WARNING; excellent feedback to follow. Trashed my derailleur the day before. Went to the "sister" shop in Delores Co. to see what options I had. Scott was able to suspend the tune up he was doing at the time to get me up and running and on the trail. He also identified a bushing that will need attention in the rear shock. Super friendly, excellent time management and all around cool vibe. Go there, spend some cash meet the shop dog ride your bike. This shop is just awesome. History hanging everywhere, great selection of bikes, and super cool trail shirts. We stopped in and met Graham and Scott, who were both friendly and knowledgeable. We had no issues with our bikes, but wanted to support the LBS and drop some cash in Cortez. We grabbed some shirts and stickers, checked out the amazing bikes hanging in the rafters, and went on our way. Thanks KBAB...we will be back. read more

This place is FIRST CLASS! Really terrific customer service. Walked in and Pete immediately approached us, said hello, and started to set us up with what we needed. We were just visiting and wanted to rent some bikes. For $50/ea we rented bikes for 24 hrs, helmets included, flat repair kit included, and also a bike rack for our car included. Which was soooo nice to be able just throw our bikes on the rack and not have to fight them in the car. They were so chill about everything and made us feel very comfortable with equipment that we weren't that comfortable with. He showed us what trails to ride and directions to get there. Would definitely recommend and will be back if we're down that way. read more

IMPRESSED!!! i only came to the store because ospreypacks.com website said this store was an authorized dealer for osprey packs. i was locating a bite valve replacement. i asked if they sold in individual units because osprey does not sell the bite valves as an individual separately. they said sure and sold me 2 bite valves!!! i had lots of questions about trail running and the owner, scott, showed me a map with all the local trails and talked about all sorts of stuff too. kinda cool. i love how i only spent $10 on osprey bite valves and the owners and staff were still willing to talk with me and my family! even though i didn't buy or rent a bike the owners & staff are very customer oriented and i loved being in the store! read more

I almost killed myself mountain biking in Sedona when my cleats would not clip out. I had to take my shoes off and leave them on the pedals once I got to the van. However, this was the first leg of my trip. I spent one night in Cortez and found Kokopelli. I went in and spoke with a guy named Keith and explained my problem and told him I was on my way to Moab and needed my shoes off the pedals and some sort of solution to my problem. He called me within hours telling me that he changed the cleats and that my bike was ready. I went in that day and picked up my bike. Keith treated me like a local and charged me only the 25 bucks for the cleats and no labor costs. They were super nice to me and solved my problem in a very affordable way. I rode hard in Moab the next evening and thought about how Keith may very well have saved my life because I could have had the same problem at Devil's Ridge and I would not be writing this review. Those guys at Kokopelli were great. read more

We recently held a bike day for some kids at The Piñon Project Youth Mentoring Program. Kokopelli Bike & Board was our first stop on our adventure.
