Great name for a record store, We Got The Beats. In the 70s and 80s these record stores were in every mall and plaza. Love it here trying to locate that one record from your teen years that you remember playing over and over on those old record players. I just saw Def Leppard in concert so searched for one of there older original albums which I did not find. I did find a new one titled Diamond Star Halos, for $36.99, very expensive, inflation. I spoke with a staff member and said that his store does sell original records although a majority of the 70s and 80s are remastered. During my fun but exhausting search I noticed that they sell old cassette tapes, action figures and band t-shirts.

Love We Got The Beats! They organized a meet and greet for Joe Jonas on his album release day and we had so much fun! The workers did their very best to assure everything went smoothly and was well organized. I want to thank them so much for putting it together! On regular days though, they are also fun to visit if you're shopping for records. My brother in law is a collector of them so we visit all the time to see what's new. Their store is also always well organized so you can look through things easily. Go check them out if you like music!

Great selection of records, CDs and action figures. Several reproduced records from the 70s and 80s. A little of everything here. The service was excellent from the staff. Got what i came in for. Very well priced records and not too many record stores around anymore.

Another first visit today was made to this very cool music shop! Store is very spacious and has a enormous selection of cassettes, cds, vinyls and other music related items. Staff is courteous, friendly and professional. Mr. Alan was a great help and assisted me with finding some of favorite rare musical gems. This will be my go to spot when I visit the area again in the near future!

You know they say the sequel isn't as good as the original, but I think We Got the Beats Too might be the exception to the rule. The other day I stopped at their other location and they told me about this location. As much as I liked the last location I had to come here and check out their inventory, so I did- the very next day. I thought their other location had a lot of vinyl, but I hit the lottery with this location. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a really nice employee who asked if I'd been before. Since I hadn't, he walked me through the store showing me the displays and how to read the labeling; what they have are signs above posted on the wall that correspond with the bins facing you. It can be a little confusing at times, but they are in a pretty good order. I will say though, their other location does a better job of keeping things alphabetized, but honestly, I don't know how you'd keep so many records in order. The sheer volume is insane. What I really liked about this location is the amount of new releases. Anything from P!nk, Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Bjork, Jay-Z, and more. Like their sister store, they have a huge variety of folk, pop, rock, jazz, rap and r&b. This location has a much wider variety of r&b and rap vinyls which was perfect for me. I went to pay and he asked me if I'd been upstairs. "There's an upstairs?" I asked. Sure enough there was more. Two more rooms full of even more vinyls! 80's, 90's, and even some 00's 12 inch singles. By the time I left, my hands were dirty and dry from combing through all the old vinyls. I didn't want to miss out on that one perfect record, you know? Total music fomo. Pricing here is $3 for unmarked vinyl. Everything else is pretty much is marked with the price. I think both locations are amazing but I gotta give this one the edge. The layout is better since the space is bigger and I personally enjoy the selection here a little more. I'll be back to both, I'll just probably check this one out a little more often. There goes my paycheck.

Wasn't the biggest used section I've seen but prices were very good. The condition was much better than expected also. Great little store.

Reminded me of a record shop that I used to frequent back in Queens, NY in the 90s. If you're into rock and metal, you'll definitely love the selection here. They had all kinds of cool albums, including some really interesting sets and Record Store Day releases that you just don't see everywhere. They also had a bunch of reggae, soul and dance LP's. Prices were a little bit higher than you could find online for most things, but there were some deals here and there. My daughter found a bunch of singles for a buck or two that we're going for more money on eBay. She was psyched. One thing that I was disappointed with was that the selection appeared to be like 95% new vinyl. I was hoping to find some used bins to look through but it was really slim pickens for diamonds in the rough. That aside, gotta love a record store like this. I will definitely be back in the near future. Five stars.

Where do ya go on RSD? On record store day, you go to a good record store and enjoy…read more Last satuday we headed out to a spot I hadn't been to before, "We Got the Beats". It's a humble location; it's in a quiet strip mall off Oakland Park blvd. Honestly, as we pulled in to the mostly empty parking lot I thought we had the wrong location. But as we entered I realized what few mall customers there were, were all in the shop. And what a nice space it was. Old school basic layout that I liked. Just boxes and boxes of vinyl to sift through. They were well organized, with punk, funk, and more all set in their areas. And the RSD specials were displayed above each of the areas they related to. It's not a huge store, but with the limited quantity it helped me find a couple things I liked. Glad to make the acquaintance of We Got the Beats, and hope to be back soon.
