I somehow dine at Korean Village once every couple of years, perhaps due to the limited AYCE Korean BBQ places in Edmonton and that Korean Village is more affordable. Their selection is quite limited but they have all the essential items that are fairly fresh. However, I've had bad experiences here. When the staff lowered the grill temperature so it took longer to cook the meat, it didn't feel good, especially given that their time limit is shorter than other places. Moreover, when the staff urged us to eat more rice instead of meat, it just felt bad. I really like this place! My boyfriend and I came here on valentines out of a spur of the moment thing. We love kbbq but it's very expensive here in Edmonton, and there are only two in the city. It's located in an inconspicuous (weird if you ask me) spot, in a neighbourhood in front of a school. Parking wasn't that difficult to get. Upon arriving we waited 10 minutes for our reservation and we got seated. The vibe and atmosphere of this place is very family-run-authentic. The meats are served buffet style and you grab your own drinks from the soda fountain. Sides of lettuce, salad (my personal fave- amazing vinaigrette to cut the meat), kimchi, bean sprouts, etc. There were also a few variety of fried items. My favorite was the shrimp chips. They also have fried rice but no white rice. Which leads me to my next point-- Service: AMAZING!! One of the older ladies saw my boyfriend and I mixing our fried rice and kimchi to make kimchi fried rice. She asked if we wanted some sesame oil and seaweed to put into our fried rice to make it more bokkeum-bap!! She came back with a bottle of sesame oil and mixed it in for us. The only downsides: They put a piece of parchment paper over the grill which kind of absorbs all the juice. The selection of meat is very limited as well. For 2 people not including our alcohol, it came to about $75 for AYCE. Not too bad considering it's the only other kbbq place in town. Will definitely be regulars! read more

One of the smaller, older Korean restaurants in town - but also one of the few all you can eat BBQ restaurants that I'm aware of. I really like the type of grill they use here since it doesn't stick as bad as your regular grill that needs to be changed during your meal (ours stayed pretty clean during the night). The big fans are pretty intensive and it managed to keep the restaurant relatively smoke and smell free, as best as it could. The grill items are set up buffet style and you serve yourself - the beef and lamb were our favourites. There is also a small section of vegetables to grill and then a section with lettuce for wrapping, banchan (kimchi, daikon, bean sprouts) and on the other side, a section of hot food that was mostly fried food - spring rolls, etc. They bring you the rice in a metal bowl and you can ask for refills of that directly from the servers. The food is good, it's a fun experience and it's pretty reasonably priced. It's definitely not a "let's go every weekend" spot, but it's delicious once in a while! read more

It's not really bbq because it's cooked on a pan with parchment paper. I found everything took long to cook and was soggy if you had vegetables. The selection was very small with only about a few meats, a couple of veggies and a little hot food. I was disappointed that there was no white rice but some very greasy fried rice instead. There was only two sauces which were so watered down that it had no flavour. I really wanted to like this place but I just couldn't. Especially not for the price of $45/person. Went to this gem with a few pals this past weekend. It's 35 or 40$ all you can eat buffet, within a 90 minute window. Great grub, stupendous service. A little crampt in there but not the worst I've seen. You cook your food on the table on a grill, which is a unique experience, at least in my experience. I guess if you start with bacon, your going to have a better time, as far as food sticking to the grill goes. The grease helps. I would try to avoid wasting any food as the place charges you if you do. I think this is a no brainer though. Don't stack your plate up with more food than you can eat, pretty simple Anyways, the disgrace that was my motley crew of friends and me had a great time. I recommend this place! Maybe bring a wheel barrel to wheel home anyone in a food coma. read more

My favourite K-BBQ place in the city! This offset family run joint never disappoints. The service is always great and delivered with a smile. The selection of meats is great. I especially like the short ribs and lamb. The homemade prawn chips are super tasty as well. They also have a selection of Korean beer to try as well. The best part about this place is that it is self serve buffet style. You can take however much of whatever you like! Don't miss out on the kimchi... it's delish. If you have any room left there's also ice cream. This place won't disappoint. The price point is also very good value for what you get. read more

If you want to get rip off and food poisoning this is the place to go, it's a 2 for 1 guaranteed!!!! -Poor quality of meat, the meat seasoning is less then average, they probably use the seasoning to hide the taste of the meat that have been out on the counter for to long. The kimchi was way too fermented, their sauce tasted like they were passed due. They can't even cook rice properly. Their spring roll is like chewing a raw garlic clove. They obviously don't wash the vegetables we had to clean the mushroom our self before we put them on the grill. -Everything have a wax taste to in since they use a wax sheet over the grill instead of using regular oil like any other place in town. -NOTHING from this place justify the 37$ per person. Not the food, not the service, not even the location! Not to mention, as soon as I started complaining about their food and over pricing the lady litterly turned her back and left. VERY UNPROFFESSIONAL!!! Never again!!! Might as well go on 97 for better quality and variety read more

just delicious... the bbq gets right to the point when it comes to korean food. They don't have the variety like ginseng, but their selection is sufficient enough to hit the spot. I notice a lot of buffet have "filler" items that don't appeal to me but the bbq is all meat and that's what I am there for. Yummy read more

This place is a hidden gem. I ate here forever ago around 2005 and it's still terrific - I've been coming ever since and bringing newcomers who are always impressed. PROs - great homemade kimchi, great selection of meats, fun in-table grill, (non-alcoholic) drinks included in the buffet, iced cream included too, delicious fried appetizers and salad (also included, of course), sushi-restaurant-style rooms for larger groups, if you don't know what you're doing they will help you. CONs - you will smell a bit BBQ-ish after, but this could be considered a pro, too. Not great for vegetarians. We've brought picky kids here and people who don't like spicy food, and everyone left full. They clearly take pride in their food here and it is always the focus. They also have a menu with other dishes (although I've never bothered looking at it) and lots of parking. And it's next to a Korean grocery store, if you wanted to try Korean cooking at home. read more

This is a really decent AYCE Korean BBQ restaurant in Edmonton. My friend has eaten here for long time and makes recommendation to me. Meat is fresh and tasty, and the ice cream is a nice ending of the meal. The owner is a very nice lady, and she is so helpful. If you are into Korean BBQ, you should check it out. read more
