The store is bigger than it looks and nicely organized. There was a nice variety of things to choose from and they usually have a sale. Almost every single register had a cashier. I want to know how a department store could allow a customer to bring a dog into their store?!?! I was shopping at this Kohl's on 2/7/26 with my husband and our young daughter. We were walking down a main isle near home goods section when we abruptly had to stop. A small dog was taking a crap!!! You could imagine our shock and disgust!!! A woman had this small dog on a leash, it was clearly not a service dog. I understand the need for service dogs and recognize one when I see one, this clearly was not a service dog. One of my preferred Kohls locations in the area. Parking is always ample and easy to find. Except on weekends and during the holiday season it can be quite a madhouse. They have a great selection especially since putting a Sephora in the store. The value and deals here are great. I always feel like my total is such a steal with discounts and their coupons. Staff are helpful when needed. read more

Pet owners should boycott Kohl's. I went in with a small dog in my arms of only 3lbs, and I have been in many times before with my dog. All of the sudden they are telling me they don't allow pets, but have nothing on their door that would indicate such a policy nor could they produce any such policy in writing. I will never shop there again. Every other store I go to, Nordstrom, TJMaxx welcomes my dog and those are the only kinds of stores that I will patronize. I'm from Oregon and usually enjoy shopping at my local Kohl's. Stopped in here to buy a jacket and found about five or six other cute items while I was browsing around. Then I went to check out and it all went downhill from there... First I stood around the registers for about 10 minutes shouting "hello" trying to find someone... No luck. I even walked over to the doors and held my items up hoping it would set off an alarm and somebody might appear... No luck. I finally walk to the other side of the store where there was one register open - and about 15 people in line holding Amazon returns. There was a guy breaking down boxes nearby not looking up and a lady behind the returns counter. Right above her the sign said said "check out" so I walked up with my items to check out. She said "do you have returns? "I told her I just wanted to check out and she told me to get in line with everyone else she had "other things to do." I can't believe somebody who is in customer service has such a piss poor attitude! I dropped my items in front of her, walked out and drove 8 miles to Paramus so I could shop in peace at Macy's where I received exceptional customer service. Poor customer service. stopped in to return some Amazon products. 2 quick returns. It's a service that is provided by Kohl's. Return Amazon products free of shipping charge. The return area was being handled by 2 ladies. They weren't busy and the line was short. After scanning my return label barcode information I asked "When can I expect my money returned to my account". Before I could finish the sentence the lady abruptly said "We don't work for Amazon, we work for Kohl's. We have no idea". This was rude. Not only rude but she was incorrect. Amazon and Kohl's are partners. These employees indeed do work for Amazon and my question has likely been asked several times. I suggest customer service learn the answer to this question and learn exactly that they in fact are working for Amazon. I also suggest a bit more patience and politeness in the future. read more

