The Physical Therapy Place came highly recommended and luckily was in network for my insurance so I called to make an appointment. Located in an office building at the corner of 42nd and Laurel in the medical / university district, my first appointment involved arriving early and filling out the necessary background paperwork. I then met with Corina Carlson, PT, DPT who gave me my strength and flexibility assessment and discussed my medical background with me. Given I had been dealing with other health issues for the year prior, let's just say there were quite a few limitations. And my strength was next to nil. That didn't dissuade Corina however. We spent part of the 45 minute session working through 3 different exercises at the end of which I was given printouts and shown how to adapt them to home use as needed. Of course each session came with "homework." Which I diligently did almost every evening. We decided on a course of coming in once a week over a period of two months at which time everything would be reassessed. However often due to my work schedule some of those weekly schedules turned into bi-weekly. Which Corina would gently tease me about. Corina has a great personality and was very easy to work with. It was obvious from our first meeting she has her patients best interest at heart. The office is rather small and only consists of 2-3 physical therapists. But the office staff was friendly and insurance was billed promptly. Appointments were fairly easy to make. All in all this was my first bout of physical therapy and I was released for home care at the end of December when my knee started to show improvement. In the event I ever need PT again, I would definitely return to The Physical Therapy Place. And would whole heartedly recommend it to others.

I've left messages and emailed. Nobody has ever called me back. Dr. Levine wanted to see me back in a month but he's gone for 6 weeks and getting in with someone else was near impossible. At the risk of angering the Yelp gods, I will just copy/paste it here: I had a very positive experience in Denali PT's work hardening program. Everyone in the clinic was very supportive, from the PTs themselves to the techs, massage therapist, front desk and billing department, and also the other participants in the program. When I worked with him it was always fun and cool to with and especially when it came to concerns, I had we always found a way. Jesse is another PT that I worked with. Now Jesse is a character and I love it. I'm sorry if the phrasing is weird but that's the best way to describe it. I can tell you I was always a bit scared to work with Jesse but that's because I know. as some would say "Put that work in." and not going to lie sometimes it feels he gets in the zone, and we forget to take breaks. (happy face with lol would be here) hoped you guys laughed at that. But in all he is a great guy, and I hope he gets some more beautiful pictures next time he goes highking. and last but not least Taylor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He was my main PT and to me it's crazy because I will actually miss you guys. Their billing practices are woefully inadequate. They cannot figure out how to provide the basic…read moreminimum amount of information to receive reimbursement for an HSA or FSA account. They never provide a description of services offered and maintain you have to wait for the bills to clear your insurance first. It's maddening and time consuming for patients as it requires follow up and sometimes significant delays for reimbursement. It is beyond me that an invoice can't or doesn't allow the opportunity to include a description of services rendered. For example, was it a PT appointment, a purchase for stretchy bands, massage, etc. Ugh! The providers are skilled but the Admin side with Rev Cycle needs serious attention.

The vibe wasn't good and I regret coming here I paid upfront because it is required so I couldn't walk out after the fact and I left in more pain than when I walked in. If I would rate it wouldn't even be a star and the lady asked that I put down a tip when done so I just did out of respect and walked out. Will never ever ever go back!
