Do NOT eat here! The service is absolutely terrible and the manager (who introduced himself as Ben) and our server, who told me she wouldn't give me her name, was rude and not accommodating at all. We ordered the Ribeye sandwich and it came well done and was extremely tough to eat. I expressed my concern to our waitress, and the manager, who stated that's how they cook it and were unable to cook it any other way due to the meat being too thin. They stated we could not get a refund and offered a drink instead which didn't make sense - if you can offer free liquor, you can take the sandwich off. I expressed how we've never been here and was unaware of their policy of cooking all the meat to the same temperature. We even stated we wanted the meat medium well and the server didn't inform us when ordering that they weren't able to meet our request. I explained that we aren't from here and they still wasn't willing to take it off. Disappointing experience to our Saturday night. read more

The food was great but the service wasn't that consistent, the waitress who served us was wonderful, my other friend I was with had to get another waitresses attention but she ignored him completely, not until he got another one attention and that's when he got his mayonnaise. Also all the food tasted weird and everything was either dry or just salty. Within 12 hours I started to feel sick, I felt extremely nauseous and almost threw up while I was at work today, my stomach was cramping really badly and I had to use the toilet every hour, I thought I may have gotten food poisoning but I'm not sure, but the experience overall was okay, it's just the aftermath I'm suffering from eating there. read more

Strike one was the lack of toilet paper in my stall in the restroom. Strike two was the table was really sticky all over like it had been washed with a cloth soaked in all the crud from the day. The food was okay. Typical fried bar food. The outdoor tent/beer garden area was impressive with a roaring circular firepit in the middle. The menu was really limited-just the front and back of a placard on the table. Strike three was no salt and pepper at the table. Service was efficient and friendly. They all look like they would rather be anywhere but here and their service shows it. So I am in town. I remember that Kouri's Pub has $.60 cent wings on Monday's. I walk in and they appear to have a moderate crowd for a Monday. I proceed to sit at the bar. The bar on the inside is stacked full of dirty dishes and bartender at the inside bar sees me seat myself but continues to count money which is ok. But then I watch two other patrons seat themselves at the bar and promptly he asks them what do they need. So I tell the bartender I have been here too. He looked at me like I spit in his face proceeded to ask me what I do want. You know what I am good. I wouldn't dare waste $.60 for that type of service. read more

Had the 1/2 burger with fries. The burger was slightly burned on one side and just right on the other. The fries must have come from the bottom of the bag as they were all small pieces. Reminded me of the bottom of McDonald's fries. The bartender didn't tell me there was a 2 dollar upcharge for fries. I had to ask for ketchup and he gave me an empty bottle an a full one. Why not just give me the full one? 2 staff members were drinking and eating at the bar. Not sure if they were off work, but they were in uniform. one of the staff asked how she did today(how much she made). Her last table were bad toppers but she did ok for the day. When I sat at the bar there was a guy grabbing his girl's breasts. she playfully pushed his hands away where he diverted them to grabbing her ass. The waitresses serving the tables outside seemed to be bothered by getting drink orders at the bar. When I asked for the bill the bartender just told me what I owed. When I asked for a receipt he told me he could write it up. Do I really have to ask for a receipt? I most likely will not come back here. read more

Horrible first experience. The bartender named Joe was so rude from the beginning. He acted Ike I was irritated that he even had to take my order. He was cold and dismissive. To make it worse I found out they don't pay their employees on time and if they complain they are terminated and told to deal with it. I've gone here quite a few times over the last few years, both for dinner and just for drinks. They have great wings, cheese balls, fried mushrooms, grilled cheese, and ribeye sandwich. I've never had anything I didn't like! The service is really hit or miss. I was there last night with a group of friends. Most of us ate dinner while others just drank. The server was really on top of it when we first came in, and kept good track of who was coming and leaving. Toward the end, she was very scarce. My beer and water were empty for about 30 minutes before the server came back. I like the outdoor area, except that people are allowed to smoke in there. I don't like leaving smelling like an ash tray, but like being able to sit around the fire pit with friends. read more

Service and food are. ........ acceptable, the biggest challenge here seems to be over-staffing, too many servers standing around inside, not enough customers outside. One waitress was allowed to leave early, manager asked if she had any tables outside, she said" yeah, one and only got a dollar tip". If you smoke, this is the place for you. If you don't smoke, don't wear anything nice here because you'll be getting it dry cleaned the next day. The outdoor area would be great. Unfortunately they allow folks to smoke in a covered space and within 15 feet of the door. The prices here are outrageous for this type of place. Was pleasantly surprised in a Friday night. Met some good friends there for the first time at Kouris and we had 1/2 price appetizers... They were the size of entrees! My son and I each had a chicken quesadilla and we split an order of boneless wings. Both were excellent! Chicken was tender and flavorful in the quesadilla and the boneless wings were original... Lightly breaded and very meaty! Will definitely be back! read more

If you like to smoke "indoors" this would be the place for you. Fairly priced drinks but considered higher for the Peoria area which isn't saying much. The heated outdoor patio is what brings the crowd in to Kouri's but nothing really special about the place. read more

I have frequented Kouri's for at least the last 6-8 years...I was so comfortable there that I would often go alone...I've never had any issues EVER!! A few weeks ago I got into an argument with my friends fiancé, someone who I have had issues with being disrespectful in the past. I left on my own, there was no physical contact, no police were called, and they want to ban me from coming there. What a way to treat a loyal customer!! Nobody has heard or even asked my side of the story, I've called to speak with the owners 3 different times and haven't heard back. So I went back a few days ago, hoping that I could apologize and we move on. I mean for Christ's sake I personally know people who have done worse at Kouris and be allowed to come back, but she's Caucasian so that may be the difference. It is very disheartening to be banned from a place that you've patronized so often and for so long with not so much as a simple conversation. read more
