I have been using this car wash service since I was living in Ballston 5 years ago. I take there my car ever since. Not sure what happened, if the management changed but the last two times I went there the service was not good at all. Everything was dusty, dirty and not cleaned in the inside. Let start off with the disclaimer that I rarely give bad reviews, and I feel bad for doing this because the guys here are REALLY nice. But...I didn't pay them $250 +tip to be nice. I paid them for the Executive Detail package to clean my car inside and out, and I'm less than satisfied. I went to this place because they have good reviews, but after reading through the reviews again, I see that a lot of them are for the less expensive packages. Maybe they do a good job for the lower price range packages, but for me, the pricey Executive Detail package is not worth it AT ALL. Let me also say up front that they did a GREAT job on the exterior. My tires/rims are super clean, and my car has a nice sheen from the wax job. No complaints here. Actually, that's the only reason this review has any stars at all. Now, my rant begins: My big-time complaints are on the interior. When I came to pick the car up (which wasn't ready until 30 minutes after my scheduled pickup time), the guy opened all the doors and had me look at it. It looked pretty good to me - I didn't do a full run through of every crevice of the car because I figured they did their due diligence, as a professional cleaning service should. He told me that my floor mats were still damp and wrapped in plastic in my trunk, and to air them out when I got home. I thought this was a bit strange and inconvenient, but I've never had my car detailed before, so I didn't know if this was standard practice or not. So I drove out of the dimly lit garage, and as soon as I got into the daylight again...OH NO! There were streaks everywhere, like the rag they used was dipped in grease beforehand. My center console still had dirt, hair, and a broken rubberband (!) sitting in it. All of my door buttons (windows, locks, etc.) still had dusty dirt in all the crevices. The area behind the steering wheel (where I obviously spilled something at some point) still had brown drip marks down it. My vents hadn't been dusted. The car looked like I drove it down to the local car wash and paid 25 cents/minute to use the vacuum myself. And, not only were my floor mats wet in my trunk, but the interior lining rugs were SOAKED. I spent the next 3 days with my windows down in my office parking garage airing everything out so that it didn't get mildewy. I was, for lack of a better term, pissed. I sent an email the next day with pictures of all of these things, and then called the shop. I was very composed when talked to Kenny (who I think is the owner), and he apologized and told me to bring my car back in so that they could re-do the interior. Again, a mild inconvenience to bring the car back, but I was willing to give them a second chance. Maybe they just couldn't see the things in the shop because it is in a dimly lit lower-level parking garage. I dropped my car off a few days later. When I picked it up at the end of the 2nd day, the guy opened the door again and told me to take a look. This time I knew what to look for. The first thing I did was turn the steering wheel to look at the area where I had spilled something. This is also one of the pictures I sent in my email. THE DRIP MARKS WERE STILL THERE. They guys jumped into action, and apologized, wiping the area down. I started pointing out other things (that were also included in my email pictures), and they kept hustling around fixing everything. After pointing out 3 or 4 of these things, I decided I wasn't going to stay and do a 200-point inspection of the car after they had it all day, supposedly fixing the things that weren't done the first time I brought it in. I honestly don't think they even opened the doors until about 10 minutes before I picked it up. They told me that if I found anything else, to bring it back again. Why would I bring my car back for a THIRD time, after you failed to correct things the SECOND time, that should have been done the FIRST time? Maybe I'm being too picky, but if I am paying you $250 to detail my car, I expect you to go through it with a cue-tip. At the VERY LEAST, I would expect you to fix the things I sent pictures of when I brought my car back in. Not a single thing from my photos was corrected. I still have a broken rubber band in my console. If you want to pay $30-40 for them to wash and wax the exterior of your car, by all means do it. If you want a professional detailing service, go somewhere else. read more

I'm not a car person, my ride is six years old, I think of it as a utility rather than an accessory. And sometimes husband -- who cycles to work -- would join me for happy hour in the city, then toss his bike in the backseat for the ride home, leaving big grease stains on the upholstery. Backseat passengers had to put road atlases down to sit. Yeah, my lady was looking a little worse for the wear. As penance for the grease smears I suppose, husband gifted me with a full interior and exterior car detailing. I Yelped (duh), and we found KP Touch. It's near husband's office where he could drop it off and pick it up, prices nearly *half* what other places were asking, and favorably reviewed by my fellow Yelpers. Once again, Yelp points in the right direction. Husband dropped the car off (down, down, down on the P4 level of the parking garage in which KP is located) first thing in the morning and picked it up right after work the same day. I couldn't be more thrilled with the work performed. My car -- tho I doubt it could ever look "brand new" again at this point -- looks better than it has in years. So sparkly and shiny. So clean and tidy. And not a trace of those nasty grease stains. A full detail plus generous tip ran us under $200, and husband thought the guys working here were approachable, professional, and fair. With prices and service like that, husband and I plan on becoming KP regulars. read more

