I made an appointment for a snug piercing and I made it a point to say that if I don't have the anatomy for a snug piercing, I'd just get a helix instead. At my appointment, the piercer checked my ear and said it looked good and we went through with the piercing. Everyone in the shop was super friendly and everything looked sterile. But I ended up with an anti-tragus piercing, not the snug piercing I asked for. If my anatomy isn't right for a true snug piercing, I would've preferred a helix piercing instead. I've been in twice for piercing now. Michelle did an amazing job with my ear lobes and industrial. They made sure I was fully informed on expected pain and healing times before beginning. They also made sure I was 100% satisfied with the location, offering to redo it as many times as needed to make sure I liked it. I didn't need to, as it was perfect, but it was nice to know they wouldn't rush it. When it was time to pierce, they did a great job of keeping me informed along the way, while also keeping me distracted so it passed quickly. Overall, it was a great experience and I will be back for any future needs. It does seem to get pretty busy, so I'd definitely recommend snagging an appointment to make your visit quick. I had heard great reviews about this place and thought it was a good location. I took my daughter here for her first ear piercing but was dissatisfied because Jade (our piercing tech) did a poor job. My daughter's ear piercing was not bilaterally placed. Jade marked it with a marker and it looked fine initially but she got shaky with the second ear and missed the marked location. I'm nervous to bring her back for another piercing to correct it because my daughter was nervous the first time. Overall the experience was okay and had good sterile technique. Her attitude was just buy the jewlery asap and get the f*** outta here. They did not let me take my jewelries and post out to measure and had a piercer came and looked at it (eyeballed) and of course gave the wrong size, which is bigger than what it's supposed to be. -------- Alright, so the owner replied to this one, saying it isn't rachel with dark long hair, then the person who checked me out shouldn't have logged in under someone else's account. Cat did my piercing and she was very professional, explaining everything and taking the time to make sure that I was happy with the finished product. I got detailed instructions on aftercare along with her card in case I come across any issues. The front desk staff was delightful and friendly. My doctor recommended that I get a Daith piercing for my migraines. And my doc said to go to Koi to get it done. They are professional and they have surgical grade titanium (and discrete) piercings. I have been able to get an MRI and have surgery without having them taken out; plus because they are so discrete I rarely have people notice at my conservative professional job. Only complaint is that they are a walk in only place and as soon as they are open they are super packed. But they will take your name and number and when they are ready for you they will give you a call. So use that time to grab some grub from a nearby restaurant. read more

I called to get a price on how much it would cost to pierce one ear. I found out they would charge $40 plus the cost of their jewelry. I told the woman I was speaking with I had my own jewelry which consisted of an emerald stud earring set in 18 karat gold. Just the one earring is worth $2,222. They told me it might not be suitable for piercing unless I could certify the nickel count. I had never heard of anything more ridiculous. I told him I had just gotten the earring appraised and that it was an Colombian emerald set an 18 karat gold. Then she started giving me the nickel count bs again and how it might not be suitable for piercing. So then I just asked her if I was going to have to buy one of their pieces of jewelry in order to get my ear pierced. I was told yes. These people are total rip offs. Stay away. read more

I got my nipples pierced here 4 years ago, and recently started having issues with them. I called to schedule an appointment to talk to one of the piercers and the person told me to text them and send pictures rather than come in. They told me they would get back to me that day. I sent picture and a detailed message and never heard anything back. Ended up having to go to another piercing shop who was incredibly helpful! I would highly recommend going to Iris. Thanks to the reviews I got there half an hour early on a Saturday so I could be seen quickly (I was like 7th in line at that point). They opened on time and within a few minutes I was escorted to the back and got my daith pierced (hoping it would help with migraines). The piercing was painless (just quick pressure) and the staff were all friendly and helpful. It's been a few weeks now and the piercing appears to be healing fine! I came here in good hopes as they were highly recommended by everyone I know. I got my septum piercing done at the beginning of the year by Michelle, it was crooked and had to get it "corrected" which I left with it still being crooked but told "the swelling will go down" I gave it a few weeks and it honestly looked worse than before. I tried to live with it for a bit because I don't have much time to get it corrected again so finally I took it out. I liked the vibe and my piercer but very disappointed in the results. Another note is my piercer never gave aftercare instructions, follow up messages to make sure things are healing well, told me how to remove the jewelry, etc. The other piercers I've seen in the past have always given aftercare instructions so this threw me off, thankfully it wasn't my first piercing so I knew what to do. To say the least I'm pretty disappointed considering their reputation. I wanted to get something nice for me for once and truthfully I wish I went somewhere else read more

I have had multiple great experiences at Koi, although I have only been there to purchase new jewelry and to get pieces changed out by the piercers. I have been to 2 other piercing shops in town, and Koi stands out as the best option by far. Firstly, every time I visit, the shop is extremely busy. I'm not sure if they make appointments in advance, but just be aware that you might need to wait an hour even if you are just wanting jewelry changed out. But service is friendly and the waiting system is well organized, so this has never really bothered me. Both piercers I met were very friendly and professional. I have been working on an ear project redesign and wasn't exactly sure what I was wanting, and they were very patient and presented me with a number of options. I appreciated that they really wanted me to be happy with the end result, even offering to change something if I didn't like it. This was the complete opposite of the high-pressure sales situation I was in at another piercing studio, so I was greatly appreciative.
