I've had a very pleasant experience with Bronze Buns as a very pale girlie trying to get a summer base tan. I got a solid base in 1.5 months but I imagine girls with more melanin will tan even faster. I burn very easily, and Shakira (hope I'm spelling it right) took so much time helping me understand the different beds, prices, tanning lotions, etc. She always remembers me when I go in, and makes sure i have extra towels and leave with a free cold drink. She is just the sweetest. She listens and checks in regularly, and made sure I started with extremely short sessions (2 minutes) and worked my way up. She also let me upgrade to the premium bed for free a couple times to see what it was like, and even let me try out her personal premium tan accelerator lotion that was out of budget for me. Now with my base tan I feel cuter in shorts and dresses, and I notice that I can actually walk around outside for a few minutes without immediately burning my chest and arms. Yay! read more

Prepping for competition and have experience with tanning places - My first experience with that place. it's been 3 days already and I see a great result of tan on my Full Body Uv Bed Tan, these tanning baths are great, second, I was really impressed by warm welcoming of Shakira, who runs that place, she is professionally introduced me into each room they have and differences, the way u can pick a right one for you ! I just went to Bronze Buns Tanning Salon to help build my base tan for the summer. I haven't tanned in a salon in many years and honestly have previously only tanned in pretty old, small machines and only have done it maybe five times max. I was coming in to this session with very little knowledge on pricing, modern, nicer beds, lotions and products, etc. John was so incredibly helpful breaking down all of the different bed types and packages before I came in over the phone, and then helped me chose a proper lotion for my goals and skin type once I went in person. He did a great job walking me through how to use the bed and helping me decide how long I should tan for. Being a rookie a made a blunder by not closing the bed once I got in (really silly in hindsight but it was tricky and I didn't want to risk breaking the machine.) Of course as soon as I finished my session I realized the bed closed and that I had probably not gotten the best tan. I explained to John what had happened and he was so proactive and took his light reader and figured out about how much exposure it got on the front of my body with the machine being open and how much I would have gotten had it been closed. He was so kind and wanted me to get a proper tan so he helped me reset the bed and cover the bottom with towels since I already tanned my back correctly and had me go for another 5 minutes to even out my front. That level of customer service is so admirable, especially since I was the person who made the mistake, not him! I highly recommend going to Bronze Buns if you're looking for a good salon, with great customer service. I'll definitely be back and look forward to trying some of the other beds and giving more business to John! read more

This place has gone insanely downhill. I've been coming here for 4 years and have had really bad experiences the last few times when the owner has not been present. Last night I was told to 'come back in 30 minutes because they're doing something to the beds'. When I came back after 30 minutes - I was told by people who were there just hanging out with the employee that 'they're closed?', I said no she told me to come back in 30 minutes? When the employee came up from the back, no greeting whatsoever just 'WHATS YOUR NAME'. I feel like I'm legit bothering them when I walk in. I am very happy with Bronze Buns, every time I need some color I come here and do the level 5 bed with beauty led light which helps with fine lines and wrinkles on the face and gives you a glowing look. They have Great monthly packages. It has always been a quick and easy process. I recommend morning and late evenings cause after work between 5-6 can get busy and lunch time, and weekends are always busy so try to get there early to get a bed or expect a wait. This was my first time going to a tanning salon and I'm so happy I stumbled upon this small business owner rather than a bigger chain. John was tremendously helpful with going over the very minor details with me given that it was my first time. He was so helpful and didn't rush through it like other bigger chains tend to do. The room was spotless and everything was sanitized. There was awesome music, wipes, deodorant and overall everything needed to make the experience worthwhile. I've been a customer for at least 4 yrs and have been pretty upset over the past few months. Three times on a weekend... I have arrived a little after either 10:30 AM or 11:30 AM... So I need a base layer before I head off to Thailand for a few weeks. I decided to come here based on location AND all of the reviews. I was given a tour of the facility as well a breakdown of each machine and what it does and the cost. I chose a one week unlimited package as I leave a week from today; my have tanning beds come a long way since I used one over 10 years ago!! The bed I chose looked like a rainbow UFO, it was so cute!! It had a face and body mister inside, it has speaker and a selection of music or should you want to listen to something on ur phone there is an audio cable to plug into. There was a face and body fan; all of this is controlled from inside the bed. I went in for 8 minutes and played around with all the buttons, it made time pass super quickly. This is a great studio and I will definitely be back once my tropical tans fades. read more