Gotta say that I can't see what all the fuss is about. I tried this place based on its strong Yelp reviews. It was okay, but pricey. The location is annoying -- four levels down in a tight parking garage. The people were generally clueless, unaware that I had made an appointment upon arrival until they checked. For that appointment, I'd asked for the "wash and spray wax" as well as "interior dressing." I left my car there after they put me ahead of other cars in the queue due to having made an appointment, told it would take about an hour and 15 minutes -- and that they'd call when it finished. I didn't hear anything, so went back an hour and a half later and the car was done, but the woman informed me that they actually don't do interior dressing anymore (much to her and their website's surprise) -- which was one of the chief reasons I chose this place, as many other car washes don't offer interior detailing. The work they did was mediocre at best, with some wax marks still on the paint, and big white wax streaks on the plastic bottom panels of our car. Also a fair few water spots could be seen. I only bring my car to these places in the winter, because I prefer doing the work myself when weather permits, but I'll find a different place next year. Personally think their Exterior + interior + tire shine for $35 is a great deal and their service is very good. Interior was spotless after the wash. However, they did miss a lot of road tar spots on the lower side skirts the car and applied too much tire shine so it was dripping down into the rims. I will definitely use KP touch again and again but I will remind them these points. read more

Fantastic Car wash. Second time having a car wash here, and it was just as great as the first. The exterior wash is a great value, they vacuum the inside of your car and wipe your dash. My car looked immaculate after their clean. I also ordered a pet hair removal service (additional $25), and I noticed a little bit of hair left. They acknowledged it, took the hair out, then waived the pet hair removal fee! That's what I call "customer first" service. Absolutely top notch. I would recommend this to everyone. read more

As I prepared my Honda Pilot for selling, I checked out Yelp for auto detailing places in Fairfax. I read the glowing reviews for KP Auto and decided it was worth the hassle of driving further to get stellar service. I'm glad I read the previous reviews on where the business is located... you enter the parking garage on Taylor St and go down to the P4 level. You take a parking ticket, but they deduct the price of the ticket from their fee. When I left the car, they told me to return in five hours. I knew then the car would be getting a very thorough and detailed cleaning. When I returned five hours later, Eric was still finishing up. The car shone brightly inside and out - every crack and crevice was clean. My husband did have to clean the engine and also remove the sticker residue left on the windshield. But the car sold with the very first person who viewed it, and I credit KP's detailing for making it look brand new. read more

These guys are pros! I had to sell my car and wanted to get it detailed before I listed it. I made an appointment with Kenny and we walked through the car as he listened to what I wanted done. He inspected certain areas that required more work and then we agreed to a time that i could get my car. It took him a few hours to turn the car around (something I highly appreciated as I know doing all that work by hand should take that many hours). When I went to get my Civic, I saw a Lamborghini Murciélago Superveloce getting detailed. If KP Touch is good enough for a Superveloce, then it's good enough for whatever it is that you're drivin! read more

