Store prices are only good when there is a sale or clearance event. Stores clean, workers are efficient and friendly. I wish management and store owners would protect and take better care of their employees. This store is already in a rough location. The least the managers can do is be more respectful of their workers. As I'm shopping I notice all the employees doing a great job they are respectful, quick, always cleaning but as much as they are doing their job well it's frankly quite annoying seeing the managers nag their workers to force the store credit cards upon us the consumer. They don't want to do it and we don't want it. Second I always see people go in there to steal and especially cause a ruckus right before closing as a set up to get the employees to give them whatever discounts or things they want. It's not fair to the employees to have to work outside of their scheduled shift time when kohls refuses to kick their customers out when they are shopping too late. Kohls management enables this awful behavior and allows these rude customers to take advantage of their employees and it's so noticeable. If it was a genuine customer that's one thing but 99% of the time I bet you it's not. I can only imagine how awful the work environment is at this location if it's this noticable to a customer who goes to the store every once in a while. Management needs to do better and take better security and care of their workers before it's too late. Looks like this store needs a good change because it's rated 1.9 stars. I'd rather take my business elsewhere that better supports the employees and doesn't take advantage of them. And honestly I checked Google yesterday and they were open during the snow storm making their employees drive in those dangerous snow conditions just to make a buck. I did an online order for an in store pick up for 2 items for Christmas gifts. I arrived at the store to pick them up. The girl working said "oh this box feels light, let me check and make sure the item is in it". She looked and said it was. I never thought to open the box since she did. I wrapped it and brought it to my family christmas party. My friend opened the gift on christmas in front of the entire party and the box was EMPTY just had the styrofoam holder, no item in it. I have never been so embarrassed or mortified. I apologized profusely and told her I'd go to the store and take care of it for her. I went back to kohls today and told them I got the box but it was empty. The employee said "Seriously? Ok your Mastercard is going to be refunded". I explained I wasnt looking for a refund, I wanted the actual item as it is a gift. He just looked at me. I asked if they have any others? He scanned it and said no. I asked if they could do a store credit instead if they have any other similar items? He said they can do a credit and I can go and check to see if there are any similar items. Well thanks!!!! Super unhelpful. And not a single apology in the entire interaction for making me waste 2 trips and mortifying me and now I do not have a gift for this person still!!!!!!!!!!!! I am a mother of two and I have noticed over the last few years Kohl's is becoming more and more crowded. There is no room for a shopping cart nevermind a stroller when working your way through the merchandise. This is especially ironic when it comes to the children's section. The baby clothes are so tightly jammed together that it's hard to look through them and impossible to bring your children. What is most alarming is this already over crowded location adds a ton of additional inventory for Christmas. They taken to filling every main aisle with more merchandise making it impossible for two people to pass down the same side of an aisle simultaneously. I honestly wonder how they pass fire safety codes at all. Again, as a Mom with a stroller I had to take this off my list of options altogether, which is unfortunate. read more

Shopping at this store is beyond frustrating. Under staffed 3 days before Christmas. Waited for almost 15 minutes for help at jewelry counter. I carefully paid attention to the 2 people in front of me so I would know it was my turn. There were 2 employees. One was adjusting a watch and visiting with customer like she had all day. The other took care of the other 2 customers. I smiled and started to talk to her and she ignored me and went to another customer instead. I saw at least 4 people give up and leave, as did I. The store was in complete disarray, with clothes all over the floor and nothing in its place. I purchased only a few items on my list and waited in line to pay. The cashier asked if I found everything. I told him no, and that i had a terrible shopping experience. He did not care and did nothing, aside from suggesting i shop online. Hours to get their I encountered Dennis a 28year old manager who seemed like he was waiting for me guess one of hassle free stores must have informed him not to accept a return that was three days old he first said he would exchange never used Vera Wang towels system would not let him. He is a liar my sick wife took them back their Nazi German policy reeks as they sell the blue Cera Wang label for full. This specific location is terrible! The customer service has been declining over the years, and has recently been even worse. Manager Dennis, talks to you as if you're a complete idiot. 0 stars !!!! One start doesnt even cover it. Awful location !!!!! I saw a commercial for nike sweatshirts on sale. I went in and I looked for the section. No where to be found. I found this employee. Glasses, blonde hair and a disgusting matted bun on top of her head. Talked to me like I was stupid and tried to convince me I was wrong and I didnt see any commercial. Got the sale booklet for the day and handed it to me. "Maybe if you look, you'll find it." I called corporate to make a complaint. The first person I talked to told me that he had a similar issue and gave that customer a corporate number. I asked for it and he tells me he doesnt remember who gave him the number nor does he have it. You're customer service yet you dont have the actual corporate number? Had no idea what he was doing. Hung up and googled another number. Called. That guy listened to me go on and on for 15 minutes and at the end he says.. "can I help you with anything else?" Good place to buy dress clothes without being broke afterwards. This location is usually clean except for around holidays, when they need to hire more people to help clean up. Prices can be somewhat comparable to Macy's except without the great brand names, but the sales are really good here and allow me a chance to avoid Macy's to look here first. read more

I didn't even want to give a star!! Went to Kohls in Taunton with my friend who got a gift! From a relative that spends $1000's which has a $10,000 store credit card (which I'm sure will change after this!) And because it was seasonal and they didn't carry them right now we couldn't get a store credit for a printer her daughter needed for school. It was broken and the cartridges were cracked, and the ink leaked every where! The manager at store # 581 Ryan said he needed card #'s receipts and would not credit this item, then Danielle customer service employee thought it was funny because my friend was upset her daughter's school project is important for an eleven year not to fail this class!!! The item which has ink that leaked ruined furniture! The manager Ryan gave 2 wrong #'s for us to talk to someone to help her with this issue! Wow. Not shocked to see 1 & a 1/2 star's for this store!? All this after they told her she would only get the clearance which they had none anyway which totally does not make sense!! Because how would you know it's on clearance if they are seasonal? It had a kohls tag on it, and this family won't be kohls we will be now going to Macy's who has better reviews!! So now the relative will be calling with the info they need and will shopping somewhere else!!!! @Macy's. To bad that $10,000 Kohls card will get cancelled and just go to Macy's, Target, ect . I was really disappointed in their customer service. I called on a Monday morning to see if there was anything to be done about returning makeup that did not have the receipt. I didn't know about there no hassle return policy and that they can give you a store credit. The lady I spoke to on the phone seemed annoyed that I even called to ask and told me there was nothing I could do, basically I was screwed with no receipt. I talked to a friend who said that they ALWAYS accept returns so I decided to just go in and give it a try. I actually returned my items with the lady I spoke to on the phone! She played dumb on the phone and acted like I couldn't return the makeup but in the store she gave me my store credit. I don't know if the workers don't like doing these types of returns because you never know who is being truthful and actually lost the receipt or if somebody stole the item trying to make money. Either way I think I will be going to other Kohls and avoiding this one. read more
