We have a Kohl's in our town we shop at more than other department stores. My wife needed to return something to Amazon and so we dropped into this on a trip to see our daughter and her family. I think this location seems to be about the same as the one near us but the quality of the merchandise was much higher. I wasn't sure if that ticked me off or I was just impressed. For one thing, this location still has a full men's section, with lots of dress clothes and not just jeans, shorts and casual wear like ours. I mean a really large men's suits and dress clothes area! The other departments seem a bit more the way macy's used to be instead of more like a Burlington Coat factory like ours. I needed to use the restroom which was very clean and well maintained too. Kohl's usually does this everywhere so I should praise them for that. Many other stores leave the restrooms smell,y trashy and often have broken stalls and urinals. I thought they were a little light on staffing out in the departments but a whole team of workers at checkout and guarding the front door (whoops I mean greeting people). A few times we had questions but could not find anyone to ask. That's the only reason they did not get five stars from me today. read more

I will never shop at Kohl's at any location again after what I experienced at this Tylersville road location. Michelle, the manager, is out of control. Please do something about her ASAP. I bought two pillows with a buy one, get one half off sale. The pillows were $19.99 each. So I should have paid $30 for both, but they rang up as $19.99 each. When I pointed this out, she spoke to me in a super loud voice that she would have to increase the first pillow to $39.99 and sell me the second for $19.99. This is just insane and she continued to yell and scream at me in front of several customers. She kept saying "why do you not understand this?" It was so absolutely ridiculous.... The fact that she wanted to increase the price first and then her erratic child-like fit that she threw in front of me and others. District management: you have a large problem on your hands. read more

Store looked clean and organized. Customer service was quick and easy. Would come back here again to shop. Lots of items to choose from. They often have coupons and sales. Prices can be higher if you don't include discounts. read more

Let's talk about Kohl's coupons. You know the ones 15%, 20%,30%, mystery coupons ect. They come in my emails and text to lure me in. Of course once you get there and checkout none of the items are eligible for the coupons. Today before the lady even scanned my items she told me none of the coupons on my phone would work in the many items I had laid down . Or reminds of the old movie the Jerk when Steve Martin was working for the carnival. The winners prize was limited to a small shelf for of crap. Basically anything currently on sale or not a kohls brand aren't covered in most of their coupons. Of course everything supposedly is already on sale negating most coupons. Then it has to be a kohls brand...... so yep don't get excited with you get a 30 percent off coupon and rush to Kohls. read more

I'm not really a huge fan of Kohls overall, but this particular location is probably the largest and best selection in greater Cincy. Its not always the most organized or friendliest staff, but for sure has the most stuff short of ordering offline (which I hate doing). Do not buy anything that is not on sale for sure, as they can be pricey, always double check you are getting a deal. Make sure you are signed up for Yes2You rewards as you might as well earn points if you are going to shop. read more

I like the way Kohl's layouts their stores. Kudos for service desk being by the front now. Already done several Amazon returns there. Standalone store with 2 entrances. Prices are high but they always have sales and percent off coupons. Also love Kohls cash. Net prices are good. They will match their website. Prices are often different. I had one online item to pick-up. The line was so long that I had to wait for about 20 minutes just to get to the counter. Kohl's need to implement a more efficient policy for online order pick-ups. Other department stores have curbside pickup. At Kohls you have to go into the store each time to retrieve your order. I will not be choosing in store pickup at Kohls in the near future unless a change is made. read more

I stopped by here as a last minute shopping spot for the day. I walked in and the store was very organized, not overly crowded, and clean. The clearance items were clearly marked with a sign so you could find them easily. I was able to find the items I was looking for very easily and navigate the store. I purchased a few items, including a few pairs of pants and a purse. The checkout time was very quick compared to the other Kohl's stores I shop at more frequently. I didn't interact with any staff throughout the store. The cashier who checked me out was nice. I would recommend this location. read more

Kohl's is not famous for its amazing customer service; but this one on Tylersville road takes the trophy to WORST customer service ever. Two employees saw me standing in between a check out and customer service. Both kept working on their whatever paperwork they were doing and did not even acknowledge me. I finally asked for help and one of them (check out) pretended she didn't hear me. The one at customer service finally "noticed" me. I asked if she could check if they had in stock a specific hair dryer. She yelled at another younger employee if she knew anything about it. She didn't even bother checking. They told me where to go to see "if" I could find it. Gave me wrong directions. Of course there was no employee at sight to ask for help. I used the phone to ask for assistance and five minutes later an elderly lady shows up and I knew she had no idea what I was looking for. "But we have curling irons", she said. I politely replied that was not what I was looking for and left. If you want an example of bad customer service, this is your place! UPDATE: Again, horrible customer service. One cashier for everyone on a Kohl's cash redeem day. Four employees in customer service not even worried about this situation. They left the one and only cashier by herself. After 20 minutes in line I left my shopping cart full of articles and left empty handed. read more

I like Kohl's because there is always a sale going on. I don't like Kohl's because there is a lot of cheaply made clothing. I did get an awesome deal on Cuddle Duds today which is great. They are not the most organized location. The shoe section is sloppy as well as the sale and clearance racks. The only things they keep organized are the immediate areas by the doors - hoping to fool you. Staff is fine - not overly friendly or helpful. I feel like it's a bit like TJ Maxx - come in expecting to hunt for things - not just go straight to a section and pick something up. If you're patient you might find a gem. read more

I visited the store right after the start of 2015. Because of all of the on-line shopping I did in December, I received a number of Kohl's Rewards, dollar off coupons. The clerk would only allow me to use a fraction of my Kohl's rewards. After calling Customer Service, I found out I could have used all of my Yes Rewards dollar off coupons at once. This store has a large selection but the clerks are not so nice. Go to another Kohl's store rather than this one. read more

Today I had some returns. I went to the customer service area and there was a line of 3 or 4 people. An older woman stepped to the counter. She had a return. That was done quickly. then she wanted to pay her bill. With a check. That took some time since the customer had difficulty writing the check. Then she wanted to purchase a card she had picked up. Through the process the line continues to grow. There was only one person - Linda - handling the counter. While she was helping this customer she fielded several phone calls and requests from employees as they were leaving the store. The entire time Linda was gracious and patient with this customer. When I stepped up to the counter (finally) for my transaction I commented to Linda about how gracious she had been. "Everyone is important" she said. Now THAT is customer service! I also had a very nice cashier at check out. Ruby was very cheerful on a busy day. I appreciate good service. It makes me want to go back. read more
