Our server had a headphone in the whole time and wasn't rude at all but also wasn't super friendly. Our hibachi chef did a great job and was fantastic. Only thing I would say is that the noodles and rice don't have a ton of flavor to them. The rice is simply rice, egg, salt, pepper, and whatever darker sauce (like soy and teriyaki). No other vegetables and the pepper is hardly visible or taste-able. The noodles were just sauce and noodle. I would definitely eat here again. We came for the hibachi lunch special and it is a VERY large amount of food for your money so definitely worth it. Just wish there was a little more flavor in the sides/fillers. read more

I can't believe this place has less than four stars. Food is amazing! I've been a few times now and always get the chicken + filet hibachi dinner, and it's great. The variety and proportions are good and everything tastes great every time. We've been coming here for years, for all celebrations and we love this place. However, I'm a server and I'm very put off by the experience we had tonight. We were charged a gratuity charge on our bill and were not notified and then asked to tip more with a note that said additional tip would be split with the cooks. I asked if the included gratuity charge went towards the server and they responded with "not really" the cooks get "most of it" and anything additional tipped would then go to the server... so we were charged $30 in included gratuity on our $170 bill... not notified... bill was $220...my dad paid, then expected to tip another 20% on top of that. The staff ended up with a $70 tip because they told us that the included gratuity would not go toward the server and we did not want to leave the server with no tip. We're very discouraged and our family will likely not return. read more

First time at this hibachi and we made a reservation for 6. We showed up right on time and we were sat at the hibachi. The waitress came to our table immediately and took our drink order. When she came back we ordered an appetizer and I had the free coupon from the Yelp app and the waitress said she would take it off and never did. The chef was good and entertained us well. We each had a different meat or fish on the grill. We had 2 birthdays and they made a nice birthday celebration for them! The food is your run-of-the-mill hibachi grill. There's nothing spectacular about it. I ordered my steak to be rare to mid rare and got pretty much well done. Love it love it love it. Both the Hibachi cook in front of you and the sushi, tempura side. All the food is delicious and all my kids and now grandkids enjoy the "show". I have eaten there many times and ordered food to go as well, without issue. Today I ordered Hibachi fried rice, specifically like served when dining in. What I got was a small portion (very) of white rice only, slightly colored light brown with white rice showing too. I asked the female server about the discrepancy- she rolled her eyes, very condescendingly saying it is what it is. When I spoke with the manager I got nowhere, other than saying he would talk to her. Bottom line, service was terrible and the rice was dry and flavorless. Avoid! Sushi was pretty good for Illinois, although it was a little warm for being raw fish. Hibachi was great but different than the teriyaki sauce style I'm used to. The hibachi was very garlicky with heavy black pepper. Still tasty, just different than expected. read more

They are one of the few who make individual order sushi (more authentic ones, like sweet egg), and carry great Ramen and don. Noted they are the BEST ramen in town. Don't insult me by bringing Anju up. It's very embarrassing Anju serve customers with the gross broth they have. Over time, I tried their hibachi, lunch box, sushi, don, ramen. All are very good! Food is very good and plentiful, as it's obviously cooked right in front of you. Entertainment is the chef as they prepare the food with a bit of flare. Getting the table prepared for guests is a process for the staff but they were as expedient as possible. Crystal and Louie the hibachi chef are probably the best and most friendly people at this restaurant. I came in today and our server Crystal our server remember us (granted this was some time last year during fall semester) and asked if we wanted the chef Louie again. The last time we had Louie he was so funny and very interactive with the crowd. A lot of funny jokes and was able to read the crowd of a bunch of college kids and parents of them. Today he remembered us and had the same kind of jokes even though it was a different crowd of people. Honestly was probably the most fun I had ever at a hibachi restaurant.
