Dirty disorganized and disgusting... Visible filth on the counters and clothes everywhere. The store was hot, sticky and dirty.

I am at the store and being told corporate is only providing payroll for 1 person to work cash register. Line is like 25 people long and people are just dropping stuff and leaving. read more

I went to Kohl's to return an Amazon package and had the most amazing experience. As soon as I walked into the store there was a customer service rep at the door to welcome me and asked how he can help me. I told him that I wanted to return an Amazon package he instructed me to go straight to the back and you'll see the customer service in the back. There was another customer service rep right next to him and he said I'm going that way I'll take you he toon me all the way to the back which I probably would have had a difficult time finding but because of his assistance it was quick and easy. He took my package processed it and returned it and gave me some coupons for shopping in the store for the day which of course I did. I then went to check out and the customer service rep at the front of the store a check out told me I should join the rewards program and gave me the paperwork to process it and I earn some reward points that day I will definitely be back to the Kohl's in Clifton Park read more

Standard Kohl's, but if there's a shoe department, I couldn't find it, and if there was a clerk available to help me find things, I couldn't find him or her. This particular location seems to have more clothes and fewer household items, particularly electrics, than other Kohl's I've visited, although it had a somewhat beefier selection of kitchen stuff (mostly in the "As Seen on TV" type of category -- Food Network, Bobby Flay line, etc.) The thing I resent about Kohl's as a brand is you HAVE to get their discount coupons in order for the pricing to make sense. I once did a direct comparison of five identical items that both Target and Kohl's carried, and the Target prices were the same, within a penny or two, as Kohl's prices - with the coupons. The whole store is premised on a bait and switch. That said, we frequented Kohl's in the past because they did have better goods in some areas than the discount department stores and the shopping is lower key than a traditional large department store a la Macy's. But this location doesn't have the same spread of goods we are accustomed to, and one thing you want from a name-brand chain store is consistency. So, fail to Kohl's on this one. One final nit, but it's a serious one as far as I'm concerned: the music was pumped up WAY too loud. I probably wouldn't complain if it was music I liked, of course, but when one is shopping, the music is supposed to relax you, not make you wish you could finish your business and get the heck outta there before you go deaf. (And if I go deaf, I want to go deaf to something more interesting.) I feel like a hatah this week, giving a string of low ratings to places, but this section of Clifton Park seems to be retail hell. read more

The minuses offset the plusses of this Kohl's. I think it's a slightly larger than average Kohl's, which means a better selection. It even has a small fitness section. But a larger store means larger amounts of housekeeping and tidying, and many sections of the store were in need of being straightened out and reorganized. You'd think a larger store would mean a larger number of cashiers, but that was not the case, and the line to check out was also larger than average. read more

Kohl's USED TO BE MY "GO TO" department store. NOT ANY MORE! They have a NEW ELECTRONICS RETURN POLICY! 30 DAYS! That's it. If you shop there make sure you plan on the 30 day ELECTRONICS RETURN POLICY. EVEN IF IT'S A GIFT! My Wife bought me a $500 camera on sale for our 40th Wedding Anniversary. I got very sick (and still am) right before she gave it to me. IT'S STILL SEALED AND WE HAVE THE SALES RECEIPT. With all the doctors appointments and tests the entire Summer passed by and I never got to open the box. I told my Wife she could return it since until now WE'VE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH A RETURN. With the mounting medical bills that money could be used elsewhere. Kohl's was always great. Not now. Stick with that new return policy and keep losing long time customers. You've lost 2 just in this household plus the friends I have told the story too. GOODBYE KOHL'S ! TARGET IS CLOSER ANYWAY. read more

There are morons working at this store! My son went in to get an adjustment on something he purchased that was less money online. The only male working there instead made a return and charged my son on his bankcard the original purchase price twice! My son had tried to get it rectified but the employee did a return twice and a purchase twice without the discounted adjustment. Now my son may get an overcharge fee from his bank because of the idiot at the store! It's time to contact Corporate Offices and the Better Business Bureau! They shouldn't hire idiots! read more

So I really only shop at Kohls on Black friday, and maybe once or twice during the year. It always has the best of the best sales on black friday, and usually it sends flyers offering same amazing deals during the year. It's got an excellent selection of just about everything you'd need, clothing, bedding, housewares, shoes, jewelry, toys. The younger clothing can be some what disorganized at times, but the rest of the store is usually very put together and well organized and labeled. Every time I've been here i've also received quick and easy customer service, they are usually adequately staffed and theres not usually a unnecessary wait in line. You also get more money for each dollar you spend you get cash to use two weeks later, if you can remember. which is a great deal. read more

