She had me come in a few days before the event to figure out what color extensions to buy, and she picked a color that matched seamlessly. For the record, I wanted red that would have made me look like Ronald McDonald had she listened to me and done what I wanted. She colored my hair, highlighting, adding tone, dimension, depth, magic, mermaid tears and unicorn smiles. When she w as done I couldn't get over what my hair looked like. There truly is a difference between seeing a stylist and seeing an artist. Andrea Ippolito is an artist. I didn't walk out of her salon, I floated out on a cloud of sexy vibes. I went out with a friend that night and he said 'tell Andrea she hit a home run.' Fast forward a week later, the color is still fresh, sexy, glamorous and I am GRATEFUL I listened to her and that she advised me to let her do the right thing with my hair. I am so happy!!!!!! I've been getting my hair done here for the past 3 years (ever since I've been a redhead) and I used to be totally thrilled with my hair every time I left. I also get the same thing done to my hair every single month (color, roots, and a trim every 3-4 months) However, in the past few months, I've noticed that my color is not as great as it used to be and I brought it to my stylists' attention. She did offer to fix it when I brought it up, but it still didn't turn out the way I'd hoped. The only thing that disappoints me more than 'eh color' is the excuses she makes every month when I come in and I tell her about the color. "Oh, it must be the water you shower in" or "Oh it never takes the same way twice" or "Oh it must be your cycle." Every month the excuses get more and more crazy and 3 months later (and about 5 tries later), I still don't have the color I want. Plus I had a shoot on Saturday and one of the photos clearly shows my roots which were done only 2 weeks ago! That was the last straw for me. I'm sorry, but I think this is goodbye.

I happened to find my stylist's (Rasheeda) page on IG and hoped it would be worth the drive. Ladies, it was well worth it! The stylists were all very friendly, I actually enjoyed the hair wash (I NEVER enjoy getting my hair washed btw), and as a first Rasheeda actually seemed interested in not only getting my hair done but my overall hair care practices and health of my hair. She made sure to offer hair maintenance tips without having to be prompted and took her time to ensure my hair was impeccable. I wasn't looking for a new stylist per se, but I will definitely be back!