Went there today for a simple Amazon Return. Wasn't even shopping. And I got to the return area. The customer in front of me was done so I started walking up to the next "X". And the lady working the things was super aggressive and rude. Out her hand up to me and rudely said "EXCUSE ME PLEASE I NEED TO SANITIZE FIRST.... " and I replied with "That's fine. I was just walking up to the next "X" but thanks". She proceeded to call me up and u had 4 items to return and she made me so anxious with her rudeness and sighing. I wanted her to scan my code first then bundle up my items but she insisted on bundling up first.... which obviously caused a problem because 2 of the four items were supposed to be in one return. So she states "WELL ITS THREE RETURNS..... NOT FOUR.." Meanwhile I was aware of this. Just rude for no reason. Made me super uncomfortable. I won't be returning here anymore. I have been a Kohl's credit card holder in good standing since 2006. Recently I received a letter in the mail stating that there was a change in the terms of my account. Despite the fact that the current prime rate is 3.25%, Kohl's had decided that they should charge me 25.99% for purchases; an good example of corporate greed. Penalty fees are up to $40. While I will not incur penalty fees because of my paying record, others who are less fortunate will be further impoverished because of these sh** fees. I went to this Kohl's today and basically went in to grab 1 thing. I waited in line, with only two cashiers and no one in front of me, for about an hour. The lady behind me also left out of frustration waiting in line. I understand when associates make conversation with customers but the point is to provide efficient and quick service. It's just super inconvenient. Honestly I think I spent longer in that line than at doctors office. Also, someone did just cut in front of me too...he didn't speak English so I let it slide. The associates just genuinely piss me off. It's like they've never cashed out people before. I ended up going to ULTA across the street and I got done in 3 mins. A great little department store, well organized and properly stocked. Staff is friendly and helpful, very important these days when there are so much competition out there. Smart as all price tags are electronic which means less errors and easier for staff to change prices wireless affording them to concentrate on us, the customers. Last night I went to Kohl's, I was by the luggage, and I asked a lady who works back there (in a very friendly mellow tone) if a particular item was on sale, she says "how would I know" (in a really nasty tone and abusive tone, while texting), she continued, "why don't you look at the sign see what it says (in that horrible tone, scary lady), everything is half price if you buy one item". I replied "I know I saw that but I just wanted to make sure because sometimes that is not the case", then I said "is there a place I can check the price" (I never go there so I don't know) She says in a rude tone again (man was she angry at something and taking out on me) "yeah over there some place, go look you will find it" (and she gets paid for doing what exactly? sorry to bother her in her misery). She looks and sees a man standing there with his kids, very obviously gets startled that someone else was listening to her, and then tries to cover up her behavior by obviously changing her whole attitude, and puts a sweet smile (split personality) and says hi to the kids smiling at them saying they were cute, still as texting. Yeah right lady, way too obvious. I was in such shock at her behavior a grown woman, she should know better, that is why these companies are loosing business and going to Amazon, and their are no jobs in the stores anymore. Turned out I was right the price was different then what it said after scanning, that is why I wanted to make sure. I would have expected her to answer as such in a pleasant tone at the very least "Yes, many of are half off the second one if you buy two, but it's best to scan the item sometimes as it could differ". I find it fascinating that in today's retail climate, they'd be willing to let customers walk out unhappy. If the price is different on your website, change it for the customer in store - you should be PRAISING the customers that still actually come into a physical store! And if you're going to make a customer buy it online and then select the "pick up in store" option, don't tell the customer they have to come in and pick it up days later, when they're holding it in their hands! Does it not seem a bit unreasonable to penalize a customer when the error was made by Kohl's? Case in point: I ordered a nightgown from your online division of Kohl's selecting a store pickup at your Wayne location. Once home, I discovered that my order was filled incorrectly. I was advised by Kohls.com to go to any one of their stores to return the incorrect item and have them contact the online Customer Service to have the correct item sent to my home. I was told at the Ramsey store that they would not do that for me and I must order the correct item at the kiosk, wait until it was delivered and then return to the store to arrange an exchange. This being an imposition and disruptive to my life, I decided to return the incorrect item in Ramsey. Next, I was advised that my applied $10.00 Birthday Gift was no longer valid. I had never heard of this policy. The discussion continued with a number of Kohl's employees where I again and again stated that this was NOT MY ERROR. At this point, Customer Service stated that this was NOT their problem since the error resulted from an online order from Kohls.com. Finally, after 45 minutes of fighting for my rights, the store manager relented and returned the Birthday Gift in Kohl's Cash. I was then warned that I should remember this in the future......So that means any mistake made by Kohl's becomes my PROBLEM. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Since Kohl's opened in my area, I have been a loyal customer. Sales, returns and adjustments have always been handled in a friendly and professional manner. This store is a real dump. I used to shop here all the time years and years ago but stopped because most trips became hit or miss. Sometimes I would find decent women's clothing and other times, I'd leave empty handed. The quality of the clothes has gone down, though it was never great to begin with. I probably have not set foot in this store for at least 2 years. I stopped in there tonight because I received coupons in the mail and an advertisement for their intimates sale, and I needed some new bras. The intimates section is so cramped, with the racks so close together that it's difficult to shop. The pricier brands have more space between racks, and it seems like the cheaper items have the racks so close together, with one aisle pretty much impossible to pass through. The dressing room in the intimates section is a joke. There was one small dressing room with no bench, and a handicap dressing room that was blocked by a clothing rack. I ended up having to cut through the women's clothing section (equally cramped with racks, chock full of section after section of clearance crap) to get to another dressing room. The dressing room itself was a mess. I eventually just gave up and left the store empty-handed. They obviously give huge discounts because of the quality or lack of quality of the merchandise. Add rather go somewhere else and pay more for better quality and more enjoyable shopping. read more

They looked it up by my credit card and credited back to my card without receipt. they have kohl's cash and then you get to use your kohl's cash in future charges, in addition to coupons. i don't know any other store with a better customer service. read more

Decided to try this location since I was homeward bound on Rt. 17. The selection is by far greater than at the Wayne store but when I went to the dressing room to try on several possible purchases, I thought I was entering a janitor's closet. Only 2 changing rooms, one of which was marked handicapped. Clothing on the floor and what looked like paper trash leaning in a corner. That was before I entered the dressing room. In there was a broken hanger on the floor, lingerie, more hangers and other clothing stuck over a hang rod or on the seat. I considered continuing with my intent to try on my choices, but realized I just couldn't accept my surroundings. I returned everything, clothing, towels, home decor items to their respective places and left the store. Wayne may not have the largest selection, but the dressing rooms number more than 2 and they are kept much neater. read more