Yet if you look at the likes on my comment you will see the owner finds it funny! He won't dispute his fraudulent business ways...he actually laughs at and mocks his customers! He sold me a package which I pad for and then had to return my Groupon because he would not allow me to use it (if I had to guess this was his was around paying the Groupon surcharge) Since I had NEVER used a Groupon and the only stipulation on the Groupon was that you could not be a customer within a year and only one Groupon per customer and one more as a gift. I called to verify it had been more than a year and that was confirmed by a very nice female employee. Johns business may be booming if he kept himself out of it. When I went in to use my Groupon he again he refused it. Stating I had used a Groupon. I provided proof I had paid with a CC and never used a Groupon. He agreed that was true but still refused it. Now he claims I threatened him? Give me a break. Dude. You blew it and you know it. Stop with your dumb comments. You did what you did. Just take it like a man. read more

Just picked up my man from the airport and he hasn't gotten a lot of sun lately since he's stationed in Alaska so he wanted to try out a good tanning place. Found this little gem on yelp. Came in the owner John showed him around and we even got a coupon from yelp for lotions and was really sweet, knowledgeable and broke down all the different options. We were looking in the area for other places to go out too and he was directing us in where to go. The tanning bed was so nice!!!! It was a high pressure tanning bed level 12 that he could even hook up his phone to play music on, and he got out. Gave him a lot of color without multiple sessions and it really saves you money from having to go multiple times! Great place to hit up and in a great location!!! read more

This is the BEST PLACE TO TAN- beds or sunless!! Awesome customer service-John and his family are always friendly and do NOT use any sales approach, which is a nice change. My first time here he showed me all the beds (they have stand ups and lay downs) and was extremely thorough. Other places are usually pushing their products or up selling their beds/packages. No recurring monthly or sign up stuff. You can use for a month and then take time off. I like the one month unlimited tans. The beds are GREAT! I don't self tan, but those that leave the self tanners look really nice. They supply towels, all sorts deodorants, wipes, and eyewear in each room. Let me start off my saying I'm from Jersey, the unofficial tanning capitol of the world. This salon is THE BEST tanning experience I have ever had. I went in thinking that all tanning salons are the same, so I might as well just get the lowest level. Boy was I wrong! John showed me around the place and gave me a list of the different options for each bed. I did want to keep it under a certain price point, so I went with the second-best bed: a unit with aromatherapy, air conditioning, and crazy strong (but customizable) face and shoulder tanners. This place is super run down. Everything is worn out and outdated. The whole salon has a weird smell. I threw my goggles in the trash and the owner fished through the trash to take them out "to save for other customers." A few hours later I got the worst burns I've ever seen. I love this tanning salon, mainly being because it is so clean and well kept and I love that. The staff is also very professional and the receptionist up front is very knowledgeable you can ask him any question on any bed and he can explain the bed in detail. The beds themselves are great all are top of the line, the best ones are kind of pricey but it's expected as they are the best and strongest, I've used their strongest bed before and just recently used their least strongest and even their least strongest bed is of very good quality and works very well. Of course if you have the money to splurge I'd definitely do their strongest bed which is upfront because it is very nice and has all these extra added amenities. Their bathroom is very clean and very pretty too has a nice marble sink, their towels are always clean and smell freshly laundered and I like that all their trash cans and soap dispensers are automatic. In the tanning rooms themselves they have baby wipes and deodorant available for your use which is also nice. I started my membership, and after about 2 weeks I finally took the plunge and tried out the Ergoline Prestige (level 5). It's got aromatherapy and Aqua Mist (cooling mist you turn on within the bed). I felt like I had transported to the spa instead of the tanning salon! All of the beds are brand new, so any package you wind up choosing is going to get you dark, fast. I love tanning, I need my Vitamin D! Bronze Buns recently went through a remodel, which is nice. They're in this fun happy-medium place where the prices are still low but the beds are new. I come here from work and it is a great wind-down at the end of my day. Just relocated to the area and was looking to be slightly less pale before heading to the beach. I wanted to try a few different places to see which was most effective for the cost, and Bronze Buns was the third one I tried. It will also be the last one! Right when I arrived, the man who I believe was the owner gave me a full tour of each bed, along with their pricing options (which they have tons of). When I somehow still had a couple questions at the end, he was very patient in answering, and explained how the bed I'd chosen worked. I liked the bed a lot, as well as how they have deodorant and wipes in each room!
