Dr. Quinn and her staff are lifesavers! I have been struggling for months with knee pain and my HMO wouldn't do anything for two fully torn meniscus. After receiving a recommendation from a co-worker I got on the website and put in my information for an appointment. I got a call within a few minutes ( I am sure that is not the norm but yay for me and my knees.). I was told they had a cancellation for the following day and was able to get an appointment right away. That same night I was emailed information about the patient portal and filled out a ton of questionnaires - that would be my only complaint- I felt like some of those questionnaires were for other procedures offered, which I was not getting. The office was clean and Devon and Dr. Quinn were very professional, but also incredibly empathetic to the pain I was in before sure and after the procedure. I appreciated the time that Dr. Quinn took to explain everything she saw on my MRI and what she was going to do, was doing and finally what I could expect after the procedure. I have received treatment by Dr. Quinn and her staff twice now and I cannot be happier!! She injected my bilateral elbows last fall. 2 weeks ago I traveled from Las Vegas and stayed in Golden to do a number of treatments with Dr. Quinn. IV's, Aesthetics (Botox and Fillers), PRP needling, labs, and most importantly, transferring stem cells to my damaged hip and torn rotator cuff. Dr. Quinn was magnificent in all levels--first off, her excitement for me to do "all her favorite things" (I highly recommend this package to EVERYONE), along with the fact that for most things done here we are using our own body to heal. How cool is that? Will have an update in 6-8 weeks re the stem cells. And the stem cells (the real reason why I came to Golden), deserves it's own review and glory. For now, I can say that my face from the Vampire facial quickly improved texture and even a radiance. I now understand the hype in 90210 regarding this treatment. And yes, I will be doing this again with Dr. Quinn. As far as the IV treatments go, I had 3 different IVs throughout the course of the week. A Myers cocktail, an amino IV, and finally the grand dame of them all-NAD. Side note, had NAD shots all days I didn't do the IV. Immediate results with clarity (definitely work of the NAD). I've been in the medical world as a "complex patient" for 20 years with numerous body systems affected, a dozen surgeries, and countless procedures - needless to say, I've been around the block in medicine and have had hundreds of appointments with various types of doctors so I'm able to compare a wide variety of experiences. First and foremost, Dr. Quinn and her staff are simply amazing. They are helpful, open, honest, make you feel welcome, and truly care about you; beyond just another patient. I started with Dr. Quinn doing NAD+ infusions to detox off opioids after being on them for pain management for over a decade. I did 2 weeks of NAD+ and Ketamine and was able to go from 75mcg fentanyl patch to no opioids in that time. It helped me to taper fast while curbing the withdrawals, but it also helped my brain function. I've since done a few NAD+ infusions because of the effect its had on my brain. I feel more alert, it's easier to concentrate, my brain fog is lifted instantly after the infusion and the effects last beyond just the infusion. I would highly recommend NAD+ to help anyone going through withdrawals (both opioid and other meds - it also helped me with diamox withdrawals), but also just for anyone - it will sharpen your focus, lift you out of a cloud of fog, and help you feel energized. Dr. Jordanna Quinn is today's Dr. Patch Adams and, like Dr. Patch Adams, Dr. Quinn is simultaneously fun, engaging, energetic, and professional. She develops compassionate connections with her patients, using humor, too, to accelerate/achieve physical and emotional health. Simply put, I can talk to Dr. Quinn, and Dr. Quinn actually listens. What a novel concept!?! With Dr. Quinn, I feel that I'm a part of the treatment process, instead of being apart from it. Instead of prescribing a treatment for me, Dr. Quinn offers suggestions/choices/options, and she solicits a mutual discussion about those options. For unrelenting shoulder pain, I was referred to the Orthopedist within my PPO's Physicians group. I was told by the Orthopedist that it was cortisone or surgery, and without soliciting any input from me the Orthopedist concluded it was to be a cortisone injection to my shoulder. Since to a previous cortisone injection I had passed out, another cortisone injection to my shoulder was a non-option. The Physician, though, would not approve any other option, and my query about other forms of treatment fell on deaf ears. After hearing rather unique and unusually positive accolades about a Physician in Golden Colorado whose expertise was in rehabilitating sports injuries, my investigative curiosity was picked: hence, my appointment with Dr. Quinn. We discussed various treatment possibilities, including a cortisone injection. Ultimately, we decided on PRP. Yes, the treatment involved an injection to my shoulder, for which I was not thrilled. Dr. Quinn assured me, though, that she was pretty damn good with the procedure, and that, while the procedure would not be painless, it would be pretty close to it. You know what? I believed her. Why? Because Dr. Quinn didn't merely brush aside my reticence to the injection, by either rolling her eyes (overtly or covertly) or by offering me empty words of encouragement. Instead, I felt that she both heard and understood just how deep and pervasive my reticence went. The bottom line? Dr. Quinn was right about the injection. It was, in fact, relatively close to being painless. Dr. Quinn was wrong, though, or at least partially wrong, about one thing. I was told that I'd receive up to about 85% recovery with a single injection (or series of injections). At about six weeks post-injection, I was, in fact, at about 85%. Now, several years post that single injection, I'm at 100% and can't recall which shoulder it was that I previously had unrelenting pain.
