Ive had a few interesting experiences at different tanning salons, ones where I ended up leaving cause I thought it might seem weird if I asked them to either let me clean the bed they are putting me in or have them redo it, but NOT this salon, this salon has a trendy comfortable feeling and most of all its CLEAN. The Staff members are super sweet, They know their stuff. I'm the type of person who can get tan but I am more on the fair side, I'd never really used lotion before cause I never knew the benefits, One of the girls can't remember her name off the top of my head but she's blonde... she asked me a few questions about my skin and about how many times I can come in etc... based upon my answers and my budget she picked me out this lotion called Pretty and recklace.. Ha Ha clever names, I see a big difference when I use it and Im addicted to the smell I bought a month unlimited in the Level 5, which lets me use all the tanning beds... but I haven't tried the other ones yet cause I lovvvvvveeeee it!!!!! I've tanned 5 times and people are already noticing :) I plan to try the "bronzing bed" and "standing beds" before my month is up just so I can compare but so far Im really happy on the level 5. I think they have great packages and good pricing. I signed up on the email sheets and about once a month I get a special sent to me... I love the specials... and I recently liked them on facebook.... DO THAT!!! sometimes they have really good that day only specials!!!! SO excited to update my review--for the better! Under new management? Yes! Lindsey is the current manager of Media City & that's probably the smartest business move made by the company. Her entire team, ESPECIALLY Seda & Hannah, are amazing! Seda is stunning. She's like a breath of fresh air. She's beautiful, professional, knowledgable, and AMAZING at her work! She helped me understand which tanning lotion is the best for me and why mine was delaying the results. I ended up purchasing a bottle of Elusive thanks to Seda and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it... I enjoy putting my membership package to good use because the staff is so friendly, you don't hesitate to go! Cleanliness: the cleanest tanning salon I've ever been to... no joke. I do wish the rooms had mirrors though... but that's not too big of a deal... Prices: while this isn't the cheapest salon in town, that may be a good thing. You REALLY get what you pay for! The bulbs in the beds are always strong, the beds and towels always clean... and sometimes their website offers 20% off lotions! Some salons offer $90/month unlimited tanning in their best bed but the results that you may see in 1 month at those salons, you may see in one week at Media! They also have a "beauty bar" as I like to call it... where they offer q-tips, deodorizing spray, baby wipes, etc... perfect to clean up and wipe your hands after tanning! Media City Sun is the place to be! The location is great (right down the street from Starbucks! haha My favorite!!!). Also there is a parking garage right next to it which is pretty convenient. The staff members are very sweet and knowledgeable! The staff from the previous salon I went to weren't nearly as attentive as the staff at Media City Sun, with that said, A+ for customer service! P.S. Amanda is awesome! The salon is SPOTLESS! That's crucial in my book! Not only are the beds/rooms clean but the whole salon is put together very nicely. I mean.. EVERY TIME I'm there someone is cleaning something. It's great! Presentation and quality matter. The pricing is good. $129 for a month unlimited in their best bed is pretty rockin' to me! I love this place! It so convenient I live up the street and the hours are great I stop by either before work of after since they are open late which is a big plus! The staff is always nice and attentive they rarely ever have a wait time. I love it that they don't try to upsell so much, here and there they will try to sell you products or services but understand when you say no thanks it means no thanks. I've been to places where I was forced t buy a product I did not need because I felt so pressured. overall this place is great I recommend it to everyone only downside is the parking I hate going in the parking structure next to them. If your lucky you'll get parking right in front sometimes. -1star for the prices because they are kind of pricey and the parking. read more

I've probably been to at least four or five different tanning salons enough times to achieve results. Nevertheless, I always keep coming back to Media City Sun. The entire look of the place just whispers in your ear, "hi there, I'm your tanning salon and you're my client and that's just what you're gonna want us to be together till death do us part." I've gotta give credit where credit is due, Seda Is awesome!!!! She takes her time with you whether it's about lotions, the color you want to maintain, the color you want to obtain.... through a spray, through a bed or even if what's best is a mix of different beds and packages, etc.. she's very knowledgeable and is always accommodating. I have been to just about every tanning salon in the Los Angeles area in search of a fabulous tan, an educated and friendly staff, awesome customer service and of course an extremely clean environment as I myself an somewhat of a clean freak!! This is THE place!! Do not waste your time trying any other salon. Simple. You will be 100% satisfied. The service I received was