The "ahh.."roma in a bike shop, that combination of tires and bike grease is still intoxicating even though my road biking days are in my rearview due to a combination of age and smarts (I mean, if I was still biking it wouldn't be on road anymore given drivers and traffic) and progressive CNS illness. But I needed another pair of bike gloves because the stainless rims on my titanium wheelchair (my current distance mode of travel) get cold in winter months and I needed a full finger style with good grip. It was serendipity to spy Kore as I was walking back to my car from breakfast at Terri's (I recommend it) a couple doors down and I decided to pop in and see what they had. The young man working there was so helpful and I found exactly what I needed. I don't think he is the owner but he works like he owns the business (that is high praise) and we talked about the mountain bikes and e bikes they had and trends in local biking. As my husband and I entered a customer was picking up their bike that had been repaired and they were really happy with the outcome. The store also has a big selection of boards. LOCATION: In one of Meridian's many poorly laid out strip malls with terrible (too tight spacing) parking lots, you might not know it was there unless you knew it was there. Worth finding if you're looking for a bike or board! ACCESSIBILITY: Level in from the walkway, plenty of clear floor space to register. But this parking lot is so out of compliance for ADA mere minimums (that is not this shop owner's issue but the mall owner's issue) and the only curb ramp to get over the curb for the entire layout is with the two spots down by Terri's breakfast and lunch restaurant. read more

I walked my bike in after having problems with my back brake after installing new resin pads. My kid was on the hunt for a skateboard. I have no knowledge about skateboards. So I used Google to find skateboard shops around me. It give me like 3 options and we choose to go here. I must say the experience was good. I wish I had gotten the name of the gentleman who helped my daughter. He broke it down to her on what board is what and the level of experience my child has. He helped her find the right skateboard for her level of experience and comfort. She was very excited to get her 1st skateboard and it happened to be a long board to help her get comfortable riding and when she gets the skill down she can move on to the other type of skateboard to start doing tricks and such. Very cool shop. Very nice people, and it's great to have an Intense dealer so close. I give 3 stars for a couple reasons - Overall I noted a lack of attention to detail with their service/ repair shop. One example- After service I had last season (this is a delayed review - when looking for a shop for service today I remembered this experience), one of my tubeless tires was flat within a few hours of bringing it home. Long story short, I brought it back in and had to leave it again. Turned out the mechanic did not set the valve properly. That's a small rant but my biggest heartburn with this shop is that they didn't carry a lick of women's riding apparel. From what I understand they still don't, but I haven't been back to look. The women's mtb community is stronger than ever (has been for a long time), and it's shameful to not reflect that by the merchandise they sell. Please do better and please feel free to correct me if there's now women's gear up on the racks. Thanks. read more

Great customer service and bike service on repairs. The Ryan the owner and his shop crew were great. They did not try to sell me parts I didn't need and made it a point to show me what repairs were actually needed. They back up their work. Definitely will go back for any future repairs. First I will admit I did not purchase anything from Ryan. I called him based on all the fantastic Yelp reviews to see if he offered any hybrid bikes. Ryan answered the phone and gave me a lot of helpful advice. He also offered if I had ideas of what I wanted, he could try and see what he could get through his distribution channels (there is a real shortage on hybrid bikes right now with everyone exercising on their own during these shelter in place orders). Sooooo happy to have a local shop that caters to Freeriding/Downhilling! Ryan, one of the owners has been so awesome to me in helping me find a bike that is perfect for me. Really down to earth people who just want everyone to have fun no matter what level of riding they are at. Not like the vibe you get from some of these other bike shops... Just to speak a bit about the bikes they sell... The "Intense" bikes are plush! I demo'd their M16 full carbon and it was a blast. Such a quiet bike and so solid on the jumps, turns, and through the rock gardens. I put it to the full test to riding Rally Cat, Drop Kick, and Double Down at Canyons Bike Park. The only negative is that they are in Meridian and I live in Eagle, haha. I just wish they were closer for my own selfish purposes. Lastly, I'll just say that this isn't just a bike shop. They have a riding team of varying ages. They help out at the Eagle Bike Park, and they have done a bunch of work with the trails at Tamarack. Truly doing positive things for the community.
