The first thing I gotta dish is how awesome the owner and staff is! Super friendly, no up sell which to me is the most annoying thing about tanning salons. They bring out the little plastic menu and before you know it you're paying hundreds a month for tanning. Kill Rays doesn't do that. The staff legitimately seems to care about giving you the sexy glow! The self spray tan booth (clear) is easy to do and if you want just a touch of sun make sure you get the highest shade the tan is medium to light even at the highest level. The booth is easy to use streak free. I'm a first timer to the world of infrared therapy - the internet seems to be divided if it really works, I saw results immediately and came back the next day. I'm a believer. Next time I go back I'm getting a custom spray tan! Every time someone walks out they look great and seem to be happy about the experience. read more

Been working out more lately and been learning more about recovery so was happy to find out about infrared body wraps from Kool Rays. I am always open to giving new things a try so I was happy to make my way over to Glendale to see what a body wrap was all about. First thing I noticed when I walked in was that the place feels very clean. I saw there were many other rooms with different high tech looking devices. I wasn't there for the tanning but seems like they also have quite a few devices for that - all of them looked well-maintained. Anyways, on to the experience- the lady at the front desk showed me to my room where I would be getting the body wrap. You are told in advance to wear a sweater, sweats, and long socks. Then you get wrapped up like a taco on a bed. The taco (you) starts to heat up incrementally until you reach the designated temperature. Based off their recommendation for first time users I went with a level 45. The lady said more experienced people go with 60. Anyways it got pretty warm towards the end of the hour long wrap but I think I could've went with a slightly higher number. When you lay there you can choose to have your arms wrapped in or out. They also have a tv in the room if you want to tune into a show and relax for the session. Overall the front desk lady was attentive and nice. She answered all my questions. I definitely felt more relaxed afterwards though I felt like next time I would make it a little hotter. read more

The staff is friendly, the place is clean, and the beds are good. It's a bit pricey but so far I really do like this salon. I switched to a different bed and and alternate with stand up and I'm really getting some color. Just in time for an event I have coming up. The stand up beds here a great! read more

I moved here a year ago and had been looking for a new tanning salon that could match my old place. After going to three other options in the area, I came into Kool Rays, after my nail appt. and I was greeted by Jenny who made me feel so welcome! She explained the beds, lotions, and prices, and even took me to the rooms. I became a member and have appreciated the customer service from all the staff (I'm sorry I'm forgetting the other woman's name I usually see, but she's great too). I have watched this team manage very high volume times, staying in great communication with clients, and always doing their best to make sure everyone's experience is pleasant and seamless. This place is definitely a must to try out especially if you're looking for indoor tanning! I think they have other locations also, but I went to the Glendale location. Met the owner once and he explained in detail the different types of tanning beds and expected results. Not only are the tanning results amazing, but this place is very well kept and the cleanliness is impeccable, especially during this COVID time we're going thru. The individual rooms and tanning beds all look super shiny and new!! Extremely happy today that I went because I was able to purchase their platinum tanning package at a great price!