OH MY GOODNESS, I love this place. THE SERVICE IS OFF THE CHARTS. I knew nothing about picking a car detailing place, which made it slightly overwhelming. I was confused and just plain clueless about the type of services for my car in when I came in. I had a really horrible accident of beer exploding in my car from a brewery tour with some friends (due to the summer heat in my car, some beer exploded in my car)... I know that there's a natural bacteria in beer and that it would cause a whole LOT of problems if I didn't get it taken care of. Mold was what I was most concerned about.... Being SUPER embarrassed and mortified that my car smelled like a brewery (totally NOT cool) I called KP Touch and explained my situation. They were SUPER kind, SUPER sweet, and helped talk me through the process of what my car was going to need. It costed me a REAL pretty penny (but to get the job done RIGHT, PAY FOR IT... which should be anyones opinion in this interesting situation). There is only so much one can do when the damage is done.... Le SIGH. JUST an FYI, they are in the parking garage on N. Taylor Street and on P4. It was confusing to me at first, but once I got there, I felt like I was in good hands. I spoke to the amazing man (Kevin) who detailed my car numerous times (he went beyond what he needed to do). He's a really kind and genuine man I really liked him as a person, he seems like good people. I truly trusted him with my car and still would. However at one point I was frustrated with the team. I spoke to them on a Saturday (3 days before I was to get my car) and I said I would get it early morning that next Tuesday. They told me that was fine, however I think the information got misconstrued. I went in early on a Tuesday and I could see the seats of my car still drying. I was annoyed and I needed to get my car back soon. I spoke to detailer on the phone (he was at HOME and willing to talk to me) and he was EXTREMELY apologetic for the misunderstanding. He said it could be easily done that night, so I confirmed I'd be there after work. The detailer (my favorite new person) was so sorry that he gave me a gift certificate for a deluxe detail in the future and his team not only did the inside of my car but they waxed and cleaned the outside of my car as well (which I did not pay for. It went BEYOND what I expected.) there was no need for a gift certificate. It was an annoyance but I got my car back when I wanted to, but that team at KP Touch is straight amazing. I'm a glorified "car" guy and when living in suburbia with running water and driveway, I was known to wash my car religiously every weekend. This type of obsessive behavior does not mix too well when living in the concrete jungles of Arlington. There are NO self serve car washes in this town! Late on a Friday afternoon I realized last minute that we had an Indian wedding to go to that night. There was no way I was going to have my wife and I roll up in a chariot that looked like we just traveled through the trails of Great Falls and be heckled upon arrival. I called two other places on Yelp and they were booked till next week. I happen to see KP Touch on the side bar and clicked it. Good reviews, closer than the others, and they were able to take me in if I could get there in the next 45 minutes. The hell I could - I've watched Fast and Furious more than once! If you're coming off Wilson, it's the first garage on your left. It's NOT the garage next to Potbelly's. Drive in and take a right, and keep turning right until you reach lower level P4. When I got there I was pleased to see a fleet of clean black cars - one brand new Audi A8 and one brand new Audi A4. My Audi was in good company. I got a basic wash, vacuum and tire dressing. My man washed the car the same way I used to.. the RIGHT way. Starting from the roof and working his way down (you don't want the wash mitt to spread the road grime from the lower part of the car to the upper). He rinsed the car off and used a different mitt for the wheels. Rinse, water bladed clean, and chamoised the excess water down. Door and trunk jambs were dried off and tires dressed - wheels dried last. He made several rounds spot checking for water drips. If my baby had her eyes closed, she probably never would have known another man was touching her the right way. 35 minutes later I was gleamed up ready to roll-up and be judged at the wedding. I wish I found this place sooner. They aren't just guys that "wash cars", they are professionals who take pride in their work, and they do their work well. Flagship runs your car through a machine that whips your car with dirty towels, rinses with high pressure water and a mob of people with dirty towels smear the water all over your car for $20+. Called them based on Yelp reviews and was told that the whole process would take no more than 4 hours. Dropped car off first thing in the morning (9AM) and expected it to be completed by 2PM. Returned at 2 and car was not ready. Walked around Ballston then sat outside the building. Received a call around 3:30 that the car was ready. Paid the full price on the full detail package and gave them a nice tip (even though it wasn't ready when I expected!!). Sadly, after I took the car outside (they work in the bottom level of a below-grade parking garage) I saw that they did a poor job -- missed areas on the exterior, windows and interior was still dusty. Didn't bother going back, and neither will I go back, let along refer them to anyone!! read more