I would like to complain about a very demeaning and discriminating incident between your associates and my 9 and 5 year old boys. It happened around 4pm on July 4th. Me and my boys were in the jewelry area, I was shopping for fashion earrings while my boys were walking around but I would say they were less than 5 feet away from me. I saw the associate named JANE give my boys a very demeaning look. I thought twice before I approached her, I wanted to give her a benefit of a doubt but then I felt as a mother, I need to defend my very young boys. I approached her and asked if there was any problem and why did she had to give my boys a look like as if they did a crime. She said my 5 yr old touched a screen, and that my boys DROPPED A LOT OF STUFFS on the floor. I requested her to show the "items" that apparently my boys dropped. She kept on saying that they kept on running around and that I was not there. I said NO THEY WERE NOT AND THEY DEFINITELY DID NOT MAKE A MESS. Little did she know that I was behind a shelf where those fashild jewelries are hanged!!! I even asked her why she was after my boys while there was another lady who indeed dropped items while she was shopping.IS THIS A CASE OF DISCRIMINATION JUST BECAUSE WE ARE FROM A DIFFERENT RACE??? I asked her to call the manager, and another associate came named MARY who acted like she knew everything and said that it was the store policy that noone touches the screen. I asked them if something happened to the screen when my five yr old touched it? And they insisted that it is the store policy! I understand it is a store policy BUT NOTHING HAPPENED TO THE SCREEN for goodness sake! So I asked is this a case of discrimination??? And Mary blubbered her mouth and walked away from us. My 9 year old said sorry and Jane said " SEE, your son knows he did it thats why he said sorry!" This made me more FURIOUS and I told her that I am raising my sons very well and they are well trained to apologize if someone is upset! Then the Asst Manager Corey came. I demanded him to show us the apparent mess that my boys did. He said they dont have access to the camera. I WORK AT A RETAIL AND WE CAN DEFINITELY CHECK OUR CAMERAS ASAP WHEN NEEDED!!! I said to make things easier, why can't JANE walk us to the areas where my kids made a mess? Again Corey refused and said he will have to talk to Jane afterwards. I said it was just very easy, a no brainer thing to do, to show us WHAT SHE WAS ACCUSING MY KIDS OF!!! Again Corey refused. Then Jane said she was just giving my kids the "GRANDMA LOOK"! Is this how Kohl's train their older associates??????!!!! To give Grandma looks to the kids???? I told her their Grandma never gave that kind of look to my kids so I dont even know what she meant by GRANDMA LOOK!!! I repeatedly asked them to show the mess that my kids did and up to the last minute they were not able to show us anything. My 9 year old started crying. IS THIS HOW YOU DEAL WITH KIDS??? If my son goes thru post traumtic stress, I will definitely have to take more actions!!! I believe this should be a family friendly store!!!! Today, we decided to come to your store with our family and spend our hard earned money but unfortunately for us, we have to deal with this very bad customer service!!! The store was not even busy!!! No lines, almost empty!!! The assistant manager seemed lost, I dont think he even knew how to handle this! The only thing I remember is that he apologized and offered a discount. I did not need the discount!!! I need Jane to apologize to my kids for LYING AND ACCUSING THEM AS IF THEY WERE CRIMINALS INSIDE THE STORE!!! And by the way she kept on telling us that the boys knew what they did!!! IS SHE TRYING TO BRAINWASH AND INSTILL IN MY KIDS' MINDS THAT THEY DID SOEMTHING WRONG???? An issue I have with Kohl's in general is that they push customers to join up - i.e. get the credit card and sign-up for mailed savings certificates, get the Kohl's tattoo, etc. - and since my wife used to "be on the inside" we know that the people that link their life to Kohl's get financially rewarded. I personally don't want to link my life to Kohl's and now when I go there I know that I am getting ripped off, so I usually shop elsewhere. read more

i'm not a fan of the big crowds like in the paramus location so decided to give this one a try.. it is kind of a far drive for me, but def worth it.. we came here on a friday night around 830 and there wasn't that many people at all.. i was surprised that there were two entries since the one in paramus only has one.. which means two different checkout sections.. i like that store is one floor and every time i thought we were finished going through the store i turn the corner and there was a section we didn't even go to yet.. it was already 10 when we noticed that we didn't hear anything over the loud speaker kicking us out yet.. i asked the sales associate what time they were closing and to our surprise they said 11.. while there were ample sales associates on the floor they didn't ask us if we needed any help.. that's perfectly fine for me cause i hate to be bothered while shopping.. definitely shopping here in the future.. read more
