iconic toilet wall. We came almost as a joke but it was so fun to explore the wide variety of designs and take an accessibility lens to the designs. They have a great show room and history to read through. The team seemed very helpful and kind!

I wasn't planning on stopping, but the Kohler Design Center caught my eye as I passed through town--and wow, I'm glad I turned around. From the moment I walked in, it felt like I'd stumbled into a designer's dream playground. Every corner is packed with beautifully curated displays of Kohler's latest creations, from sleek modern faucets (like that ultra-minimal black Kallista one!) to over-the-top spa-style shower setups that made me want to redesign my entire bathroom on the spot. One of the most impressive setups was this massive stone-tiled shower wall with dual rain heads, body sprays, and even a steam option--seriously, it felt like a high-end spa. Just a few steps away, I found a stunning sculptural bathtub nestled beside a cozy fireplace and huge windows. The natural light in this space made the whole thing feel both elegant and soothing. Even the double sink vanity with its wavy mirror and playful lights added a fun, artistic touch. But the surprise highlight? The Kohler Museum downstairs. It's way more than a company archive--it dives into the family history, design innovations, and even Kohler's contributions during wartime. I found myself unexpectedly moved by how deep the roots of this brand run. The place was busy but not overwhelming, with plenty of room to browse and explore. I only wish my wife had been there--this is totally her kind of place, full of design inspiration and cool vintage pieces like colorful toilets and sinks from decades past. Definitely one of those "hidden in plain sight" stops that ends up being a highlight of your trip.

This place is a dream come true! My parents had told me this spot was worth a stop, but didn't prepare me for the beauty and design inspo that would overwhelm me with joy. Yes, the town is Kohler, as in the toilets and faucets. Yes, this is their showroom and museum. And yes, it's magical! Upon arrival, you're greeted by the staff and welcomed in. They have some cute merch and swag, and a few spaces for consultations if you're shopping with a purpose. On the main floor at the entrance, you'll find the start of the kitchen showroom with a plethora of faucet types and examples. Further back, you'll find bathroom sinks, showers and bathroom fixings and examples - all stunning! On the lower level, you'll find the Kohler museum, which is free and actually so interesting! They share the history of Kohler with some epic mid-century color toilets, funky fixtures and more. They also cover the history of the American Club, the golf course, and the spa. I don't usually sit and watch museum short films, but I found myself so interested in all of the history here! On the upper level, you'll find example bathrooms - and beware, it will give you major bathroom envy! I couldn't stop taking photos of the stunning showers, tubs and designs that were giving me so many ideas and inspo. Truly a joy to walk through and explore - Kohler knocked it out of the park with this, and I'll recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Stayed at the American club hotel and people were constantly telling us we needed to check out the design center. It was amazing! So many appliances and bathroom equipment to truly visualize your dream home. They do appointments for anyone who wants to speak with a designer. The museum is on the bottom floor and it was phenomenal. Extremely intriguing and engaging.

This place is pretty cool, id recommend it to anyone in the area or driving thru. I wanted to originally do a factory tour but they only do them M-F (i believe) at 8am so we didn't make the cut. Parking was very easy to get, right off the street. There was a large parking lot across the way, i believe that's employee only though. When you walk in its pretty baffling. I think I told my husband on more than one occasion that a toilet made me feel poor. It displays all new technology that you will never see in a regular every day store such as home depot or lowes. What I really enjoyed was all the history. This place had pretty much every product they had invented. Old tubs, toilets, fixtures, lawn items.. Like everything! All in all i wouldn't return, once you've seen it you've seen it kind of thing but again i would recommend it to anyone near by.

The museum here at their Design Center is free and a nice opportunity to learn about the prominent Kohler family business.  They have a classy museum on the lower level (actually the whole place is classy) and I saw that they also have a staffer giving lectures to those interested (they were possibly on a reserved factory tour).  You can learn about how the Kohler family settled in this area and grew their business starting with its founding way back in 1873.  On the main floor and second level of the Design Center you can view all of their various products in elegant showroom style display and do your bath or kitchen remodeling project research, etc.  It was a nice, leisurely, and enlightening one hour stop for us here as we were basically passing by on our way to Door County.  They also offer a free 2 - 2.5 hour factory/manufacturing tour requiring a reservation and I may consider returning for that one day.

