Love a good sale combine with their coupons and earning Kohl's cash. The place can be a bit messy and lots of items that seems out of place sometimes. I like this location because of their self checkout because as an introvert, I don't like to interact with people sometimes because of shyness or when I didn't feel social. When I do check out normal, staff is friendly and fast. A quick hello and bam, done with checking me out. I should disclose that I'm not usually a shopper at Kohl's. I ended up at this location in the Northland because my sister in law accidentally placed an order for in store pickup not realizing it, and since I had some business in this part of town, it was easy enough to stop in and run this quick errand for her. Also, I was kind of excited because I hadn't been to a Kohl's since probably 2006 and wondered if I'd been missing out on something. When I walked in the doors, I was overwhelmed with a sense of nostalgia, as I felt almost as if I'd traveled back in time. I'm sure someone else who maybe hasn't gone to a Target or a Mall, or any big box store in several years would feel the same way there, but I hadn't been to a Kohl's in over ten years and it honestly felt like nothing had changed. It was like I entered the store as a 35 year old woman and upon opening the doors I was once again a kid shopping with my mom in the early aughts. Everything from the layout, to the items for sale, to the smell of the store, just hit me like I was 16. After acclimating to my environment I was on my way to find customer service (as the email told me to do). I kept following signs and I will say, for someone that isn't familiar with Kohl's it was pretty hidden way in the back. One person working saw me looking confused and helped me find it. Once I got there I explained my situation and the woman at the cashier said she'd have to go to their other storage area to get this particular item and then started walking. Not knowing what to do (again Kohl's newbie here), I followed here. About 3 minutes into our walk to the other side of the store she sighed and said "you don't need to follow me, why don't you shop and look at something here - I'll be back" in a kind of curt voice. I was a bit taken aback, as honestly she had given me no direction, and how was I supposed to know what to do? At any rate I stopped following her and took in the toy section while I waited. She returned a few minutes later with my sister in law's item, and I was on my way. Overall, I got the impression that Kohl's had some good bargains, and a huge variety of items to shop. I think I might bump this location up to four stars if the employee working the customer service area hadn't been so weird/rude to me. read more

This Kohl's location is much like any other. The racks are too close together. You have to fight to get your mini cart through the displays. People abandon merchandise everywhere, willy nilly, making the store seem really messy. However, bonus points for carrying the Rock N Republic plus line. I haven't seen it anywhere else previously and they have some really cute things. As with all Kohl's locations, there are plenty of bargains to be had at any given time. read more

This Kohl's was clean and busy! I didn't shop I went in for an amazon return, the line was long but they did call up extra associates to get it down quickly. The customer service/returns are in the back which can be a pain but get why -bring customers to the back of the store. read more

So this Kohl's is just like so many others - and if you think its not worth stopping by, you may be surprised. They usually have a decent selection of 'everything' and so if you're trying to find that special shoes / workout gear / cold weather clothes / bedding / luggage / wacky gift / random never ever sold Wii game this is your place. I find it a great place to pickup my 'business casual' slacks, polos and shirts at decent prices - of course, if you're looking for top-notch fashion you'll have to keep on moving on read more

It's been a while since I've stepped foot in a Kohls but I always remember enjoying shopping there and excitedly finding great deals and super cute stuff. Today was completely different. The store is in a strip mall alongside several empty retail locations but other than that, the outside was fine. I walked in and was immediately overwhelmed with just the amount of stuff...everywhere. Literally everywhere I turned there were things overflowing racks and carts, I'm assuming waiting for employees to put them away. It wasn't overly crowded, which was nice, but it didn't matter because after a few minutes browsing around, I was ready to get out. It didn't seem work going through racks and racks of random clothes, not assorted by any rhyme or reason. It was impossible to know if anything was on an on sale rack since nothing seemed to be in the right place. After about 15 minutes I left, empty handed. I'd rather lay a few bucks more to shop at a place that's enjoyable and well organized. read more

Love Kohl's, but holy smokes! Not only did I just wait in the 15 person line for almost 30 minutes, but one (of the two on that side of the store with line just as long on other side) checkers seemed to be going purposely, comically, obtusely... I hadn't been to a Kohl's store for awhile. It has been five years maybe. I always thought it was a great store - nice selection of quality clothes at a reasonable price. I needed to pick up a couple of pairs of Dockers for a new job. Wow, what a mess that department was! If I had brought my phone I would have taken a couple of pictures. There was wadded up pants heaped on half of the shelves. On the shelves that appeared somewhat neat, a cursory glance revealed that there was literally no sorting at all. The sizes were COMPLETELY random and I'm not exaggerating. The models on each shelf were fairly random as well, causing me to accidentally get a pair of pants that I later had to exchange. This got me to thinking - I wonder if Amazon has Dockers. Of course the answer is yes. That's where I'll go next time! My advice to Kohl's - someone needs to be fired, probably a manager or two. read more

Disappearing diamond wedding rings at Kohl's!!?? My fiance and I are getting ready for our wedding in June 2012 and have had a horrible experience with Kohl's. We purchased the first ring at the Shawnee Mission store's Kohl's kiosk in October and brought it in the Shawnee Mission store to be re-sized in January. They called to let us know it's in and we go to pick it up and it's no where to be found. We were so upset and puzzled about how a store can 'misplace' a diamond ring??? We ordered another ring, because they promised this doesn't ever happened and gave an even better offer than we had before. We choose to use a different store and decided to drop it off at the the Metro North store because for sure, this can't happen again, right?!? After waiting for it to come back from getting re-sized, guess what happens? They lose it again! This time, we want some answers. They're not giving us any answers and while they are offering an even deeper discount, it's still not enough. I know wedding planning can be stressful and it's not roses and cake all the time. But we feel violated and I, especially feel robbed of the experience of loving my ring and looking forward to having it on my finger for the rest of life. read more

I like this store. They have quality products and staff is helpful It is Christmas and you will have more shoppers. I appreciate you bringing in more choices in the season gift giving season. Of coarse there are so many shoppers people need to remember that we may have to wait. But that is the way it is this time of year. read more

This is a decent Kohl's, usually pretty clean and not as busy as some of the other KC Area Kohls stores. The staff is average, usually pretty nice but not overly helpful. Normally they have a pretty good selection because they are shopped less, but lately they've been having lots of really small sizes and not a lot else. Hopefully this isn't going to be the norm. Either way though, it's a decent shopping experience. read more
