Couldn't be happier with Kosich. After this past winter's snowfall, we had 3, or 4 trees that were knocked down, and 4 more that were damaged, or leaning so severely that they had to be removed. Most of these trees were over 80' high! It was a daunting amount of work. Jason, and Ryan both walked the job with me, and sent us a quote. Their crew arrived on the day they scheduled, and worked until the entire job was complete the following day. Their men were respectful, professional, and most importantly, worked safely. Called on Wednesday before the labor day weekend and they were able to deliver on Monday morning so we could get the wood stacked and under the house. I called today for a cord of Oak. Jason offered the Oak for $375 plus $10 delivery fee to Tahoe Donner and $95 to stack the wood in my garage. He stated he would be at my house between 1pm and 3pm. He showed up right at 1pm. The wood was clean 16inches and perfect size. He quickly stacked the wood in an organized fashion and worked with me to figure out the best location for the overflow. Bought two cords of mixed wood delivered and placed perfectly by Jason. Prices are reasonable and wood was all sized for a smaller wood-burning fireplace. Also, though he said he had misquoted to delivery fee slightly low for the Donner Summit area, he stuck to the lower price. Jason came back later in the week exactly as he said to quote taking down a dead pine tree next to the cabin. Again, quote is reasonable, and also gave advice about keeping the logs for firewood, and splitting them by using a "maul" instead of a splitter because the pine splits easily. Jason was really nice. We talked via email and phone. He was able to deliver 1/4 cord right in between these massive snowstorms we have been having in truckee this winter. As requested, it was dumped as far up our driveway as possible, making it easy for us to stack in the garage once we got up to our house from the Bay Area. It had snowed overnight after the delivery, so the wood was wet when we stacked it, but seemed to burn fine as long as we started the fire with some of our remaining dry wood and then used the Kosich wood once it was going. I'll update this review once the Kosich wood has dried out more if there is anything different to report. But for now, A+ read more

Overall, fine. Wood is pretty wet but guess that will change. I understand the no steps policy although I apparently missed that T&C (didn't see it on the website), so I appreciated the gentleman who delivers in the rain and I was happy to tip him $40. The only disconnect for me is being told on the day of delivery that there is a no snow policy (also not on the site that I could see). I guess I'm wondering how a business in the mountains during winter has a no snow policy? Perhaps I misunderstood, as that is just odd. Wouldn't this be the bulk of the business during winter? read more
