I have experienced several reiki practitioners before Tulsi, and none of them spent as much time with me outside the actual reiki session. After being unhappy with failed attempts at traditional therapists, I decided this past January to reach out to Tulsi for her life coaching services. I wanted someone that I felt like spoke "my language," and I have found that with Tulsi. She understands the mind, body, spirit connection. So far, I have had 7 sessions with her that have been specifically designed for my needs. These sessions have included meditation, hypnotherapy, coaching, and reiki. Again, the thing that stands out to me the most about Tulsi is the amount of time she spends with me during each session. She also follows up each session with an email detailing the things we discussed and how I can further my healing on my own time. Tulsi thinks about all of the small things. She gives me the tools I need to continue my therapy at home. I have spent many years trying to gain emotional and mental stability through traditional therapy and prescription drugs. I have found that I feel a hundred times better using more holistic methods. Tulsi's spirit is warm and inviting and is is obvious that her work is her soul's passion. She puts in so much positive energy into every small detail. I am so grateful that I found Tulsi to guide me through the healing process and developing habits that will benefit me for the rest of my life. I highly recommend The Anubhuti to anyone looking to find peace and happiness.

She understands your skeptism and welcomes it because beyond the actual practice she talks you through everything she is doing, She makes the atmosphere condusive to allowing a healing process to take place with a soothing background music and nice aromic oils and candles. She doesn't push you, she talks to you. You always feel like you are in good hands. I have also had the pleasure of going through a yoga class with her and again she uses the same philosophy there. You feel like she really wants you to get everyhting out of the experience but she never pushes, just guides. Ultimately you get the general feeling she gives a crap about you and your well being, instead of just sanctifying the purity of the process. Literally I have been to some Hilter-esque yoga classes and felt like the red headed stepchild but never with Chris. Don't get me wrong she cares about the process and it's purity too but she also understands that on your first day you may not be able to do the Straight legs side crow. But I will ask next time I visit. While meditation is a technique practiced mostly by Buddhist, its popularity has grown over the years due to the health benefits it brings. Nowadays many people who are not a part of the Buddhist community practice this form of mind decluttering. If you are into natural medicines I recommend checking them out https://meditationingeorgia.org. Meditation is known to alleviate stress, anxiety, improve your attention span and mental heath, and many more. What I like about Kadampa is that they offer a slew of class & events to enlighten you about the practice. Also, every Friday at 6:30pm they host a Free Meditation & Dinner Social event; every Saturdays at 8:00am they host Free Meditations in the Park-which is currently being held inside the facility due to the weather.

Thus, I guess, no better and worse. So, to tell you that this place is fabulous might be a bit anti-Buddhist. Good thing for you, I'm not far enough along my path to make those judgments. If you're looking for a safe and inviting place, that is, nonetheless, serious about Buddhist studies, this is a fantastic place. Sunday morning "classes" (they are not referred to as "services"), are open to anyone, and involve meditation, followed by a lesson offered by Gen Kelsang Mondrub is a close disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. Gen Mondrub is humble, often referencing his own challenges and fallibility, while offering wise, accessible, and inspirational lessons. A childrens' class is offered next door, offering genuine Buddhist teachings in a manner accessible to little ones (with time for coloring and arts and crafts thrown in, too.) Parents can stay with their children or go to the adult class. The center also runs the absolutely delightful vegetarian Buddhist cafe down the street-- the World Peace Cafe. Book a retreat and get away. When you pull in you are greeted by a lot of the staff. They help you load your stuff and take you to the top. The whole way they are giving history and a mini tour. You arrive at your cottage (named after plants). They are laid out to encourage getting out and exploring so no common areas. The tea house is open 24 hours a beautiful spot to read or chat. Mandala Hall is a beautiful space for yoga and workshops. The dining hall great spot open seat. The food is phenomenal cooked with love. The land is luscious and awe inspiring. This is overall a truly amazing place.

Bedroom doors have locks. The beds- Imagine sleeping on a cloud with a cloud on top of you along with an additional luxurious blanket. Several different pillows (3 on a twin bed!) are provided for your preferred level of fluffiness. The shower has immediate hot water and good pressure. The unit is quiet at night and feels safe. GETTING AROUND: You can walk to all the facilities within 3-5 minutes, 7 minutes if you stroll. You can take the road with a slight incline, or climb about 10 rock stairs (WITH handrails!!). OUTSIDE: A huge firepit surrounded with plenty of comfortable chairs is right next to a peaceful pond with a small man-made waterfall. You can hear frogs croak evening and morning. There's a turkey loitering, and can point you in the right direction. You can enjoy the best stargazing ever on the wide lush carpet of grass. MEETING PLACES The gorgeous round mandala house allows a 360 degree view of the mountains. Below is a kitchen and eating area. You can eat inside, or at a picnic table outside. They even have those big heaters in case it's cold outside! The Tea room is open 24 hours a day with plenty of comfortable seats, and beautiful views outside. Food- I wouldn't be surprised if the chef planned the perfect amount of macro/micro nutrients for optimal health. There's less variety and volume than I'd prefer (but probably the perfect calorie count). I advise bringing additional snacks. There's so much more. Just go there. By the way, I have no affiliation with Elohee, just a lucky person who found this place.

They have a nice variety of classes and instructors, cap each class at 10 people total, and is non-heated (which I personally prefer). The first time it's hard to find, as it's nestled back behind the complex of businesses, but parking is easy and it's super accessible. It's no-frills, no gimmicks, just real yoga, in a cheery, bright, and cozy location with kind staff.

Sunny Street Yoga is the studio I have been looking for! There are so many things I like about this…read morestudio - I'll address them in the order of things that appeal to me most. First, Sunny Street limits class sizes to 10. I LOVE that classes never feel crowded, and I never have to rush to get there too early for a spot. Additionally, I never have to worry about the potential awkwardness of touching strangers accidentally in class. (Okay, there are certainly worse things, but this is so awkward, right?!) Next, this is truly a studio that offers many styles of practice. If you are looking for strength and stamina, you can find it. If you are looking for restoration and meditation, you can find it. If you are looking for a flow that combines the two, yep - you can find it. Like an earlier reviewer, I am LOVING the Ashtanga classes. Additionally, all levels of practice are welcomed. Props are readily available, and modifications and enhancements are offered for many asanas. In my experience, classes typically have participants that reflect a range of experience levels. All are welcomed and encouraged. I have never seen anyone pushed beyond their comfort level. All instructors I've practiced with (I have been to classes offered by five different instructors) have been incredibly knowledgeable, welcoming, and encouraging. I regularly sign up for classes with all of them as my schedule allows. Sunny Street has a handy app for class registration. All classes require registration in advance, and the app makes it so easy to check out the schedule and register for classes. It is super user-friendly. You can also monitor the number of participants who have registered for upcoming classes. Sunny Street also offers other wellness classes and special events, such as book clubs, circles, and general wellness events. They also sponsor events in the community, such as Friday morning yoga at the Forum. There appear to be a number of opportunities to connect with other people who practice at the studio if you are interested in doing so. Finally, it is easy to get in and out of - open parking lot and close to a number of neighborhoods. Classes are affordable and membership is a great value! I highly recommend a visit. Did I mention that they have great offers for visiting guests? Check them out on social media or their website for more details. See you at the studio!
