Everyone at Dr. Field's office exemplifies Concierge Dentristry. Think of regular commercial airlines as being the usual dentist's office - and Dr. Field's office being the latest Gulf Stream G700 private long range jet. And Dr. Field is THE BEST. What he did with my mouth is nothing short of a total transformation, health wise for my mouth , bite wise and appearance wise. I went in for a routine cleaning and Gayle was absolutely phenomenal. I couldn't have asked for a more friendly and personable hygienist. She genuinely made the experience pleasant and enjoyable. Dr Kwon and his team are the absolute best. The facilities are immaculate, service is stellar and there is an obvious focus on fostering relationships. The care he extends to his patients and the community is apparent to anyone who has spent any time with him. Despite booking a full-service cleaning, the hygienist spent nearly an hour touring the facility, asking extensive dental history questions, running scans, and reviewing potential treatment plans--with the dentist briefly stepping in at the end. It quickly became clear that this prolonged diagnostic process was just a setup to rack up exam fees and manufacture a reason to push costly, unnecessary treatments for profit. After all that administrative and diagnostic time, the actual physical teeth cleaning lasted less than 10 minutes, only for them to tell me I suddenly needed a deep cleaning. Spending an hour padding charges and pushing over-treatment only to rush through a less than10-minute cleaning does not feel like quality patient care. Won't be returning.

A dentist or prosthodontist would do a crown prep, then an oral surgeon will perform the crown lengthening surgery (not the same person who does the crown), and then back to the dentist or prosthodontist for the permanent crown work. Before this, we didn't even know about prosthodontics. Any regular dentist will be happy to bill you for their work. However, we had a very horrible experience with the oral surgeon, and my husband was traumatized, so I started researching for more competent expertise. We actually switched from a perfectly fine dentist to Dr. Nam after the surgery trauma. My husband was apprehensive at first, but he became more and more confident and happy to see Dr. Nam with each appointment. Dr. Nam consistently showed care, professionalism, and expertise in his work. So much so that, now the crown is done, my husband is electing for more work on some older issues that his previous dentists could not fix. Every patient he sees needs an implant or root canal. He is not interested in saving teeth, because that would be far cheaper than an implant. "Prime IMPLANT Center"...but that is not his area of dental specialty. #2 He is so rushed and cares 0% about his patients. He doesn't disclose all the risks and side effects of the procedure (personal experience and heard from others too). He brags about teaching as UCSF and pouts about how successful he is.. sending his children to private school and living in Palo alto...blah blah. Do some dental volunteering work if your that rich. Dr. Yi and his staff have made a good living by scamming every poor patient (that could have had their teeth saved) by imposing an implant or root canal for them. Avoid at all costs and keep your money and teeth.
