Kolache Rolf's still gets the essentials right. The dough is soft with a light chew, never gummy, and structurally sound. Their heat control is precise: cheese melts cleanly, temperature stays even, nothing scorches or collapses. Discipline matters. Jalapeño Ham & Cheese My baseline item. Real ham, balanced salt, heat that blends into the dough instead of fighting it. Sausage Kolache Small-link style with a clean snap and proper dough-to-meat ratio. Technically correct, no shortcuts. Bubba Buns (egg + coarse-ground sausage) Rich, but the fat is clean and aromatic. Filling stays loose and airy rather than compacting into a dense lump. This is the savory profile that still reads unmistakably Texas. Since leaving Texas, I've looked across multiple states for savory kolaches with this level of dough structure, filling texture, and seasoning discipline. Many resemble it; very few perform like this. And there's a pattern: Whenever I meet Aggies outside Texas -- different cities, different careers -- a surprising majority mention this shop first when talking about what they miss. We came back to Kolache Rolf's the last time we were in College Station. My boys like Rolf's Kolaches the best. They like the sweetness of the bread the most. This last trip, we had the fruit. They were very good. I think I actually liked them more than the sausage. Yep, Rolf's has Kolaches and More Kolaches! In my opinion, one of the best in the Brazos Valley! read more

If you're in BCS there's really no better place to go for kolaches - and bonus! It's a chain so there's probably one relatively near you. The smaller ones tend to be better than the larger ones - I think possibly they use a different kind of sausage for the larger kolaches and the taste difference really does change things up a bit. I visited on a Sunday morning and used the drive through. The speaker was broken, so someone came out when I was the 2nd car from the window to take my order. It was ready by the time I arrived at the window. This was my first time to Kolache Rolf's, and it was okay. I ordered the Bacon/Egg/Cheese Bubba Bun. The bread was delicious. I assume that it'd be similarly yummy in the meat or traditional kolaches. The egg was a small, bland premade egg disc. I was not impressed. The bacon was thin and chewy (not crispy at all). When I took my first bite, the entire bacon disc slid out and I had to use my hand to kind-of tear it so there would be more left in the later bites. So, I would not recommend that particular item to others. I may try a traditional kolache in the future, as the bread was very good. read more

Very good fruit kolaches and cream cheese kolaches. No one makes them as good as GM did but these are pretty good.

Came in for a yelp deal offering a check in for 3 free kolaches when you buy 3. We got here right after opening at 6am and we got served immediately . Kolaches are pretty good but not the best. However , the cheese danishes are to dieeee for! Truly the only reason I'd come back . But if you need a quick yummy breakfast , I'd add this to your places to try. read more

This was my first time trying Kolache Rolf's. The staff was so friendly and service was quick! I got the bbq kolache and the strawberry cream cheese kolache and they were both amazing! I am giving a 5 out of 5 because the staff were very polite and extremely fast. Also, you can get so much food for just $10! My boyfriend loved the bacon and cheese kolache (klobasnek) and the cream cheese kolache. I preferred the Slovacek sausage and cheese kolache (klobasnek) and the apple kolache. I wish the ratio of filling to dough was more 50-50, but that's just how I like my kolaches haha read more

Junk. Bread wasn't done and still doughy. Small amounts of filling in the kolache. Also ordered a breakfast sandwich and the eggs were the same kind you get at the hotel with a free breakfast. I'm sure my review won't change anything since it seemed the targeted clientele is hungover college kids. Just stick to the free hotel breakfast with powdered eggs and microwaved bacon, it'll be better than Rolf's. read more

I have been coming here for quite some time to get the Slovacek with cheese kolaches and other flavors. The kolaches always taste great but the service has been lacking and most recently, I have had issues with their service regarding their punch cards. I have been using their frequent buyers card that says "Buy 9 and get one free". Sounds great, but it is not as great as it should be. They give you one "hole punch" per visit. So if you go 9 times and buy 3-4 kolaches each time, you get 1 Kolache free after buying 27-36. That is NOT a good deal. I asked the employees and they told me that this is their policy to give one punch per visit. I have been patient in a response from the owner but I am tired of waiting. I called and have left several messages at all 3 locations for Rolf to call me and he has never returned my call. You have lost all of my future business and referrals from me... all because you will not return my call. Thanks for the breakfasts in the past but I will not return. read more

Had a pretty good experience here, decent priced kolaches and a good variety offered! I ordered the original cheese & sausage kolache as well as a bacon and cheese one. The dough quality is pretty great and fluffy, and their sausage is of similar excellent quality. It's not your average hot dog, but has more spice and substance. I wish there was a bit more cheese though! I wasn't as crazy for the bacon one, I believe the taste would've been richer if it was the whole bacon instead of chopped up pieces. Overall, it was great and didn't have to spend too much. Would definitely return! read more

I'm from Houston and they have kolache factory's everywhere. So I thought I'd give this place a try and I can't figure out why they are all over college station and Bryan. It was such a disappointment and needless to say once was enough. read more

My daughter and I have an issue with avoiding this place lol. I like the Slovacek sausage jalepeno and cheese, and on the weekends they do Chorizo kolaches (mmmmm). I am also a huge fan of their great big cinnamon buns. Oh! and I love the unique bacon jalapeno and cheese koloaches... you have to see them to understand. My daughter likes their regular kolaches (which are a dainty size with a different sausage in it), and she likes the cream cheese kolaches. And I would note that every time I go in there, all the ladies are super nice. FYI: they have wifi there. This place is never a disappointment! read more

Kopaches among the best I've had in my life, and beyond reasonably priced. Only complaint is that they could be hotter.

I love Kolache Rolf's! We try to visit every year when we are in town. While the staff working there was not very friendly, the food was amazing! We love the sausage and cheese kolache and the ham and cheese kolache. The cream cheese one is amazing - I wish I had gotten two! And we tried the chorizo square for the first time - YUM! This place has the best kolaches!!! My favorites are the bacon, cheese and jalapeño and the cream cheese!! I love how all the ingredients are baked throughout the bread instead of all in the middle. Went to pick up day old. Standing at check out, one worker on her phone behind the counter, texting and not looking up. Another came from the back, filled up a cup of ice, and never turned and looked at us. Left the day old at the register and left. Very, very, very poor customer service. read more
