Love We Got The Beats! They organized a meet and greet for Joe Jonas on his album release day and we had so much fun! The workers did their very best to assure everything went smoothly and was well organized. I want to thank them so much for putting it together! On regular days though, they are also fun to visit if you're shopping for records. My brother in law is a collector of them so we visit all the time to see what's new. Their store is also always well organized so you can look through things easily. Go check them out if you like music!

Great selection of records, CDs and action figures. Several reproduced records from the 70s and 80s. A little of everything here. The service was excellent from the staff. Got what i came in for. Very well priced records and not too many record stores around anymore.

Another first visit today was made to this very cool music shop! Store is very spacious and has a enormous selection of cassettes, cds, vinyls and other music related items. Staff is courteous, friendly and professional. Mr. Alan was a great help and assisted me with finding some of favorite rare musical gems. This will be my go to spot when I visit the area again in the near future!

You know they say the sequel isn't as good as the original, but I think We Got the Beats Too might be the exception to the rule. The other day I stopped at their other location and they told me about this location. As much as I liked the last location I had to come here and check out their inventory, so I did- the very next day. I thought their other location had a lot of vinyl, but I hit the lottery with this location. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a really nice employee who asked if I'd been before. Since I hadn't, he walked me through the store showing me the displays and how to read the labeling; what they have are signs above posted on the wall that correspond with the bins facing you. It can be a little confusing at times, but they are in a pretty good order. I will say though, their other location does a better job of keeping things alphabetized, but honestly, I don't know how you'd keep so many records in order. The sheer volume is insane. What I really liked about this location is the amount of new releases. Anything from P!nk, Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Bjork, Jay-Z, and more. Like their sister store, they have a huge variety of folk, pop, rock, jazz, rap and r&b. This location has a much wider variety of r&b and rap vinyls which was perfect for me. I went to pay and he asked me if I'd been upstairs. "There's an upstairs?" I asked. Sure enough there was more. Two more rooms full of even more vinyls! 80's, 90's, and even some 00's 12 inch singles. By the time I left, my hands were dirty and dry from combing through all the old vinyls. I didn't want to miss out on that one perfect record, you know? Total music fomo. Pricing here is $3 for unmarked vinyl. Everything else is pretty much is marked with the price. I think both locations are amazing but I gotta give this one the edge. The layout is better since the space is bigger and I personally enjoy the selection here a little more. I'll be back to both, I'll just probably check this one out a little more often. There goes my paycheck.

Wasn't the biggest used section I've seen but prices were very good. The condition was much better than expected also. Great little store.

It's a humble location; it's in a quiet strip mall off Oakland Park blvd. Honestly, as we pulled in to the mostly empty parking lot I thought we had the wrong location. But as we entered I realized what few mall customers there were, were all in the shop. And what a nice space it was. Old school basic layout that I liked. Just boxes and boxes of vinyl to sift through. They were well organized, with punk, funk, and more all set in their areas. And the RSD specials were displayed above each of the areas they related to. It's not a huge store, but with the limited quantity it helped me find a couple things I liked. Glad to make the acquaintance of We Got the Beats, and hope to be back soon.

The owner/manager (I'm not sure of his exact role), Tony, was super nice and patient despite what I'm sure was a stressful event. I was super impressed by the organization and how smoothly everything went, when it could've very easily been chaotic with hundreds of crazed fans in attendance. Tony also did a great job of making sure that people didn't cut in line, when many did try, and took the time to talk to those of us who had been waiting in line for hours. He also answered tons of questions on social media that people had leading up to the event. I can't convey how impressed I am at how well they pulled off an event of this magnitude, and am beyond grateful for this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

This is the place to be. Because they have great social media, I was able to find out that Tiny Blips were going to be playing at Connect. So, I headed over after a stellar performance by Totem Cave at Art Serve. When I got there, it was a little crowded, but the atmosphere and vibes were popping. I was able to get closer to the stage and get my groove on. It would be a little difficult to describe TB's music as a genre, but they combined electronic DJ grooves with funk filled, live bass, guitar, and saxophone. Whoever designed the store space definitely LOVES music. There are many posters and paraphernalia throughout. Not to mention the wide range of music that they have for sale, even with reduced price crates for every type of music lover. There's enough room to shake your tail feather if you're feeling the tunes, and TB had a couple of their newly released albums for sale as well after the event. I am a proud owner. Because of the intimate quarters, it was possible to talk with members of the band after the show. I look forward to seeing some more performances, buying more albums, and just hanging out with cool and vibeful people. If you're into those things, you should come check out Connect Records.

Books-A-Million has a long history going all the way back to 1917 in Florence, Alabama, when 14 year old Clyde W. Anderson began a news stand business to support his family after the death of his father. From these humble beginnings Clyde's son, Charles C. Anderson expanded the books store left to him by his father into a chain of stores. Today they are the second largest chain of book stores in the U.S. operating close to 300 stores in more than 30 state. Books-A-Million is bright and inviting. They have a large selection of books from classics to the latest bestseller and periodicals but they also sell games, greeting cards, toys, T-shirts, collectibles, candy, house hold goods, collectibles, and more. I especially love their Florida section. This is the kind of store where it is easy to find a gift for that hard to shop for person. I have purchased a lot of presents here through the years as well as the latest beach book. I always discover something unique whenever I stop in. You can order books online but there is something so satisfying about going into a bookstore and holding the books in your hands as you make your decision. That is why this is always a top stop in the mall for me.
