Kohl's - Big Sur! - Department Stores Near Me - SANTA FE, New Mexico

I feel like they have deceptive advertising on there. There was a sign (I posted) that said "was $9.99 now $4.99" but I get up to the counter and it rings up as $29.99. The person they called couldn't even find the shorts so I show her the sign where, right there are all the shorts. "No that's for t-shirts" in TINY print you can barely read she says. The shorts are in the other side of the sign (where there is no rack by the way, except one going perpendicular). I tell the lady maybe they should put the shirts on that rack (there was literally one shirt I saw at the other end of rack and far from the sign, which she moved next to the sign once I said there aren't even any shirts on this rack). And here's an idea, put the correct price with the shorts, so it's not false advertising. The store was empty except for workers organizing racks so you'd think they'd catch that. read more

Dropped off a return package from Amazon at Kohls in Santa Fe in June, it was scanned, and I received my refund later that day. 3 months later I receive an email from Amazon telling me I will be charged again if I do not return my items. Another bad review for Kohl's in Santa Fe, NM. I cancelled my card about five years ago after being a Kohl's customer for about 30 years in various parts of the country. The Santa Fe store simply does not carry enough stock. Time after time I would go into the local store with my discount coupons for specific items only to find they were out or stock. Additionally, the discount could not be applied to an increasing number of products. You only learned which products where disqualified when you reached the cash register to pay a lot more than you anticipated. A week ago, Kohl's sent me a 30% discount coupon as an incentive to reopen my account. I used that to buy about $100 worth of merchandise. Among that was a wrist watch. I found one that was perfect. When I got it home, it didn't work. I went back to the store thinking I could exchange it for and identical one that did work. They did not have another one exactly like it. They tried to sell my others that I had already rejected on a nearly empty shelf. I suggested that perhaps the watch had been on the shelf long enough for the battery to go dead. Kohl's usually installs new batteries for watches purchased at their stores. I've done that several times before. I was told that they are not allowed to do that "because of Covid!" Really? My only choice after a 20-mile round trip back to the store was to return the watch for a refund. When I got home, I put the rest of my ~$100 Kohl's purchase in my car. I plan to return it all for a refund next time I am near Kohl's. I have already ordered similar items from Amazon. They were cheaper than Kohl's with the discounts and they will be delivered to my front door day after tomorrow. If something doesn't work, I will return it to Amazon and they will send me one that does. Free shipping in all directions. I prefer shopping locally but customer loyalty goes both ways. read more

I always like going to this kohls here in SF New Mexico, always quiet, you see customers, not a whole bunch. Always clean and love quality of clothes, especially the purse selection, and great bargains. Last time I was there I was returning a purse, the zipper was stuck and something else that I assumed it had been returned, like used. I took it back the very next day and walked in and was directed to the far right side of the store is where you speak with an associate about any returns, and I showed her and said i wanted an even exchange. She just cashed me out and gave back the sale price back in refund. I said No ...hold on I wanted to exchange for same kind. I was a bit annoyed because the purses were no longer on sale. I immediately just walked away and searched for a store manager to complain and have them deal with this rude associate. I found a manager and I explained what had happened. He walled me to where the purses were on sale the day before and how he found so quickly was buy looking at my refund receipt. He was very helpful, pleasant and fixed the problem right away. He signed even exchange on receipt with his signature, and handed me the exact same product and was brand new. The customer service associate should of done that in the beginning. I dislike being treated rushed. Like it was gonna hurt her to simply do an even exchange. Ill still continue to shop at kohls. Like it better than TJ max. read more

Easy to get into, not many sales clerks around or anyone greeting anyone. A bit in disarray but I blame that on a busy Christmas. Didn't end up finding what we were looking for, been there twice in two days and both days gave up. But I am glad it's there, I will give it another chance. read more

I will change this review when I am dealt with for such a lack of customer service. Very disappointed by my trip their yesterday. I guess when you expect good customer service you expect it everytime and yesterday was a failure. Store was not closed properly Sunday evening and Monday's staff and customers paid for it. Assistant manager Scott who seemed to have forgotten to drink his coffee was focused on anything but customer service or team building. Shopped here on Thanksgiving evening - store manager and personnel were extremely helpful during a pretty crazy sale. Was able to get great deals on advertised items and all coupons were honored and saved me lots of money. There were loads of shoppers roaming the store but the personnel kept there cool and were very polite and helpful. Will definitely shop here again. Kohl's cash rocks too. read more

As far as department stores go in Santa Fe, this is a great store. All of their staff is friendly -- not always a given here! They have a decent selection of clothing, too. Their housewares department isn't as well-stocked as I'd like, but they have the essentials. Overall, this store provides a good shopping experience. read more