incredible and the tan, well, needless to say, I look great. My tan is perfect. All of the beds are state of the art. I tanned in the Matrix bed which is the best bed in the salon. After just five sessions I was ready for my vacation in Hawaii. I bought the $50 for $100 deal it was so worth it!! I have been here before so I knew exactly what package I wanted and used the offer towards it. Everyone is always so friendly and helpful. They even gave me a little bit or tanning lotion to use for the day because I forgot to bring mine with me. That's very nice. They didn't have to do that but actually care enough to go above and beyond. Prices are a bit higher but they usually have some kind of offer you can take advantage of. The hours are very good. This tanning salon is like a refuge. The minute I walk in am greeted with warm, welcoming smiles. The receptionists are always on hand to provide information and great service. I never feel rushed. Not only the training helped with my confidence to spray tan but also there are other opportunities to work with the brand, continue education, and also there's a supportive fb group. I will say this, whether you get a training from her or anyone else YOU should be putting in what you want to get out of it. If you expect to just get clientele just by this training and not doing the work you are not being realistic. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I spent my savings on this training because I genuinely believed I was investing in myself and in starting my own business. That made the experience especially disappointing. There was very little information provided overall, and a lot of the classroom portion focused on their products and the brand itself. I understand that learning about the products is important, but I was expecting much more education on the actual techniques, equipment, setup, troubleshooting, and practical knowledge needed to confidently start doing spray tans. When it comes to the hands-on portion, you should be aware that you get very limited one-on-one time with Isabell, and most of the hands-on instruction is done with her other employees. There is absolutely nothing wrong with her employees helping with the training, but I do feel this should be clearly advertised and explained beforehand. I specifically signed up because I wanted to train with someone experienced, so my expectation was that I would be getting substantially more hands-on instruction and experience directly from Isabell. I only had the opportunity to practice on one leg and one arm, and even then, I was being guided by having my hand held through the process. For me, the hands-on portion was the most important reason I chose an in-person training. It was also difficult to watch the other students because computer screens and phones being used to film the Zoom portion were frequently blocking my view. There were also many basic things I expected to learn in a professional spray tanning training that were not covered, such as how to set up and unfold the tent, how to properly clean it, what type of fans to use, different types of spray guns, how to load the gun with solution, different solution options and when to use them, and many other practical aspects of actually doing this as a business. I also wasn't told that I would not be receiving the spray gun until I emailed to ask. What really stayed with me is that during the classroom portion, Isabell talked about taking a training herself that left her feeling like she didn't know what to do afterward. I remember hearing that and thinking that she, of all people, would understand how important it is for students to leave a training feeling prepared, confident, and supported. If I could tell her something honestly and from the heart, it would be this: **I wish that experience had made you want to provide an even better experience for the people who come to learn from you, because unfortunately, that's how I feel I am leaving this training. And I know I'm not the only one.** I understand that there is plenty of information online, and I am completely willing to continue educating myself. But that's not why I paid for a professional training. I spent my savings because I wanted to learn directly from someone experienced and leave feeling comfortable and confident enough to actually start my business. What has been especially disappointing is the communication afterward. I have been going back and forth with them regarding taking another class to "make up" for the experience. I never asked for another full class. **I only asked for the hands-on portion that I feel I did not receive during the training I already paid for.** I don't think it is unreasonable to want the hands-on portion of a hands-on training to actually be hands-on. I went into this with high expectations because of the brand and the experience I believed I was going to receive. Unfortunately, I left feeling like I still have to teach myself many of the things I specifically spent my savings to learn. I am still determined to make this business work, and I will continue learning and practicing on my own. But I wanted to share my honest experience so future students know what to expect and, hopefully, so the training can be improved for others. I truly hope this feedback is taken in the spirit in which it is intended. I am not trying to tear anyone down. I simply wish I had received the experience and hands-on education I believed I was paying for.
