From the start of the call I got all my information and came to this location within two hours of my call. Got a good bed as soon as I got in & signed up for a package and got all the information I needed & SO glad I came in. Already out here for my second round. I 10/10 recommend this spot for anyone who wants some color. The quality of the bed I had which was (3) for the first time was AMAZING. My friends saw some color already off the first visit & so stoked I can get what I want even with a busy schedule and the weather being overcast. So glad I went! Connie up front was so helpful. So informative with her tour of the facility with the different beds. They even have a leg tanner! When I asked about specials, they let me know about their unlimited one-month package for $99, which includes all access to Level 1-4 tanning beds, red light therapy, leg tanner and spray tanning. It was a great deal and exactly what I needed! I brought my own lotion, but they had a big selection of lotions available for purchase, along with some really cute clothes, hats, and earrings. The shop was super clean, and the beds were high-quality and well-maintained. Before you go to Sun in the Run, do yourself a favor, turn around and go here instead! It's a much nicer, larger, cleaner tanning salon. They also always have the AC on, which is crucial when you're tanning. They have an excellent selection of beds, and they change the bulbs regularly. I had the pleasure of being helped out today by Eva, she was a doll, extremely helpful and not pushy. Knows her stuff! She's is the reason why I came here and not somewhere else today. What used to be 5 stars has gone to really one. This review has nothing to do with the staff. The staff has always been great and the place very clean. What changed here is there are no more towels or goggles. When I pay a membership plus upgrades and 100.00 for a lotion could you at least pass me a Kleenex? There are other places that are comparable in price that offer little extras like a towel. I hope the owner realizes that their decision cost them a monthly membership. read more

This place has a great spray tan package and consistently does a great job. I've never had to wait or had a bad experience here! Would recommend their spray tans since that's the only thing I've ever done here. I have also picked up some cute accessories from here too. The tans last and don't leave any weird marks as long as you follow the directions and listen to the staff tips. If you have never done one before, let them know. I have been going to this tanning salon in Oceanside for quite a while now and I wanted to let people know the many positive aspects of this business. Number one, it is the CLEANEST tanning salon I have ever been to and there have been several. The beds always look freshly cleaned and sanitized and I never get the feeling that they weren't cleaned before I enter the booth! Number two, the staff are the most professional but sweetest people I've met in any tanning salon. It's not just about the tan itself. These ladies truly care about their clients and will ALWAYS take time to greet you and find out how you're doing and if there's anything they can do for you. I love going to the salon and chatting with these ladies after I am done tanning. As far as the prices for the tanning packages go, I find them to be fair and pretty much the same as other salons in the general area. And they do run some great specials on tanning packages. They also have a great assortment of tanning lotions at various prices. For me, the location is perfect and I am able to combine my tanning with my grocery shopping and pharmacy runs right there at Ralph's. I think this place is really good. I have tried other tanning places before, and the beds dont make my arms or face tan (the rest of my body tans REALLY quick....isn't that odd?), but here at Kokomo's my arms and face are 20% tanner since I started going. I constantly get asked if I'm a beach bum because I look like I took a 2 week vacation in Hawaii and I share with them that I go to the tanning beds at Kokomo salon. The staff is extra nice. These are quality tanning beds! (be careful, tanning becomes an addiction...I try to tell myself not to tan that day...but ahhhh the beds are calling me!!!! Great salon, Great Service! When I had moved here nearly a year ago, one of my first priorities was to find a good tanning place for my wife and I that was reasonably priced and close to my house. Kokomo's has a great location next to Lowe's on Old Grove and 76. Their prices are very good, especially for your entry level beds, and the employees there are always very professional and courteous. Their friendly staff always greets me when I come in, and always say "thank you" when I'm leaving. I had initially tried going to iTAN located on Oceanside blvd, but there is never any parking there, traffic nearby is horrible in the morning and afternoon, and I cannot stand having to wait in line to tan. In contrast, there is plenty of parking near Kokomo's, and even in the busiest times of the year, I have never had to wait for a tanning bed there. Kokomo's offers 5 different levels of tanning, Mystic, and even a leg tanner which I had never seen before. The shop itself is very clean and inviting and their tanning beds and bulbs are always in top shape, So after nearly a year, I am still a loyal Kokomo's customer, and I can honestly say that I am very satisfied going there. Okay so this is probably going to be a weird review. I went to itan for about a year off and on and then found this place where I also went off and on for about a year. It is much cleaner, cooler, and best customer service. In order to try to avoid skin damage I would use their best bed. However, still at the age of 23, I developed a skin cancer. No, it wasn't melanoma, but three rounds of mohs surgery and ten stitches on my face later it is safe to say I learned my lesson. Moral of the story. All aspects of the business itself are great. However, I strongly urge all to learn from my experience and stick to their airbrush tanning services. read more
