The CBH donair was honestly really good. The meat was super tender and full of flavour, and the wrap itself came together really well. The buffalo chicken wrap was also a standout -- perfectly cooked, really flavourful, and not overly spicy which I appreciated. The dry ribs were a classic. Nothing super unique, but still very tasty and well seasoned. Same with the hot wings -- no complaints there, just a solid, classic wing. The only disappointment food-wise was the brisket poutine. It was a little sad and felt quite dry, like the elements didn't really come together the way a good poutine should. Unfortunately, we also found a small piece of a broken toothpick in the poutine, which could have been really bad if it hadn't been noticed. That said, the staff handled it really well. Our server was very kind and quick to address the issue. She checked in regularly and still managed to have a friendly chat with us even while the place was busy. The manager, Ethan, was also very apologetic and handled the situation professionally. He even took one of our wing orders off the bill so we only had to pay for one, which we appreciated. As for the atmosphere, the decor is definitely a bit dated. The tables have visible wear marks and the carpet looks pretty used. But it still has that classic sports bar vibe, and there's lots to look at around the restaurant which adds to the atmosphere. We were greeted by the same waitress, Jo-Jo, who had served us previously. She remembered us and even pointed out the table where we sat during our last visit. Her energetic and welcoming demeanor set a fantastic tone for our meal. We ordered Bellinis and asked for assistance with specific dietary requirements, specifically a request for no salt. Our waitress was incredibly accommodating. She arranged for the chicken breast and prawns on the Joe's House Salad to be prepared without salt or spices, with the peanut lime dressing served on the side. My Jerk Chicken Wrap was also excellent. Everything was prepared perfectly to our liking, and the staff even kept our take-out pizza warm while we were detained a bit.