I went in to make a return the day after Christmas, quite early in the morning, to beat out any crowds. After finally being directed toward the "front" of the store to the customer service desk (because apparently the second set of doors, by the registers are magically not in the front, according to the snotty cashier), I stood in line for about 5 minutes, making my way to the front before the very awkward employee behind the customer service desk informed myself and the others in line behind me that we'd need to move four feet over to the other "line" because the line we were in was intended for some other non-existent purpose. Yeah, she seriously had us move 4 feet for absolutely no reason before she called me up to her anyway. I then proceeded to return one item before attempting to return another. Since the second item was mailed to me, as a gift, I did not have a receipt for it but, since it was less than $5, it should have been no problem. However, she immediately rang it up as store credit without even consulting me on this problem. I informed her that I had no interest in store credit as I would not shop at Kohls (overpriced, unorganized and lacking any sense of customer service are my key reasons) and wanted cash back for this apparently unused and unwanted item. She said that she wouldn't be able to do that, despite it's low cost (which any other store in the country has no problem with) and that store credit was the only option. That item is still in a bag, hanging in my entryway, in case anyone wants a beige cami with built-in bra. :) read more

I usually love kohls but this one sucks! Went in here looking for a new years dress. They hardly had anything! I found 1 rack of juniors dresses! Luckily I found one in the sale rack and shoes, so the whole trip wasn't a bust! read more

It's Kohls a department store. Always have good sales. Wife saves up with kohls cash and goes crazy.

Well gave it another chance. It was Black Friday and I thought maybe they would put up a good front for the occasion. Yes, they were busy but what a mess! I waited in line for the doors to open but they quickly sold out of the items I was looking for. I went to the Men's department and clothing was in messy piles and all over the floor. People were actually walking on top of them. There was not many people shopping the men's department so I have to assume because I was there so early the store didn't even bother to clean up before the big day. I can't even begin to tell you about how badly the floors were. Just that they were filthy! Some parts looked like someone walked through them after walking through a dog pile, very dirty store. Like last time I shuffled through mounds of clothing. I eventually gave up and went to Penneys. Found what I needed, in a much cleaner store. I can't speak for other Kohls but this one really needs some work! read more

Wow this has to be the worst costumer service I have ever received. I was standing behind the women being cashed out by the cash register 'Barbara' and this was my first time here ever I just needed a pair of shoes for a graduation, and she asked me if I was in line or next and I responded 'yes' then says 'well the line starts *points* back there' then the other women behind me proceeds to say 'oh no they were first' and Barbara continues to point out that the lines starts back there. Then I am next in line and I accidentally put the shoes on the opposite side of the counter- caught myself immediately saying "oops wrong side my bad" and Barbara says "well yeah thats where the scanner is" when she finishes checking the items out I ask if it is chip or swipe- "chip obviously"... than when she puts my item in the bag she says "receipts in the bag" and turns and starts checking out the next customer- no greeting to her either or farewell. This women needs a major attitude adjustment and some help using her manners. read more

My fiance and I went to Kohl's and picked out a bracelet. The cashier told us we couldn't stack coupons in the store, so she suggested we order online (where we could use coupon codes) and have it "delivered" to the store, which would take about half an hour to process. She placed the bracelet in a drawer for safekeeping. I never received a notification on my phone that the "delivery" was ready, so after an hour we went to customer service, who told us they had cancelled our order because they couldn't find the bracelet. They suggested we place another order. So we placed an online order to be delivered to our apartment (we'd been waiting at Kohl's long enough), and figured surely the national Kohl's warehouse would just send us one of their bracelets. Lo and behold we were wrong, and two days later I received an email that Kohl's had cancelled our order. I don't know why they cancelled it, but if the bracelet is out of stock, they should say so. read more

Horrible shopping experience. Was shopping for my wife off of a Christmas list for herself and others. She listed items that she said could be found at Kohls. I thought that was great, I knew where to go to complete the list. Store was a complete mess! I guess that is to be expected this time of year so I let that slide. What was worse was that I was in a store I was unfamiliar with and  sought the help of an employee. I finally did find one. I was told "sorry I am MGM and you need a home associate to look for that." Really, its just an iron. What the heck is MGM? I thought they were a part of Disney! She told me to go over to the irons and she would have someone sent over. I waited ten minutes, nothing. I then went to seek an employee again. Not finding any I pressed a button on a price checking machine. A employee came over, after three calls went overhead and told me she was sorry but worked in shoes. I told her that the MGM employee said she would send someone over. She apologized and said that they were probably all on register. Again I was promised a call for someone from the department I needed would be called. I didn't have as much patience this time. After five minutes I gave up and left leaving the rest of my cart behind. Very poor customer service! Must cost you a lot of sales if this is the norm. read more
