I use Itan because there really isn't any other competition in the area. While they get the job done I find them overpriced and they offer little instruction and accessories to make tanning there easier. There are no mats on the floor in the spray tan booth and there are no towel's available, only washcloths. The gal gave me hardly any direction on how to use the tanning booth so I had to figure it out myself. Also, they don't sell packages of sessions, only single ones making them more expensive or forcing you to buy a membership to get a better rate. If there is another option go there, if not this place will get you the tan you want. read more

After the one week trial-run my report follows: The equipment does not function properly. Overall, highly disappointed! The beds are high-tech, but too many options/ the control buttons are CRAP. I tried a few beds, the option where water shoots out, is HORRENDOUS. Not a midst, just a loose drip on my one hip, the water kept pouring, and it would not stop after I pressed the control to stop it!!! In another room it was blasting Eminem's STAN song, not appropriate for a store experience. How CAN Anyone relax?!!! Volume control Failed to work. DO NOT GET a membership here. Go SOMEWHERE ELSE, not too mention pretty costly if u join. Then again, welcome to SO-CaL It would be more wise for a walk-in base line $15 drop-in. That way people do not have to commit to a plan. I was a loyal customer at Itan for several years- religiously tanning several times a week and spending hundreds a month here. In June 2021 I was diagnosed with stage 2b melanoma, and understandably had to stop tanning. My card on file was cancelled and Itan called me to try and update it. Tanning was a sore subject while I dealt with skin cancer treatment, so I ignored the calls from Itan trying to renew my membership. Little did I know, they were charging me anyway. My card on file was canceled, but when I went in June 2022 for a spray tan, they said I had a balance of $400 because I was still being billed after I got cancer and my old card was declined. I wish I could go here to spray tan but after all my medical bills I don't have $400 to pay for an Itan membership I wasn't using and didn't know was still active. read more

I've been using ITAN for over 17+ years. This location has been so problematic. I am so tired of being lied to about services not being available for the sake of closing early. Each time I've tried to use the fit wrap sauna, "someone is using it, it's too late for another person". Stools out of rooms 1.5hours before close to clean. Where do I put my purse & clothing? I really like this location of iTan! It's on the smaller side, so the selection is more basic, but all your needs will be met. Every piece of equipment is always available and the results are uncompromised. The place is well staffed with friendly knowledgeable ladies who care about clients. Daisha and Veronica are so sweet, and always on top of things. They do a great job turning the rooms over between clients, so everything is super quick, clean and safe. The check in process is a breeze and the location very well maintained and easy to access, with plenty of parking around. If I lived closer, this one would be my go-to itan, without a doubt. Great place to go tanning, with great customer service. Victoria is extremely helpful, and always smiling and welcoming! Facility is clean and the beds work fantastic. A single session tan is 20-30 dollars, and a monthly membership charge is roughly 80-90 dollars. If you go at least once a week, then get the monthly membership. They also have a variety of other "spa" amenities besides tanning such as red light therapy, beauty light therapy, hydration/detox wraps, spray tanning, etc. They do offer an active duty discount. I felt like this review needed to happen after I had been here more than just once as my first time in was the first day of a Customer Appreciation Weekend: busy, busy, busy, everybody wanting those sweet deals! Heck, I was certainly one of them! I wanted to come in to simply try out one of their spa services as well as one of their sun services and there was no better nor affordable weekend to do so than this (I think) annual event! I got a deal where I would get 3 body wraps and a separate deal where I would get one sesh in a tanning bed. Now, I am WHITE (I'm actually Polynesian, but the genetic gods didn't bless me the skin tone to match my ethnicity) I do not tan easily, in fact, my "best" tans have always been a result of my having to get severely sunburned in order for that painful endeavor to fade into a somewhat-tan. (Oh the things we think are cool when we're 16...) As an adult, never again wanting to put myself through that extreme-cause for cancer, I've been wanting to find an alternative that looked natural and was safe. The girls at the front-desk, while they may have had their hands tied with so many people coming in for the weekend specials, took the time to explain what bed would be best for me given my almost absent pigment. I was also so pleasantly surprised that these ladies were so good to me, in that I didn't feel pressured into anything that my skin couldn't handle or, more importantly, I wasn't being put down by these beautifully tanned employees for me having such snow white skin in comparison to theirs! My first tan lasted a whole 7 minutes, as the smart bed ITSELF instructed me that I wasn't to have anymore than that! Building that base-tan :) The FIT Body Wrap: AWESOME. Sweat.It.Out! Purge the bad! I've now done two of the three that I bought and LOVE the way I feel after! You get 50 minutes inside of what looks like a big red sleeping bag (with armholes!) and it TOTALLY helps to have purchased product to smother yourself in before it's time to get sweating! I bought the Celiminate cream by SlimLine and that stuff is great in and outside of the body wrap. You have the option to turn the temperature down (but not higher than 120 degrees) but I feel for the best results, keep that bad-boy hot and push through! The salon is relatively small, but I feel they make the best of the space they have and they offer A LOT of different services! In my few visits, I've observed the location being quite clean and sanitary. Haven't felt uncomfortable yet and I hope I never do! While I don't intend on investing in a membership (although they sound like they come with so many nifty perks) I know where I can go when i need some "sun". I'd like to test the waters of the mystic tan...someday. read more

