The Sephora employee named Sabrina needs to lower her attitude or maybe get some more sleep. When I walked into the Sephora store, I was excited to purchase a perfume or two, as a huge family event was up and coming within a few days. But, instead of being treated and asked if I was looking for something in specific, I was greeted with a smudge, harsh stare, hazy, uninteresting look on Sabrina's face. As soon as I saw this, I swiftly turned back to the entrance and exited. Instead, I sped over to the nearest Ulta beauty and was met with real professionals that know how to cater their customers and atleast look somewhat pleasant. Needless to say, I will not be going back nor recommending this Kohls or Sephora to any friends, family, or even strangers, thanks to Sabrina. read more

Poor customer service! the sales associates were very disrespectful and condescending. As of May 2025 they no longer have a grace period for Kohls cash coupons (which is fine but I did not know this information previously). When I tried to redeem the Kohls cash (that expired the previous day) at time of purchase, I was met with hostility. After the associates clarified the new policy, the associate snatched the coupon from my hand and stated per "policy" they HAD to dispose of it. I did not appreciate this response, so I asked for it back but they were adamant about tossing it out. I asked why it mattered whether they or I threw it out and was met with silence and handed back the coupon. This experience was so ridiculous that I had to call customer service and report (which is something I NEVER do). Hopefully this odd behavior isn't a usual occurrence for others. read more

On Wednesday I took my daughter to Kohl's to buy her a backpack, lunch bag & sneakers for the upcoming school year. Now... I LOVE shopping at Kohl's . I've found some truly amazing deals there. However, I'm not liking what is happening at checkout. After making my purchase, the cashier (I don't remember his name) asked me to give him a good review on the survey that popped up on the bottom of my receipt. What?!? When did retail people start telling you, please give me a good review? It didn't sound like he was asking but telling me. I can see if this was a new business & it's starting out & wants to get people in the store, but, it's not. Is Kohl's asking the associates to do this or... was this just an over zealous young man asking people to help him look good? My receipt time is 11:13am on 7/30/2025. Now... this isn't the 1st time this has happened so... I'm wondering... if this is from corporate or... the store management? What's going on? IMO it's rude to ask for good reviews. People just want to shop, get their stuff & go. Hearing, "Please give me a good review " as they leave is not what customers want to hear. Also... P.S. please get the shoe dept organized. Great selection and the line was big and I decided to go to guest services and they said I can purchase an item there as well. So thankful we didn't have to wait in the front of the store in their overwhelming line ‍. They had a wide variety of boy shoes which we had been to many other shoe stores for my particular son . My experience going into Sephora a week back was terrible. Sabrina from Sephora was extremely rude even unwelcoming. Her responses to my questions were answered in a disrespectful manner(like if she just wanted me to hurry up and pay). I almost felt intimidated to even ask her anything. We come to this location from south San Jose often, it's a nice store and we do most of our shopping in Morgan Hill anyway. The Blossom Hill San Jose store had 50% off of their clearance (also a nice store) but I couldn't find the pants I wanted in my size. Thought we'd check out the Gilroy store since we were headed that way. Their clearance mark down was only 20% off. I asked the associate who asked the manager if they could match the discount from the Blossom Hill store and she said no because the tax rate is different in San Jose. She told the associate to tell me that. She then came over and told me herself. WTH? The tax rate is different so they can't match the 50% off? I get they don't want to match the discount but to make up a stupid story like that was ridiculous! Please, treat your customers better than that! read more

Kohl's is a great one stop shop for anything. But I have to say that this particular store stands out WAY above the rest. This is the first Kohl's where I've been greeted at the entrance by the store manager who directed me in the direction I needed to go. I came here looking for an ugly christmas sweater and I got a great deal on one, every employee i dealt with was friendly and helpful. This store was impeccably organized and they have the socially distancing down to a science. They had items in stock that I can never find at the Khol's in the Capitola mall....exceptional store! I really love shopping here. The staff always greet you upon entry. They have a huge inventory of great items here. In fact I buy all my pants and shorts here. Their manufacturers seem to knew how to get the best fit in pants. I hate to tell you how many pairs of shorts I have bought here. Besides great clothing, they have lots of other great items. For the kitchen they have all the latest gadgets. Numerous knives, garlic presses, spatulas, etc.and if you need a new pan there is a huge selection I love shopping here for the holidays. They have so many great seasonal items. Things like towels, cups, glasses etc. All with a seasonal message. And there are an unbelievable number of graphic tee shirts with so many different themes. This will be the last time i do a amazon return at this location! There was nobody waiting so i walked up to little return booth and the man by the name of VICTOR looked at me twice but just continued to package up the boxes and put labels on them. A simple acknowledgement would of been nice. He could of said hello I'll be right with you but no nothing. It was so rude, I honestly just wanted to walk away and just go to the San Jose one when I'm out there. Then after he finished all his packages he walked up and didn't even say anything again...I had to be the one to say hello and that I'd like to return my item. I never buy the regular prices cuz for me it's too pricey but they have great clearance items and that's what I love! A little better than the standard average Kohls from a guy's perspective of being forced in a wasted Sunday excursion to shop in Gilroy. Seriously, this place is better organized than a few of the Kohl's I've been extradited to in the Bay Area. There wasn't the usual "war zone" look that seems to permeate most Kohls on the weekends even though this place was very busy. I will not be shopping at any Kohl's location from this day forward. I returned one item of the five I had purchased using $10 Kohl's cash. Instead of dividing it between my total purchase. They took my whole $10. I tried to make purchases without using Kohl's cash and the cashier told me I had to use it. It happened again. I think others might consider this to be fraudulent. I waited for 30 minutes to get assistance in jewelry. While waiting I asked 3 associates I've I could get someone to help me in jewelry. I think Kohl's is the "Mervyn's" of this generation. Back in the late 80's and early 90's I was only allowed to shop for my shoes and clothes at Mervyn's. At the time, I really didn't mind, but then again, I didn't know what the real shopping world had to offer me. Walking into this store, it takes me back in time. No, it doesn't have 80's decor, it just bares a striking resemblance (product-wise) to Mervyn's. Maybe they have the same buyers... or maybe they purchase from the same suppliers. I'm not sure what it is exactly. This store is rather huge and does have a lot to offer. From clothing, makeup, perfumes to housewares. When this place has a sale, it's usually a pretty darn good sale at that. Last night, I got two pair of Isotoner gloves (one was $40, the other $43) both were 50% off! . . . Whatever! It made my night! The best part of the store experience would have to be the mannequin sitting in the wheelchair near the store entrance.... um, yea! read more

