Excellent Care, Personalized Serice, Great facility - if you need physiotherapy this is the place…read moreto go! Hopefully you live in the area so you can attend this clinic for first class care! Not only will you receive excellent hands on care, you will build a relationship with your physiotherapist that allows you to move quickly into recovery and start acheiving your fitness & health goals. David & Mark will keep you motivated, encourage you during your recovery time and educate you on how your body works. After attending a different physiotherapy clinic for several months I was not seeing the desired recovery results with my injury - so I searched around and came across Physiofit. I'm so glad I did. The physiotherapy I had been receiving invovled 3 visits / wk, performing a circuit of excercises that never really changed or weren't specific to MY injury but rather the excercises to any person with difficulties in that part of the body. My physiotherapist / kinesiologist would talk to me, every few weeks maybe spend 2 minutes 'examining' me. I'd spend a little time on the ultrasound / tens machine or icing/heating the injury... that was it. No progress in my recovery was very frustrating... Enter Physiofit! My first visit was to the old office, a smaller office that didn't have a large facility for working out - but it was big enough to accomodate the clients present. I was surprised that my appointment slot was MINE, and not shared with 20 other people who were there to 'do excercises'. The initial assessment was very extensive, I felt like they really cared about understanding and helping me overcome my injury and get back in the game. The following appointments all included one-on-one time with the physiotherapist Dave / Mark where they worked with me, taking a hands on approach to assisting in the recovery. Each appointment included a hands on assessment of my injury / overall well being and when necessary paired with instruction / review of ongoing excercises catered to strengthening muscle groups to further my recovery. The new clinic on Rhodes drive provides an excellent opportunity for additional services and tailored care to each client. This clinic boasts additional examination rooms, a larger area to work out on / stretch as well as additional equipment that can be modified and used for various strength training or conditioning excercises. Both Mark and Dave are able to work with you in reaching your fitness and / or recovery goals. The location is central in Windsor, right off the expressway - so really quick to get to no matter where you are coming from. Plenty of parking. Flexible hours and the best care you could ask for. Good luck in your recovery, head to this clinic and be confident they will do their very best to accomodate and assist you in whatever your needs are.

I did not have success here, however, I know a few people who have, and recommended this place to…read moreme or someone I know. Each of them only had 1 injury to heal, whereas I had/have 3 significant injuries that need advanced treatment and expertise, as they effect each other and are complicated by neuromuscular issues. Their way of doing things is like most places where they juggle a few clients each hour, which can result in you waiting for help or a new exercise, but I appreciated my physiotherapist's bed side manner. The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, and personable, but I found it distracting, and at times off-putting, when some would gossip with each other or with my physio as I'm getting worked on. They do have a good reputation here, and an excellent little facility, so definitely worth trying them out. I learned a lot from them! It just wasn't the right fit for me and my conditions.

DO NOT TRUST THIS CLINIC. As as retired person who worked in the medical field for 30 years, I can…read morehonestly say this was the most unprofessional medical setting I've ever seen. First visit, I asked Elias (head PT) questions which he didn't answer, saying "I'll explain that another time". He gave me one exercise to do at home, which after a few days hurt so much, I stopped doing it because it made my pain worse. 2nd visit, an intern (I THINK he was an intern, he didn't greet me or tell me anything) started to put something on my neck and I stopped him to ask "Are you putting that on me?" and he nodded, so I said "You need to tell me what you're going to do, please, before you do it". I literally never heard him say anything, he set the timer and walked away so I had to ask "how long?" As I was sitting there, I could hear Elias who was about 20 feet away from me 'talking' to his staff, there was a privacy curtain around them, apparently doing a training session(?) and I could plainly hear him actually yelling and swearing at them because they weren't doing it right!! He was talking super loud, saying "You press like this, hard, NO! Against the bone, NO, HERE!" and now and then he'd yell "Holy shit!" and "OH MY GOD!!" and other obscenities, which I would definitely characterize as bullying, abuse, or both. Seriously, I believe he should be reported for his treatment of the staff, whether he is being overheard by a client or not, that is just wrong! I literally got up and walked out then, in the middle of the appointment, because there is no way I was putting my health in the hands of someone so unprofessional and crass. I cannot understand all the good reviews on here, and frankly, I don't think they are real. Don't put your health in their hands, I think the only person who cared that I was upset was the lovely receptionist, who I told on my way out that I'd never seen such unprofessional and bad behaviour in my life. In spite of walking out like that, Elias didn't call me to apologize for swearing in front of a client. WHAT. A. CRAZY. EXPERIENCE! Go anywhere but here.

It seems like others have had nothing but nice things to say and great experiences, so it's…read moreunfortunate that I ran into the issue that I did. Before I go over my situation, I want to say that the staff here are truly fabulous, they are very outgoing, kind, and make you feel welcome, which is why this whole situation for me is even more upsetting. So, I have been having serious leg/back issues since November of 2018, and they came out of absolutely nowhere. I was originally diagnosed with a 'pinched sciatic nerve' as I had literally every single symptom of it, except that it was not responding to the medication I was prescribed to get rid of it. Anyways, my MD sent me here for physio, which I actually enjoyed going to due to the pleasant atmosphere. After a few visits, it did seem like nobody knew for certain what to do for my issue, but I was still hopeful given it only being a few weeks. We tried numerous things and nothing really seemed to help, and finally after a couple months of physio, the physiotherapist pulled me into his office to discuss how this is likely pain caused by my brain, which is causing all of my issues. In fewer words or less, there wasn't any serious issue, and the physiotherapist said I needed to get more exercise, eat more vegetables, do deep breathing, and more positive thinking in order to get rid of the issues I was having. Obviously, I left EXTREMELY upset, frustrated, and confused, as this is something that is seriously ruining my day to day life, relationships, and not to mention, my extremely physically demanding job. I ended up never going back, as you can imagine my frustration. I went to a massage therapist who didn't do much unfortunately, and then decided my last option was a chiropractor. The reason I never tried a chiropractor before, was actually due to the fact that everyone said they would make me worse, INCLUDING the physiotherapist. Thankfully, I decided to go see a reputable chiropractor in my area, and am grateful I did. Within 5 minutes of feeling my spine and hips, he detected that my Sacroiliac joint is popped out of place (and has been since November) which is what is causing all the pain. He then sent me for a Lumbar Spine Xray to see if that may also be causing some issues, which came back showing I have a mild case of scoliosis in my lower spine, and degenerative disk disease. Unfortunately, due to this being undiagnosed for 5 MONTHS, the inflammation is bad, and the recovery will be a while, though I am very grateful I finally know what this truly is, even knowing it will likely impact the rest of my life. I would hope the physiotherapist did in fact do what he could, though I also can't help but feel the situation was handled unprofessionally, and if he truly didn't know what was wrong, he should have referred me to someone who did. Like I said, I found all the staff members very kind and enjoyed my time there, though hope nobody has the unfortunate experience I did.