This is my favorite location! The staff is extremely friendly, fun and very knowledgeable! Everytime I go in to that location I always get amazing customer service. If I have any questions there is always someone there to answer! I've recommended a few of my friends to iTAN because of my experience here. Not only is the staff amazing but the services and products are excellent! I have the sun unlimited membership and I am obsessed with the iTAN smart beds. They recommended me a great tanning bundle. I love my HD facial, ComplexION, and luminous aftercare. My skin has never felt better. I am so glad I found this salon. Poor customer service! There have been a couple of times I've been treated poorly at this location but a manager never called me back so after tonight I thought I'd write a review. I booked a 6:30 pm for ITAN Fit body wrap and I decided to call around 3:45 this afternoon to see if I could come in early. The girl on the phone was friendly and said no that someone else was scheduled at 4:00 and would I like to keep my 6:30? I said yes. I show up at 6:20 for my appointment and the girl who checked me in was friendly enough but then tells me "oh by the way the last appointment on the weekend is 5:30pm just so you know to keep that in mind"! ok I'm the customer it's not my job to know what time the last appointment is and if they wanted me to come earlier why not say that to me on the phone instead of confirming me for 6:30 and then belittling me for not knowing the last appointment is 5:30! read more

ABSOLUTELY OUT OF THIS WORLD FANTASTIC!! BEST I'VE EVER BEEN TO!! I am an Ex-Chippendales dancer with about thirty-five years of tanning under my belt...and I've been a member of at minimum, like, fifteen salons. ITan is far and away the best of all of them for a number of reasons: 1) the TANNING: best beds and oft-changed bulbs around by far..and no "burn look" 2) the PRICES: best and most competitive prices around...just so surprisingly low! 3) the STAFF: the staff is so nice, helpful, courteous...just awesome. Frankly, if it were store policy that the staff had to punch me in the face and kick me in the butt hard before I could tan each time...I would STILL go to ITan! They are THAT GOOD. I don't care what kind of self-congratulatory blather any other tanning salon gives you...NONE of them can come even CLOSE to ITan! When choosing a tanning salon...PICK ITan! You will not just be pleased with the service...you will be outright elated...I'm not stretching the truth here AT ALL. If I could I would give this place 2.5 stars, but to remain positive I will go with 3. First off the service was good but not great. Staff was friendly, and did what was expected but didn't do anything special. The place was a mess due to the remodel, but will not fault them for that since it was my choice to visit them during the remodel. What I did not like was the level one bed. It was super low to the ground so I had to crawl in and out of it. Also, it was very claustrophobic. It was a new bed which was nice, but the top closes completely on you almost to the point of touching your chest. Making you feel like your in a small tube. Did not like this. Thus I am only giving 3 stars since it was an average experience. I will probably go back in a month to give them another chance, but as of now I will stick with the La Costa location. read more
