Julie did a full face of makeup, including contour and lashes. She knew the exact look I was going for...a deeper, darker slightly smokey eye and a pale lip. A nice warm fall look that made my green eyes pop. She made me feel so so sooooo beautiful! My skin was flawless and so soft!! My husband truly melted. I was so excited to see him, I felt like it was our wedding day all over again! It was pure joy. I told him I never felt prettier. It pained me to wash her work off. In fact, shhhhh....I left my eye makeup on for another day. Julie told me every product she used, gave me all sorts of insider tips: for makeup, skin, and more! She's seriously an expert on all things to make you feel and look your absolute best! No questions were off limits! She's totally rad & easy to talk to, and I loved gabbing about friends we have in common. Julie secures lashes using her own special technique, and while these types normally don't last too long in general, because of her skills, I was able to kept them on for almost a week, my entire anniversary trip! I will most certainly be making an appointment for that now that it's almost a good time to hibernate, although she said there's no downtime, rather it's just best if you're out of the direct sun. Julie hosts adorable kiddie virtual makeup classes and hosts parties! What a fun idea and a great way for your little girl to celebrate from afar during these crazy times! Julie will hands down be my go-to girl for almost everything now! She's referred me to many other specialists and gave me her links for discounts! She's seriously the best! She broke our contract and went silent the night before our large Indian family wedding on August 30th., in King of Prussia, PA. I texted her the night before with my hotel room number, and she never replied. Trusting she'd be professional, I waited until 5:00 AM the next morning (I had to be ready at 7 AM) -- she never showed. I sent five texts and made multiple calls on August 30 and again on September 2, with no response. She finally replied on September 11 with an unprofessional excuse, claiming her assistant didn't save the date, even though she had personally confirmed our appointment on June 13 and accepted two Venmo payments. Anyone who claims to be "highly professional" should also provide accurate invoices and contracts, yet I had to ask her twice to fix errors in both before the event. I had to request my own refund, which shows poor professionalism and bad faith. Do not risk your event -- book someone reliable.

Photoshoot late, event schedule had to be rescheduled - thankfully the venue staff accommodated. But here's the worst of it all - she argued for me to pay the balance in the middle of us doing the event entrance! I asked her to wait just a few minutes and she started shouting insults. Then the police had to come and a guest ended up paying. Embarrassing and unprofessional. Everyone should know she's a total fraud and gets verbal diarrhea if she doesn't get her way. I have some personal…read moreideas about makeup + me, like, for example, that I don't think foundation looks "right" on me, and I don't think I have lips made for wearing lipstick. It's just not me. I can't count how many times I've been pressured into wearing foundation when I.Don't.Wear.Foundation. It makes me look completely crazy, and I hate it. Veronica was the FIRST mua that didn't pressure me into it... In fact, she actually agreed with me that I look better without it. THANK YOU!! I'm not crazy!! I first heard about her through Anju (of AnjuThreads), who was hosting Veronica at her threading salon as one of her summer pop-up events. I was celebrating my birthday the week before the event, but figured that if Anju liked her, I would to. AND I LIKE HER! She came to my apartment and got me ready for my birthday with a gorgeous purple smoky eye. I was a complete mess that day because a billion things were going on, including the venue for my party changing 3 times in a day, and the built-in shelves I installed over my bed fell ON TO MY BED while I was at work (and thank god, not in bed), but Veronica was completely calming. I'm not really a makeup wearing girl. During my trial, I had trouble getting used to the lipsticks Veronica tried and the amount of eye makeup- I seriously have issues with makeup! She was so understanding and said she appreciated my honesty. We worked through some other options and I'm so glad that I chose Veronica to work with!
