and the hibachi entrees of shrimp and chicken and ribeye were tasty. I liked the convenience of delivery and it came well packaged, hot and overall good flavor. It was not too salty as many hibachi places are . The vegetables was mostly onion with a few carrots and squash. The egg rolls were really good, not too greasy. I would definitely order again and may be tempted to try some of their seafood dishes that are designed to be like steamer pots with seafood , corn and potatoes . The food was fresh and given the size , leftovers heated up well.

I currently live in a land-locked Midwest state so it's been a minute since I've had boiled cajun/garlic butter shrimp & crawfish. Being in the area for business, I thought I might as well take advantage of it. Mr Kirin did not disappoint in scratching my itch. Solid flavor & cooked just right (overcooked shellfish gets mushy). I ordered the "hot" spice level, but if I go back I'll get "extra hot". It did have a kick, but I kind of wanted it to feel like I'd made a significant error in judgement so it would've been a real accomplishment in powering through & finishing it all. Anyway, recommended!

Good new spot in town to check out. It's an interesting concept with the Cajun seafood/hibachi combination. I personally don't eat seafood so was only there to get hibachi. They just opened up about a week ago and I think the prices for what you get are great. My teriyaki chicken came with white or fried rice, veggies and your choice of an egg roll or soup for $6.75. They had many covid protocols in place including the normal mask, signs, sanitizer. One I hadn't seen at a restaurant yet was a self standing thermometer/temperature reader when you walk in.

I started with a Cajun Martini made with jalapeño-infused vodka, and it was exactly what I hoped it would be. It did not taste artificially jalapeño-flavored; it had a real kick and just the right amount of heat. We started with the Crawfish Rangoon Dip, and honestly, I could have made a meal out of it. I have had Rangoon dips before, but this one was especially smooth and full of flavor. If I had been at home, I probably would have been tempted to run my finger around the bowl to get every last bit. For my entrée, I had the Shrimp Étouffée. Others at the table ordered the Duck Jambalaya, Shrimp and Grits, and Gumbo Yaya. My dish seemed to get better with every bite. The Creole stew was rich and deeply flavorful without being over the top. I was especially glad our waitress suggested adding a side of garlic bread to mop up the sauce. Even the garlic bread stood out, toasted on the grill with a slightly smoky flavor. It felt like real attention had been paid to every detail. We all tried each other's dishes, and I would happily go back and order any one of them. The banana pudding at the end of the meal was just as good. It had a strong banana flavor and was not overly sweet. Our servers were friendly and attentive, and the meal moved at a relaxed pace. We never felt rushed. My only complaint was the noise level. The restaurant has a tiled ceiling, and it got loud enough that at times, it was difficult to hear people on the other side of the table. Even with that, I would go back to Blue Denim!

This is not only my top seafood boil bag place in the city butttt this is also where I go when I'm craving raw oysters like tonight. My hands are always messy here so I'm never able to get photos but I don't think I need evidence of the glutinous activities I divulge in here. Tonight I had a dozen and a half of oysters for my starter with garlic butter and lemon pepper boil sauce on the side & extra extra lemons and let me tell you they did not disappoint. They're usually bigger but it is winter so I won't complain. The bar is always hit or miss hence the missing star and tonight it was a miss for me. I order the gone fishing fish bowl and asked for extra sour it was extremely flat and felt like it was missing something. They definitely didn't add the extra sour either. I gave the drink to my companion as not to waste but it wasn't worth it. For my boil bar I had craw fish and green mussels in Gallic butter and Cajun hot with a side of rice and eggs. It was phenomenal per usual. Very consistent and delicious. The restaurant was great tonight. Friday. On the weekends it can get extremely loud when they are doing live music. Those are my least favorite nights. You have to yell over the music to hear the person right next to you. But tonight the music was at an appropriate volume. ( at the point when the boil came out my hands had oyster on them but it was amazing I promise )

Between excellent service, from the host to the kitchen staff, and being a bright, cheery place decorated in a modern farmhouse feel (only complaint is the HARD seating), we love this place. The food is always delicious and seasoned perfectly with FLAVOR. For the appetizer, the Salad Pizza is absolutely scrumptious and was recommended by our server our first visit here last year. Honestly, it keeps bringing us back. The flavors are incredible. It has feta, mozzarella, topped with organic greens, shaved onions, tossed in a lemon/dijon dressing with shaved parmesan. It's a flavor bomb in the mouth. The meatloaf, is to die for. If you're a meatloaf eater this is for you. It's so tender and juicy and perfectly seasoned. Melts in your mouth and the sauce on top is the perfect blend of sweet and savory to top it off. For my two sides this time I chose the fried brussels sprouts and the greens. The greens are always seasoned perfectly and the brussels sprouts were crispy and full of flavor. They tasted even better dipped in my meatloaf sauce so that was a win-win. My boyfriend had the special which was short ribs. For his two sides, he had greens and green beans. The short rib was perfectly tender and absolutely delicious full of flavor and moist for him. The green beans and the greens were also perfect as well full of flavor, just enough fat and butter. It's a great little date spot or a family dinner. They also have outdoor seating covered with umbrellas. There's a bar inside with a TV if you choose to go watch sports and the food here is always on point full of flavor and makes you want to come back and try more things on the menu. It closed in early February for what were supposed to be renovations, only to reopen months later with a new name and a new concept, trading slightly upscale Southern for more upscale Italian. In some regards, this makes sense - it fills a void created by the closure of Lulu and Blu - but in other ways, it's a massive gamble. My wife and I went for our anniversary dinner, and while it was an overall pleasant experience, it also made us miss Magnolia. The higher price point is the chief culprit. Otto and Blue offers pastas in the $20s and entrees starting in the $30s, bread and olive oil not included. While we were celebrating an occasion that merited such a splurge, it's hard to imagine the restaurant remaining competitive at those prices once the sheen of newness wears off. Look past that, however, and Otto and Blue shines in both ambiance and service. It's classy without being stuffy, and the dark turquoise tones suit it well. Allison, a Magnolia Blue mainstay, was personable and attentive and provided excellent service throughout the meal. Otto and Blue's menu offers apps, salads, pastas, and entrees. It's predominantly Italian albeit with a few options for the steak-and-potatoes crowd. The dishes range from recognizably classic (rigatoni Bolognese) to conspicuously elevated (halibut piccatta). After mulling over several offerings, we went with the bread service, tagliatelle, and duck cacciatore. The food ranged from fairly good to outstanding. While $9 for bread is a tough pill to swallow, they executed it as well as they possibly could have: a hot, fresh ciabatta with tasty herb butter, olive relish, and a quality olive oil-balsamic combo as accompaniments. The cacciatore boasted a pair of duck legs confit, and while I'm usually no fan of dark meat poultry, these were prepared well with crispy skin and plenty of meat. For a typically hearty dish, the sauce seemed light (and a bit subdued), but that could be a consequence of serving atop polenta (more absorbent) rather than pasta. Speaking of pastas and sauces, the tagliatelle hit a nice balance of creamy and zesty without swimming in its white wine lemon sauce. Surprisingly, the highlight of the meal ended up being the dessert that Otto and Blue kindly offered as an anniversary gift. A scoop of vanilla bean gelato came adorned with a Biscoff cookie, a drizzle of olive oil, and a dash of salt. If salt and especially olive oil on ice cream seem vaguely blasphemous, don't knock it until you try it. Each bite was thoroughly delicious. It's a given that good food doesn't come cheap, but even so, Otto and Blue has no margin for error to justify what it charges. On food alone, it was close but not quite there. However, the overall experience made it worthwhile, and I have no regrets about dining here.