At Mr. Wash, I paid about the same for what is basically an opportunity to drive through a drive-thru carwash (which isn't worth a darn) and then have a person pretend to dry off your car. I was selling my car, and realized it would probably be much nicer to hand it off looking lovely. I called Kenny, and he was wonderful and accomodating. I dropped off my baby on the 4th level of the parking garage at 8 am, took the Metro into work, and came back around 4:30 that evening. What a fantastic job! She looked brand new, and they even managed to take off some of the decals I had put on her during my tenure as her owner. I really can't tell you what an amazing transformation occured while I was at work. The tires looked brand new, and the wash, wax, and blackening of the exterior was incredible. She looked brand new. They also shampooed the interior, vacuumed out every single crevice. My cat and I had gone across country together in the car, and they removed every hair. Truly incredible service. First time going to KP Touch and I am not disappointed. Dropped my car off at 8am for a full detail (interior and exterior, package 5) and came back at 1:30. Out of all the little "how did that get there" stains 90% were gone. I would've come back later but this is what worked with my schedule, because of this the seats were still a little wet but not a problem at all. If I could give 6 stars, I would! My car was covered in stains from calcium dripping on my car in my apartment's garage. The stains wouldn't come out after multiple attempts. The dude who work there, Richard I believe, was very sweet and accommodating and they did a fantastic job. You name it, there was dirt in places that I can't even locate and stains here and there but they were able to get it all. I am new to the area and was looking for a place to get my car washed since it was in serious need of one. After perusing yelp I came across KP Touch. I had been looking for your typical drive through car wash with vacuums available, but after reading the positive reviews I visited their website. For 30 bucks they would clean my car, vacuum the inside, and clean the windows inside and out. Considering that most drive through car places are 15 bucks and don't include the vacuuming and windows I was in. My experience was, like other reviewers, very positive. They were nice and took great care of my car. If this is what my car looks like for the basic hand wash, I can't wait to see what a full detailing would look like. I'll definitely be back. read more

These guys are so professional! I was a little dubious about how good a detail anyone could do inside a parking garage, and whether there would be enough light to see everything, but when I picked up my car everything was spotless, and the paint was buffed to a high shine. They thoughtfully put every pen, coin, lipstick, and other item they found in a plastic bag. And no detail was too small for them, including shampooing the seatbelts. I highly recommend. read more

While there were some snafus between the conversation I had with the owner on the phone and the morning I showed up, he was willing to work with me to honor what he said and they did a great job. I just wanted a vacuuming and I have a dog so it was no easy task. Once I was actually able to find the place after driving around the block for twenty minutes (its on the bottom floor of a garage for an office building) my car was done in 45 minutes. I have a 78 lb dog and don't always put the cover across my seats to protect the car from dirt, dog hair and in general can be a little bit messier than I should in my car. The outside of my car had also become a HUGE target for pollen and bird crap so the car wasn't looking it's best. I made an appointment with KP Touch for the next day and brought it in at 8am, and WOW. Best decision I've made in a while. The location is strange as it's in the lowest level of a parking deck but the job they did was outstanding. My car looks brand new on the inside and SHINES on the outside. I really don't think it has been this clean since driving it off the lot in 2010. I was skeptical at first and left completely impressed. I plan to come back at least once a year to keep my car looking fantastic. Well worth the money and a fantastic job. FYI: I had Package 4 which was interior shampoo and leather conditioning. I had my girlfriend's 10 year old Explorer detailed here after we discovered ants in her car. Ants? I have no idea how they got in and stayed in. The team here did a phenomenal job. They shampooed and vacuumed the interior, leaving it spotless and, more importantly, ant free. They also took care of the exterior. The car truly looked like new. I drove from DC based on the Yelp reviews. I got the package 5, Full Detail, as the car had slowly gotten grimy and the interior needed shampooing. It was definitely worth it. I bought the car used, two years ago from a dealer, and it has never looked this good. The mystery stains are gone and I feel like I have a new car. When I pay for detail, I expect attention to detail. There were still bugs on my front bumper, dirty nooks and crannies in the interior, and greasy smears on my back window. Unfortunately, none of these were easily visible until I drove the car up out of the garage. Next time, I'd rather pay half the price for a simple hand wash, wax, and interior vacuum for about the same result. read more

I had the unfortunate luck of parking under a tree one weekend, and my car ended up absolutely COVERED in bird droppings - I almost cried when I had to drive it to work on Monday morning. I went to Mr. Wash (where I get it cleaned every once in a while) but it was so nasty that they wouldn't even touch it. So given the recommendations online, I called on KP Touch. They said that it was fine, and to just come by the next morning - so I did. Kenny was very nice and friendly, and he and his team cleaned that car so that it was sparkling and shiny - not a speck of dirt on the outside, and looking spotless inside. And I didn't pay for detailing, just the hand wash and wax! I picked it up at lunch, and it was like getting a brand new car back. Kenny knocked off the cost of the parking, and I drove out of there feeling like I got a great deal. Not only did they do a great job, but they obviously cared that I felt good about the work they had done.
