UVASUN is the OG super deluxe tanning salon in L.A. since 1982. I had my first tanning session in L.A. here years ago when I was 18. They have always had the latest and (most important to me) impeccably clean sunbeds. The newest beds are spectacular and look like they are from a spaceship; some are by Porsche Design, have Bluetooth, advanced air cooling and multi-lamp systems. It seemed so futuristic back then and they still operate all the most cutting edge tanning equipment. Uvasun was always a little more expensive than the other local tanning salons. I see on their website that they now offer to price-match salons within a 5-mile radius on comparable services except spray tans. In addition to state-of-the-art tanning beds and sunless spray tans they also have light therapy, infrared sauna therapy and body contouring with red and infrared light. I went here a while ago when I was in town. It's very clean and the staff were awesome. I don't remember the model of the bed I used but I do remember it was beyond insane! I already had a good tan but this got me seriously darker in one session. Thank you to the neighboring lot for not towing my car since the GPS (and I) didn't know where the hell I was going and I was in the wrong lot. read more

I'm so glad I found this place! My husband has awful pityariasis rosea that wasn't responding to any medications. Saw that uv-b rays helped with skin conditions like psoriasis and we were at the kitchen sink stage and we went. The front desk receptionist is truly the best - we never felt pressured but it was all completely educational since we didn't care about the tan, just whatever the bed could do to accelerate the healing. She put him into the uv-b bed at the most sensitive setting for four minutes - it was incredibly clean and accessible. Within five days, he's shown incredible recovery!! He tried to refund my money, but at the end of the day, it was never about the money, it was about respecting another human who happened to be his customer. Do not go to this business as the owner, Greg is very rude in how he handles himself and does not treat people with kindness. This place is fantastic.  I had not been back for awhile since Covid, but stopped in to use their services before my vacation.  Everyone was so cool and helpful. I felt very safe being there with all the rules in place and masking as recommended by the local and CDC guidelines. In other words I got a great tan in a safe environment. I first called to get info on this place. I spoke with The owner Gregg. He was very informative on how to find the location. Gregg was also very informative and knowledgeable about how tanning works getting the most maximizing tan and how to tanning system works. As soon as I walked in instead of being starstruck I was tanstruck!!!!!, . This place is amazing. It was extremely clean the beds are high-quality top of the line, zero burningplenty of space to change music of your choicethey have showers other amenities to tighten and firm up some areas ,have a little mini hotelroom bar like style with waters and sodas. The parking is free very accessible to get up in the elevator. And something really cool and important I think is awesome that they have is a microphone to communicate from the room to the front desk if for any reason the bed is not turned on , or God for bid there's an emergency. read more

Gregg was so incredibly helpful and kind when going over all of the options and explaining what beds did what. I'm not usually much of a synthetic tanner but hey, us Californians still want to look cute and toasty during the 1/2 months we cant lay in the actual sun. No shame! I chose to come in here for two reasons- the ratings were really good, and because its very close to me. I can't speak for all of their other services, but so far my experience has been just fine. I purchased the most subtle package because I tan very quickly and just wanted a little glow (nothing crazy). I bought 1 month unlimited low level tanning for $50. I think that's very reasonable... Obviously the other packages offer more and are pricier, but I'm happy with what I went with. Parking and such- a few spaces in the front and additional spots in the back for free. I was so confused trying to find the door to this place...Find the elevator by the sidewalk sign...press the button the Uvasun and an old elevator will find its way down to you! I looked stupid walking around the parking lot for 5 min so I hope this helps! read more

I just love coming to this place, their tan machines are so up to date, and I never get burned. I also do think that the staff is very knowledgeable and have always guided me the right amount of time to tan and what type of lotions to use for my best color. They just installed a new tanning machine from Germany that has all kinds of crazy in it -- misters, red light and uv light, and the bed will connect with your phone to play your music -- very cool. Greg and Lenora have been awesome, always a smile of their faces and make sure I get amazing service...and I always get a great deal on pricing. I always get so much for my buck - other places I'd have to go 3-4 times to b4 I get the color I get here in just 1 visit. I bought a month long tanning package a couple weeks ago as I was looking to get a decent tan started for the summer. My experience with Uvasun has been great! The employees have been nothing but nice and knowledgeable. My package includes the stand up bed and one that's lay down - I've been rotating between both and I've been super happy with my results. The rooms are always clean and so are the beds. There are plenty of bathrooms, areas to get ready, and showers. They have a lot of amenities which makes this salon worth the price. It is a bit on the pricier side, but not having to sign a contract and get sucked into a year long membership is ideal for my lifestyle.
