Kpop Tori is the cutest little shop ever, and it instantly became one of my favorite stops in Austin. It's a small business and the whole place is basically a love letter to Kpop, anime, and anything kawaii. The shop is small, but it is packed with super cute and unique merch! I visited a few anime shops and this one was my favorite! Tons of options and variety! Also... the claw machines!! You can buy tokens and play, and I'm not kidding when I say I wish I could come back every day just to do that. It was ridiculous kawaii fun. The girl at the register made me feel SO welcome and actually engaged with me, which makes such a difference in a small shop like this. Quick stop for anime needs. They do have Stuff that marked as not authentic so your choice to get the more affordable versions. I had fun walking around and they have great variety of cool fun car stickers! They have boxed labubu. All the stuffs are pretty reasonably priced imo, of course if you go to Japan or Korea, it can be less, however, for something imported, I didn't think it was very pricey. Cute stuff here like anime, plushies, stationary items etc... My kids and I have found really cool things here. Customer service isn't as great though. Young adults with sassiness and have little to no knowledge of anything about items in the store. Also, prices are ridiculously high! Which brings me to another negative point.... Don't Buy The Apparel Here!!! I bought a 35$ Chainsaw Man T-Shirt and I put it on the next day, and as I proceeded to put it on, I pull like everyone else does when putting on a t-shirt, it rips!?! It literally rips! I then adjust the sleeve and it rips!?! So I pull at another angle and it rips!?! It almost seems as if it was made out of paper! The material was extremely thin!?! I was super excited to come check this place out!! My friend and I purchased three albums and sadly one was missing the actual CD. When we went to let them know the man at the first desk was super rude about it and told us that he didn't believe us. He kept telling us no and wouldn't let us speak when trying to explain that we had just purchased the albums 10 minutes earlier. What I like: -The cute items -Reasonable prices -Convenient location What I dislike: -THE CRAPPY CUSTOMER SERVICE When you walk in you sometimes get greeted most times you don't. When they do greet you its just a stiff "Hello." You are not allowed to walk in with grocery bags or food in there. They will take it from you right away and put it behind the counter. I had gotten some to-go food and was carrying the bag. I walked in and the person behind the counter says, "I can hold your bags." The way she said it gave no room to decline even if you were nicely to say "no, thank you". You are basically not allowed to touch anything only see. They will watch your every step like some kind of thief. I understand that this is a family run business and that they put their own money to buy the items they sell. It's time-consuming. They don't want anyone damaging or stealing their items I get it. What store would? But watching you shop for most of the entire time you're there is really uncomfortable and unwelcoming. I want to take my time and look around and not feel like I have to hurry up. If you accidentally move something and don't place it back on the exact spot or the exact way it was they will automatically come and fix it. That's nice and all but do they have to do it right that minute? It's a little awkward. I recently went by with my cousin who was a big K-Pop fan. I didn't want to deal with whoever was working there so I left and waited for her by the food court. When my cousin came back she tells me that there was another girl shopping there and all of a sudden the lady behind the counter yells out "Hey you! Don't touch that!" and 5 seconds later again "Hey! Yes, I'm watching you!" The lady was yelling at the female shopper who had picked up a mug to look at it from all sides. Is it really necessary to yell across the store? Why couldn't the lady behind the counter come out and ask the shopper nicely if she could not touch that? I'm honestly not going back to that store. If I want to buy items I will buy them online. I dont care if I have to pay $13 for shipping. It beats going to the store and being watched constatly and feeling like youre doing something wrong. The store is very small. The selection isn't great, but you can still find small stationary, beauty, or anime gifts. Lots of pokemon stickers and plushies. I am a big fan of Tori. It's nice to finally have a nearby K-POP store. I've returned so many times and always will. There are many things to buy including K-POP albums and adorable stationery. The prices are very high but the service makes up for it. The employees are extremely nice and that's one of the main reasons I come back. Once I was purchasing pastries from the bakery, and I was recognized as "the iKON girl." (Lol) So far, I've purchased four albums, cute mechanical pencils, many posters, and an iKON pop socket. I've shopped in this store many times over the years. They do have cute Kpop merchandise and I have bought lots of fun items. However, every time I go in there the customer service seems worse and worse. I was in there this past Saturday and the girl working behind the counter had earbuds in and was watching something and not paying any attention to customers. I always see this shop when I go to HMart, and today I finally went inside. The store is small, but has a big variety of options. Big Kpop names such as BTS, BlackPink and ATEEZ displayed everywhere along with different merch options. KPop music plays throughout the store! Anime merch is available here, too. My one gripe about this store would be the employee. I came in with just my wallet and my phone and was taking my time looking at each item, as there are many options for each product depending on what it is, and when I walked away, the employee immediately rushes over to where I just was and inspects the items. My husband came into the store with me as well, and she did the same thing to him. Every time I would go look at something, she'd go and inspect it right after I left it. I'm very upset. This puts a very bad taste in my mouth about this store. This is really unprofessional and rude to just assume all customers are stealing. Overall, be cautious of this store.
