Tried to call Dr Koo's office to ask for an appointment for my son's yearly medical paper needed for school and It said "we're sorry you have reach a number that has been disconnected." Then I read 2 other reviews in here and I realized she's gone... our family is so devastated right now. We were just there last April. So sad to hear about Dr. Koo I went to the clinic today and hope there is some contact info there for me to contact. I need to get some records including the immunization vaccination. Unfortunately, nothing left on the door, but I went the pharmacy on 1st flr. The staff told me that Monday 8/9 and Tuesday 8/10, there will be someone there from 10-1pm. If anyone wants to get anything, pls go between these hours. Other than that, I don't know I will check it on Monday Updates: the office will be open this week Thursday and Friday as well, I don't check the time , but I believe morning as well. 1 star just for the medical assistants! Jasmine and Jennifer are the only ones who care about the patients. The doctor prescribes the same medications to every single one of her patients. There are cockroaches all over the place I don't know how they pass audit. Doctor is rude and if u question her she will tell you to go be your own doctor. Staff does not have proper ppe or equipment. They don't clean anything. Manger doesn't know a thing about the medical field. They're scandalous to their own staff. DO NOT COME!!!!!! read more

Dr. Koo has been treating my family and now my kids for the past 40 years. She has been the only doctor that had been able to treat correctly my kids of their chronic asthma. Sadly, she permanently closed her office after 50+ years. I am devastated to see her go. read more

The wait, whether you have an appointment or not, is incredibly INSANE here. BUT there is a good reason for it - she's amazing! Throughout my childhood, I'd often get really bad colds once a year and she's always managed to prescribe exactly the right combinations of medication to get me better. I've tried other doctors, and it would take so many weeks for me to heal. But with Dr. Koo, you'll be better in no time. She doesn't skimp on giving out shots either, which is good because it heals you even faster! (: She's truly amazing and according to my mom's conversations with other parents in the waiting room, some of them come from Santa Ana just to see her! People are even waiting outside the door before they open! I would definitely recommend her to anyone. It just sucks that I'm no longer a child because she's a pediatrician :/ read more

The staff are not friendly, especially their manager. She's so rude and not helpful, keep speak aloud, wanna argue to anybody. Really hard to make an appointment, and if you have the appointment, good luck. Even you wait there whole day, maybe still cannot see the doctor. My son got sick and we waited there whole day, then they told us go to Urgent Care. Why don't you say that at the beginning? I'd rather give 0 star if I could. read more

Great doctor no questions asked, you can trust her with anything just remember to ask if any concerns arise. Everyone knows if a doctor is good the wait time is gonna be long, plus if it takes a few hours for your little one to get better then waiting shouldn't be a concern they have a big hallway to take your baby if he gets fuzzy. read more

