I came here recently for dinner and had a filling meal. It's located in a small strip mall and has a more hole in the wall type of vibe. Service was friendly and welcoming. There were hand sanitizers on a table near the front entrance and everyone was wearing masks. For food, we tried the: - Spicy seafood noodle soup: This was my fave dish and very flavourful. I quite enjoyed the spiciness - Black bean noodles (jajangmyun): Pretty standard dish at any Korean restaurant. Good but nothing extraordinary - Fried pork in fruit sauce: this was okay. The pork got a little soggy after awhile and it wasn't that crispy. Fruit tasted warm and soggy after awhile too and wasn't that good Overall it was a decent meal and the atmosphere was very homey. It's not the best Korean restaurant out there since there wasn't anything too special about their menu, but the food isn't bad!

I love Korean food and whenever I get an invitation to go for Korean food, I never say no. So when I was invited to come here for dinner, I was quite excited! Especially since I have never tried this place before. When I first got here, I noticed that the restaurant was located in a very modest strip where you would not even suspect a Korean restaurant to be. I love finding places like these especially when the food is delicious! When I entered the restaurant, there was alot of Korean people seated. That to me was a very good sign. lol. Taking a look at the menu, I noticed that there was definitely a wide variety of traditional Korean dishes YUM. So we ordered the Nu Rung Ji tang Udong, which is a seafood, mixed vegetable noodle soup with rice cake. Then we ordered the Family Jajang dish which is a pan friend noodles with pork and dark soybean sauce. To add something spicey to our order we got the spicey deep fried squid. When the dishes came out I was so impressed with the portions. The bowls and plates were heaping with food!!! it definitely was good to feedall three of us. These dishes are for sure to share! So do keep that in mind when ordering. The food itself tasted delicious and I was super impressed. We left feeling satisfied and I am definitely coming back again.

My favourite Korean spot in the city. The food: always amazing, always very fresh. My personal favourite is the black bean noodles but their spicy seafood soup is also amazing. The service: always very fast and our servers are also very polite. Highly recommend here. Extremely consistent service.

This was an impromptu visit on a Friday evening. We stopped by around 6pm and was happy to see 2 tables that were available. The restaurant was not small, maybe about 15 tables of 4 or so? The restaurant was not anything fancy but it was clean and comfortable chairs. I am always on the lookout to try a new Korean place in town and even better when it's on the south side. They are also about a few blocks from Southgate Mall. I ordered the Jjam Bbong, a spicy seafood noodle soup for $14, I was very pleased with the portion size of noodles, 2 mussels, shrimp and 3 crab legs. I find that I take heat quite well but man this dish took my breath away! It was full of flavor and very spicy (the good kind). I think the next time I come back, I will take a group of 4 at least to sample all the other tasty things on the menu. I saw a lot of impressive dishes coming from the kitchen to our nearby tables.

Good seafood Jjamppong! They put lots of seafood even including a whole crab. We also had a basic jjajangmen, which was okay. Tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork) has fruit topping, which is unusual but pretty--somewhat unnecessary frills in this particular plate. Their Tangsuyuk is good as it is. We brought some leftover Tangsuyuk home and they were still tasty even after a night in the fridge. They serve very unique fragrant tea on the house. I miss the tea. Good service. The washroom is surprisingly clean and good compare to the restaurant's size and aesthetic in the hall.

The spicy seafood noodle soup is really spicy and there is crab in it, very big size. Jjajangmyeo is good too! Love the fried pork with fresh fruit sauce.

The food has a good quality and portion. But I would say most of the menu items are overpriced.

My family has been eating here for a few years and I even celebrated my 25th wedding anniversary here. Alex and the rest of the staff ensures all the customers are well taken care of. He had heart balloons and flowers for our table which made the occasion even more special. The food is fabulous, the peaches and shrimp dish is so good as well as the beef with Gai lan and the tofu assorted vegetable hot pot. Noodles and desserts are great as well! We have tried so many dishes here it is hard to name them all. This restaurant is also on SkipTheDishes and with my referral, my office has ordered on several occasions. Everyone was very happy with their lunch choices! Excellent food and service, prices are very reasonable and if this restaurant was closer to my home, we would be eating her all the time!

Huge change from the dark paint and warehouse styling from the previous AYCE sushi place. They have divided the space nicely including a large private room. It also helps that YEG's notorious Boyle St Co-op, formerly next door, has been raised to the ground, thus moving the hardcore zombies a few blocks north. You can actually park your vehicle safely in their free lot now, for up to 2 hours. Security is watching and even checks in with you when you park. As for the food, in my experience it's all been great! The menu is a funny combo of different cuisines, definitely befitting the name "bistro". There are a variety of asian dishes (Chinese, Japanese, Thai), HK-style foods and very traditional western cuisine like beef bourguignon. That one intrigues me, super old school and looks really good. There are also some set menus that come with drinks. It's one of the few places I feel spoiled for interesting selection, hard to make a choice. Chinatown Dining Week has brought me back here three times in as many weeks, got hooked by the beef and sour veg steamed in a lotus wrap. This visit my husband got the gyukatsu set, which was really good if you can live with slightly sweet Glico-style curry. The omurice was perfect. Their katsu particularly is really, really good, better than your average schnitzel, and much cheaper! Have been back a few times and even brought the extended family. There's something for everyone! Everything we've tried has been tasty, fresh and a generous portion. Previously we tried the bistro premium fried rice which had scallops and tobiko, delicious. My food-restricted niece tried the crispy shrimp appy, which were really tasty and more like prawn-size. Not sure she got many back after offering to share with the table. Ah Chinatown. Been coming here my whole life but always get the side-eye, usually from the owner, until ordering. The experience wouldn't be the same without it. The other staff were more genuinely friendly and happy the food was enjoyed. One01Bistro is officially a new family favourite, especially before events at Rogers Place. Psst also... cheap beer.

We had the family dinner for 4 - Sweet and Sour Chicken, Crispy Ginger Beef, Mixed Vegetables w/Garlic, Spring Rolls (4) and Chicken fried Rice. The sweet and sour chicken batter was dry and the chicken inside was stringy. The crispy ginger beef was not crispy but chewy and lacked beef. Spring rolls had good flavour but spent a bit too much time in the fryer. The chicken fried rice was bland. The only dish that was good wsa the mixed vegetables with garlic. Perfectly cooked and very flavourful. Also they didn't send sauces. Next take out night i will take my business somewhere else.

We quickly grabbed a new set where multiple sets were ready for distribution when neccessary. As Asians, we generally wash all of our bowls and utensils prior using as our practice with hot water or tea (depending on what you ask for). Food - 4/5. The chicken casserole was flavourful, just a lot of bones. The beef was very soft and tender. The sweet and sour pork chops had a thick tangy sauce but good that it had a light batter around the meat, which kept the meat moist. The chicken is the typical dish you can get at most Chinese restaurants. It was interesting that it actually sat in a soy sauce base. The ginger sauce is missing the typical green onions. However, it was seasoned quite well. I didn't take a picture of dessert though. It was red bean with glutinous rice sweet soup. I actually quite enjoyed it. Overall: 3.5/5. It's an ok place to try if you are in the area. It's has free parking. Just be vigilent with the bowls and utensils.
