Sometimes they aren't there so just call before you come down. The two rooms of the store are filled with an eclectic mix of stuff like jewelry, instruments, clothing, home items, and collectibles. I was interested in the art but it was jammed so tightly in the shelf I couldn't really see it. I think the most unusual item I saw was a ship's porthole. I heard the owners son tell a customer that they had even more things in the back and to come again when his father was back from his fishing trip. If you are looking for something specific it is probably just best to ask them about it. I didn't find anything but I had fun looking. The wife who was working was very sweet. Inventory changes based on what they purchase so you can check in to see new things.

It's a humble location; it's in a quiet strip mall off Oakland Park blvd. Honestly, as we pulled in to the mostly empty parking lot I thought we had the wrong location. But as we entered I realized what few mall customers there were, were all in the shop. And what a nice space it was. Old school basic layout that I liked. Just boxes and boxes of vinyl to sift through. They were well organized, with punk, funk, and more all set in their areas. And the RSD specials were displayed above each of the areas they related to. It's not a huge store, but with the limited quantity it helped me find a couple things I liked. Glad to make the acquaintance of We Got the Beats, and hope to be back soon.

The owner/manager (I'm not sure of his exact role), Tony, was super nice and patient despite what I'm sure was a stressful event. I was super impressed by the organization and how smoothly everything went, when it could've very easily been chaotic with hundreds of crazed fans in attendance. Tony also did a great job of making sure that people didn't cut in line, when many did try, and took the time to talk to those of us who had been waiting in line for hours. He also answered tons of questions on social media that people had leading up to the event. I can't convey how impressed I am at how well they pulled off an event of this magnitude, and am beyond grateful for this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Most amp/guitar techs are butchers, thieves, and just plain assholes. The guys at Crown are none of the above. They fixed my amp promptly and held great communication the entire process (so I knew what I was paying for). The owner was super friendly and was making sure everyone was able to walk around and look at the shelves when they were trying to find something interesting, like me. Inside, it feels like you're transported somewhere magical. Books literally line everywhere you go and I loved being able to crane my neck all the way back and see books going upwards towards the roof. It is easy to figure out the sections, they have history, art, literature and a variety of other genres to look around at. I found a old edition of The Silence of The Lambs and had to buy it. The book was in very nice condition and very reasonably priced for what it was! I will say, if it's busy like it was when I was there, you will have to scooch past people multiple times because the two rows of books are basically only large enough for one person standing sideways. Technique records was a pleasant detour on a trip down to Miami. This store has a huge selection of records in varying conditions and genres. Mini records, promo albums, albums from other countries, singles, and even new unopened records can be found here. There is also a section for local artist. They also have several $1 bins where you can find hidden gems if you have the patience. This store was pretty consistently busy and staff was always around if you needed help with something. There are two turntables available to listen to records before you buy (as long as they aren't sealed). Definitely stop in with some time to explore whether you are new to vinyls or a pro.
