After looking thru various sites we found this was very close and decided to head over (dragging the boy). When we arrived we found this was located on the first floor of a local hotel. They have a very good local menu and were also accommodating to the children (special kids menu). They also have a great wine and beer menu. I had a wonderful wild boar chop with a great local beer called Bogedal. FYI, its severed in a 750ml bottle. It was fantastic. My wife had scallops with a wonderful glass of chardonnay and my son opted out of the kids menu and had a 300g steak! Was a great spot of have dinner and relax after visiting LEGOLAND.

It turned out to be one of the best meals we had in Denmark. The staff was super friendly, and the owner and chef were both around to talk to. They even had a few small toys and some drawing materials for our four year old to stay occupied. My salmon appetizer was delicious, and my wife thoroughly enjoyed the fresh shrimp. She finished with a fish dish that left her quite impressed. And my entrée was a pork belly that left me wanting to lick the plate clean. If you are in Vejle and have the time for a nice sit-down meal, this is absolutely my first choice of where to eat. I hope they thrive.

The taste of the meat is really good. I took the ribeye which was tasteful and very juicy. The meal was very filling so you should consider taking a starter or not. There are many funny details in this restaurant. They have their own knives and pepermills. There is a towel on a hook under the table. Last is the way to order. You fill in a paper with your table and wishes for your piece of meat. This to make sure your piece is cooked as you like it.
