Maaribu is a cute coffee shop/ home decor spot! Just to preface, this is not a spot you can work/ study from, as seating is limited and outside. However, it is a nice spot to stop by and grab coffee from and browse for a bit. Their home decor is very boho and chic and creates a really warm ambiance, but it is a small selection. The coffee shop is small but has a few pastries and several different types of drinks. I ordered a matcha latte and my partner ordered a latte, and both were good. We also got a chocolate chip cookie, which was just average. There is limited parking as it is a small lot, but it is a nice spot to stop by during the weekends. Service was average. Overall, I'd give the spot a 7/10. I would stop by again just for the vibes, but it's not a go-to spot. read more

We arrived closer toward the end of the day so many of the more popular items were sold out. However, we ordered the ginger cookie and brownie. Ok so this place is not represented correctly... yes, it is a beautiful home goods store... AND a full on, legit, 100% gluten free pastries and coffee shop! I wish I took pictures of the counter (someone please do). So I'm visiting Austin and absolutely struggling to find GF locations!!! And these restaurants that are 100% are not advertising themselves as such... due to the "gf is healthy and gross" crowds... one it's not healthy lol and two, it's come a long way in the past several years! Inside, the cafe is attached to their home decor store to peruse around. There was no indoor seating (there is a bench to sit on right in front of the cafe), however, they have a huge space outside to sit down and enjoy your purchase. I ordered the Iced Rose Miel Latte (Rose Honey with Oat-milk) and Cheddar Dil Scone. The latte hit the spot for me and wasn't too sweet! The scone was so warm & soft. It was very delicious! (They even through in one that broke that they couldn't sell) They were having happy hour when I went and got a box full of treats for $15 including tip! Wild! And everything is delicious. While this is not the ideal spot for young kids because of the many fragile and expensive decor items all around, they sure do love the opportunity to stare into the wide bakery glass and pick absolutely anything because of the incredibly high quality Maaribut offers. To have a fully gluten free bakery is an incredible gift and their teas are also divine. I will say that the scoop of lavender buds into a matcha is too chunky/intense but the lavender matcha without the buds or the chlorophyll lemonade are my go-to drinks.