I've never been a patient, however, my nephews are. My sister has asked me several times to go get a time slot since I live 5 minutes away, she lives a bit further. Due to my love for my nephews, I do it. They open (or see patients) starting a little before noon, I think. But I had to drive my ass there at 730am to get a time slot, which were few to begin with. Doors open at 9. Once I get there, take a time slot, I leave. I find this method stupid. So my review is solely on just wait time and acquiring aooointments. I took my child here for years. I don't know why I tolerated it. Dr Koo is nice but the staff are not so nice or patient. The wait is unbearable. After my child got admitted to hospital Dr. Koo would not even get on the phone to consult with me. I was scared and needed her advice. THAT WAS THE LAST STRAW!!!!!!! I never returned after that and found a wonderful pediatrician- DR. Narayanan in Montebello. Talk about day and night. Dr. Nayanama is so attentive and genuinely concerned about my child. I've been bringing my son here since he's been 5 months. It's always packed here. The last time I came here, I came 20 mins before his appointment and the place wasn't packed. Doctor is ok but she did mess up on Gardasil shots for my kids. Under 12 yo kid was suppose to get 2 doses but she wants us to get 3. I even confirmed with Gardasil and CDC to make sure, but oh well.... I don't have the MD title after my name. I don't know if the office is too busy or what, but things don't get done on time or done with mistakes. I had to call repeatedly to get labs, authorizations, appointments. They even made referrals to the wrong doctors even though I repeatedly provided them names of the doctors I want to see. The office manager has no patience when she talks to you and keeps cutting you off in conversations. Alyssa, Jasmine and Mandy are much nicer with patients. The after-hour on calls is terrible. It's a guy that has heavy Asian accent. He literally shouts in the phone "the office is closed!!!! Call back tomorrow!". The office should consider switching this person out. My two kids all here, but now terrible , my kid was waiting all day from 10 am till 5 pm because we walked in if you don't have appointment you need wait all day to see her, if you have appointment you still need to wait at least 1 hour, cause she came very late. Okay, I haven't been here for years...rather since I was a baby. But despite the cold, sterile environment and the fact that I hated shots when I was a child, I learned as I grew to appreciate this MD's work. She took care of me and my brother very much when we were young. She is kind, despite the pain you'd expect from a prick of a shot. While I have grown a lot since those times, she is probably the doctor that made me the state of health I am at. A lot happened when I was younger, and for the most part she cured those that ailed me. I was quite surprised that she is still working after all this time...but that is great to know considering she is good at what she does. The people here that go to her are in good hands. read more

This place doesn't even deserve one star!!! Went to this office for the first time with my 3 week old baby and the receptionists were rude and unprofessional.. the office is dirty and a small roach was crawling on my shoe while I was waiting to be seen!! The dr was ok she answered all my questions but she left the door wide open while evaluating my daughter.. which is very unprofessional! She prescribed two medications for my baby both were steroids which I think is crazy considering she is only 3 weeks old..I didn't feel like all the medication was good for my baby so I didn't give it to her and I took my baby to children's hospital for a second opinion and a different Dr said she is way too small to be taking that medication and not to give it to her. The dr here is extremely careless if she's giving out medication that could be harmful to the patient especially a 3 week old baby!! I would not recommend this place take your kids somewhere else! read more

Only the BEST pediatrician in the world. She has specific walk in hours but it is best to at least try to call in to get an appointment. Yes, she is one of those doctors that always seems to be a little bit behind schedule. The reason? Because she is AMAZING. I live in Fresno where there is a lot of dust, pollen, etc..my 6 yr old has had this constant dry cough that wouldn't go away for a year. Doctors kept prescribing him different types of cough medicine but nothing ever worked...I asked them could it be asthma since it runs in my family but they never once prescribed him anything! So when I went down to LA relatives recommended Doctor Koo to me! The day I went we waited an hour to get called in they did the usual stuff then we got our room. Waited another 30 min Dr Koo came in with a big smile. Looked at my son and asked a couple questions and immediately gave him Advair to try and he was a lot better then she prescribed some medicine to take for a whole week and then his cough disappeared!! And has yet to come back!!! Dr Koo was professional sweet and courteous! She knew everything and anything! Thank you Dr Koo and staff who were all courteous and helpful! If you do not have an appointment then don't even bother coming to this place. Even with appointment, we would have to wait 1-2 hrs at time. This place overbooked their appointments and constantly accepting new clients. There was one time when my daughter had to go see her without appointment due to an emergency and the receptionist would not enter my daughter name on the list. She said if I want to see the Dr then I would have to come in right now and wait. We ended up waiting for 3 hrs. Once we got in, the Dr didn't even sit down. She just asked what my daughter problem was and then telling me that she think my daughter have strep throat infection. So far she has diagnosed my daughter with strep throat twice and it's turned out to be negative. The interesting thing was she gave us a prescription for antibiotic and told us to stop taking it if the test come out negative. The problem is I didn't even get the test back until a week later and I had to chase after the office to get the results. Luckily I didn't give my daughter antibiotic to begin with. Another thing that I don't like about this Dr is she rushes you about in less than 5 minutes when we had to wait for so long even with appointment. After seeing her a few times, I finally decided to switch to another pediatrician who actually care about kids. read more