Great entertainment even if you are not into faucets, sinks and toilets. This free showroom for Kohler products is very interesting. See the latest and in some cases the most expensive fixtures for your home. Our group had alot of fun walking through the displays - it was like we were on some HGTV show. For those who like history the basement level gives the history of the company and the town through a series of displays . I have to remember that they give free factory tours and plan accordingly the next time we are planning to be in this part of Wisconsin.

I have come here at least once a year. I love coming here because I love looking at the different bathroom & kitchen layouts. It always gives me great ideas that I want to do to my house (but probably never will). Also, you have to come see the wall of toilets! I also love coming here during the Kohler Food & Wine Festival because there are free demonstrations here. Also, they have a lot of different vendors set up - there is a jelly/jam guy who sells great stuff (although I can't remember his name...oops!) I definitely recommend coming here at least once in your lifetime.

We were greeted by such a nice man at the door who explained it to us. This place has got 3 floors of design bliss: floor 1 (basement) covers the Kohler history, floor 2 (main floor) is dedicated to showcasing current Kohler products, and floor 3 is a showcase of installations from several interior designers using kohler products. I don't have children, but I'm not entirely sure if this is a good place to bring children- especially adventurous ones who like to touch things. On the main floor where they showcase their products, they have lots of fully-functional showers, toilets, sinks, and bathtubs. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a small child trying to climb into one of the bathtubs that was full of water... I'm a sucker for good design, and I enjoy he clean lines of some of the Kohler products. While it was nice to see their product line up, my favorite part of the experience was seeing the installations. I wish they had more of these. These installations are like Pinterest pin-boards come to life. A real-life example of what could be yours for a small sum of several thousands of dollars! The design museum is free and a great way to spend an hour or so, especially for fans of design.

I have been here several times and I forget how cool this place really is. The first place I love to go is the basement to check out the history of Kohler...it is a free museum and recently my little one really enjoyed it. She kept asking me questions about what we were looking at and I was reading off the signs. She looked up at me and said, "Daddy you know everything!" I did not tell her I was reading because I want to stay as cool as possible in her eyes because during the teenage years I am going to be stupid. It is amazing to see the history of this company and what they built. This company gave many skilled immigrants a place to live and work. They even taught them how to become citizens of the United States. How cool is that? I do not know any companies that do that now or even make an attempt of doing that! You could see that they really cared about there workers and made sure they had the best of everything. It is also amazing to see how Kohler is more then just sinks and plumbing. They had many products like a dishwasher from the 1920's...that just seems revolutionary to me. I was also impressed how they made bombs and torpedo's during WWII and they received a nice award from the Department of Defense. We call that patriotic and I am glad to see that Kohler is still going strong. I must also give you a tip...if you check in on 4square you might get a free cup of coffee. I checked in and went to the front desk and was awarded a nice cup of hazelnut. Other shoppers were having a little envy of me with my fancy Kohler Coffee Cup. It also saved me a dollar...which isn't bad for a cup of coffee. The design center will give you lots of ideas about how you can spend $50,000+ on a dream bathroom...yeah it is a dream unless you win the lottery. It is fun to check out everything they have to offer. I like watching the couples here. The body language is so funny. The wife is already to buy it and the husband looks like he is ready to cry or run out the front door. It all looks amazing but it does not mean that we can all afford it. I always forget that there is a tour of the factory...I need to plan a little more time into my next visit because that would be cool to see how everything is made. So if you are looking for some design ideas and you are in the area then I would make a trek out to see what Kohler has set up. You can hit the history museum and even grab a beer with some food at the Kohler Bar down the street from here.

Who would've thought having dinner while surrounded by toilets would be such an interesting experience? We had dinner at the the design center as a part of a professional meeting in Sheboygan. The showrooms are amazing and make you realize how many options are available when it comes to faucets, showers and toilets. Make sure you check out the museum downstairs, where they have pretty cool stuff...and obviously the bathrooms are as high end as it could get. I'm not sure if they provided the good or was it catered from an external venue...the food was ok. They served various types of food; cod and chips, hot wings, sliders and chips and guacamole. There were food on different levels as well as desserts on the middle level around jacuzzi tubs :)