Wow I really forgot how bad the customer service is during the day time. The return cashier must have been very tired because she was not giving any smiles, even when I cracked a nervous joke about doing a return. I usually come at night when people are happier. When I started searching for clothes there was NOBODY available to help me. I never usually need help but it would be nice if I could be helped when needed. You know, this is not the store in which you'll find haute couture. You're really not even going to find anything terribly fashion forward. But if you need a serviceable pair of jeans or a nice sweater or blouse at a low cost, then this place is for you. My husband wears khaki's and polo's to work every day (typical computer geek attire); I was able to buy him decent clothes for under $100. While the shirts only lasted about a year, the pants are still going strong. The clothes here have a Target sort of feel to them, but generally less expensive. It's like Kohl's knows better than to pretend to be bigger than they are...unlike Target. read more

I'm giving them 1 star because we were able to find the Levi's my husband has been looking for. Negatives: The store was a mess! No customer service - no help on the floor. I asked the cashier if she had a store ad, and she didn't understand my question. I ended up walking away. As we were checking out, coworkers returning from lunch/break came to her and they started having a conversation as we were waiting for her to ring us up. When the coworkers walked away the cashier informed us they were employees and starting to ring us up. Because I'm not made of money, Kohl's is one of my go-to stores for clothes. Like other reviewers said, you do have to do a little hunting in here to find good stuff. A lot of it is cheap, lycra pattern crap with rhinestones, but there are also really cute tops and jeans too. Some of the collections they have sometimes have cute things, like Daisy Fuentes, Candy's or Apt. 9. They do have a Vera Wang collection, but I've never found anything in her line to be my style. Definitely check out the clearance racks...you can get some cute, fun tops for under $10 if you do some digging. I also like their lingerie, and unlike the clothing collection, the Vera Wang bras are actually nice and good quality. The shoes can be hit or miss for me. Sometimes they have cute things, other times they look like hooker shoes. They usually have good sales on jewelry too which I take advantage of. As far as store cleanliness and organization, this Kohl's is well maintained. I have been to other Kohl's that were dumpy with crap all over the place, but the employees here do a good job of keeping things clean and orderly. I've been to my fair share of Targets, K-Marts, Mervyn's, Wal-Marts and downtrodden Macy's.... and I was pleasantly surprised by a visit to the Kohl's in Gilroy. The clothing selection isn't necessarily fashion-forward, but great for the basics. I was able to snag some silk PJs for my mom (super-cute and 50% off) as well as earrings, stockings, a pocket watch for dad among other things. I spent under $100 and made a serious dent in my Christmas shopping list. For a weekend in December, the store was remarkably clean, well-organized and well-staffed. It didn't have that "raked-over" feeling that large stores often end up with. Not to mention, the bargain-shopper in me was happy to find three sizes of gift boxes available for free at the register. read more

Better than your average Mervyns but only because Kohl's is clean. Wearable clothes at cheap prices. Service is decent though its sometimes on the slow side. Its an ok place to grab some levis but thats pretty much all I get there. My advice, might as well go to TJ-max. They'll have pretty cheap prices and the clothes will be of a much higher calibur, or goodness forbid you actually go shop for real clothing. Just spent a couple of hours shopping here. Found a pair of slacks that were on sale for buy 1 get 1 half off. Racks were not marked well and so spent more time finding slacks of the same brand so I could get 1 at 1/2 price. Went to check out and there were no cashiers! Waited for quite a few minutes before yelling out "Hello". A person stocking clothes heard me and radioed in for someone to come check me out. I told the person that I was concerned that nobody was available at the checkout, and then I had waited a while. Her only response was well I'm just filling in for someone who must have gone home already. Not a great response in my opinion. And then it turns out that the second pair of slacks that I was going to buy were not on the buy one get 1/2 price sale because they were on a separate sale for only about a third off. She said she wouldn't charge me full price so that I could get half off of them. I decided not to buy them. And will probably not be back at this location again. Poor service!!! read more

Holy massive mess. Stopped in mid day for some shirts and pants and Men's dept looks like a freakin bomb went off...what a disheveled mess. Looked like a freakin Kmart. Was not worth sorting through the unorganized racks and clothes tossed everywhere and left empty handed rather than spending money. Where to begin? This was the worst Kohl's I ever shopped at. The store is really messy, all the clothes are cheap, most of them covered with glitter to look "cool", and the dressing rooms have bright fluorescent lights that make you look unflattering in just about anything. The WORST thing about this Kohl's though were the employees. Most of them were really unhelpful and rude teenage/college kids. Especially the customer service employees. I remember asking them about returning something, and they gave me the dirtiest looks then acted completely rude. Don't waste your time going to this place, I suggest shopping at Target and other clothing stores nearby instead. read more

Best thing about the store....the clearance sections here. Amazing and cheap finds!! Still pretty messy and the lines can be slow since it takes them awhile to open up more registers. Also, staff is helpful depending on who you ask.
