We went here on a Sunday after going to Shreveport as we saw a billboard and it ended up working for us to go ahead and try it. The floors can be a little slippery so be careful. It is worst in the bathroom as well. Service is great as our server made sure we were taken care. You can do Korean BBQ or hot pot or both, but be aware that it will cost $5 dollars extra. We were not wanting to do hotpot. The selection of meat as good. I do love the pork belly and the beef fingers. The steak was good and the meat was fresh. What surprised us the most was crab legs and oysters were included. They do have crawfish which my wife enjoyed a lot. The server gave us some sauce to try and it was very good. The cost was not bad at all for what you get. I would highly recommend going here even if it is 15 minute out of your way to go. read more

First timer here and wow it was so fun! The food was tasty and it was super fun to sit and cook the food. Its an all you can eat spot and its well worth it! Loved the endless options and the appetizers were delicious. Vibe was amazing and the atmosphere was pretty cool too. Love the way they have the menu and ordering on an ipad it was literally so easy to order with little to no wait time! They give you 2 hours to eat which is way more than enough time. Overall experience was a 20/10. Ash was a big part of that rating as well! She was a super friendly, funny and sweet server. She gets a 30/10. Very attentive as well. Will definitely be back for sure with friends and family! Oh and for dessert they have ice cream just ask your server :) read more

This restaurant is an experience! It's a great date night spot and fun to share in a new food experience. We chose to eat both the kpot and BBQ for my birthday, and am SO GLAD we did. The digital ordering is easy to navigate, and has endless combinations. My favorite kpot combination was the Thai Tom yum base with Kobe beef, bamboo shoots and baby corn. The spicy pork belly, beef bulgolgi and sausage with pineapple and tortillas was great. The sauce bar was just icing on the cake. We went at lunch time, and were still full at dinner. We stopped in for lunch on Saturday. On weekends they serve dinner all day so all meats were available (some are not available for weekday lunch). The food and the service were wonderful. Rae took really good care of us explaining everything, checking on us regularly, and even whipped up some of her favorite sauce combinations for us to try. There are many meats to choose from and a decent vegetable selection as well. The inside of the restaurant is really nice. It appears to have been remodeled recently. Some critiques: the outside needs some work. The window signs gave off a fast food vibe which is totally not the vibe once inside. Also the vegetable selection seemed a little small. Yellow squash and broccoli would be simple obvious additions that are currently lacking. Overall we loved it! I have had Korean BBQ at some of the nicer Dallas places, and I was quite surprised that this place could compete. We were too busy enjoying ourselves to think to take pictures. read more

Great place! I've been twice, once with my husband and once with a group. Great service both times and loved the food. We used the bar to get seasoning and sauces and enjoyed trying a variety of foods. We drive from about 45 minutes away to come here whenever we have the chance and the spare change. Delicious!! They have a great selection and it's always worth it! The spicy Sichuan broth is our favorite. I highly recommend!! The only thing keeping it from 5 stars though is that on several occasions the servers have been a bit blunt about the tips, asking us to either pay cash or that x amount goes to all the crew and that the rest of the tip goes to the servers. It was just a teeny bit uncomfortable to be honest even though we generally tip well. Food was so so. Hated peeling shrimp with heads on. The steak and short ribs were our favorites. What they called egg rolls were a joke. Sauces were good and a large variety. Wish they had greater selection of vegetables. It was very messy and wet wipes need to be provided for your hands. The grill needs to be replaced more often. Our service was great! Our server Sebrina couldn't have been more attentive and helpful. She would be the reason to come back. The ambiance was nice and a drastic change from the previous restaurant. We stopped in on their 3rd day of being open. It was packed and we were told there would be a 45 minute wait for our group of 5, but they ended up getting us seated after just 25 minutes. We came in around lunch time and stayed for about 2 hours. Our server Laurna was awesome. She was patient when explaining the menu items and checked on our table frequently. The food was amazing, and the atmosphere and the over all experience was great. There are so many different veggies and meats to choose from! The only negative part was that the food did take a VERY long time to come out. We actually had to end up ordered the same items multiple times because the kitchen kept skipping our order. I think this is something that will be worked out over time once the employees and management has better systems in place. I haven't tried this place because your whole table has to order the BBQ or your whole table has to order the Korean food in order to eat at this place. I don't like that because I would like to try just the Korean food but my husband wants both BBQ AND Korean food so that would mean we'd have to order both types for our table with an additional $10 added to our bill. It already costs us almost $30 each for one type of food, say nothing of the additional cost because my husband wants both types. Man I hate to be that person that goes out of their way to write a review. I hate to even post 3 stars on a restaurant that I fell in love with.. the first two times. That's right, I've been over 5 times. The first few times, it was great. Service was a bit slow, completely understandable, I can deal with that. In my opinion it's the quality of the food that matters. I'm a bigger guy so that's what I come for! The last few.. not so great. I feel as if there is not enough quality control over the food, so some sits out, and it gets close to spoiling! I've had fantastic short ribs, I've had some tough short ribs that were pretty much inedible. I cook to a medium temp. Nice pink center. Short ribs when marinated correctly should have a great tender, sweet and robust flavor. The steak is the only place that saves this place from being 0 stars. Next, the hotpot. Nothing wrong here. I could see the hotpot being a great addition to a nice weekend winter meal. However during the summer you won't see a lot of folks ordering a soup type meal. I feel as if there, we see this place shine. A lot more quality, I've tried the lobster balls, a bit too rubbery for my liking. Udon is great! I'll give them a star here for the sliced meats being pretty good, those take about a minute to cook for the beef and 1:30 min+ for the pork and chicken. These are great options if your scared to try anything else. All in all, it's a work in progress. This place will take time to get better and get used to the Longview crowd. It's a diamond in the rough. I would give it a shot because there is no other experience in Longview like this. read more

Food quality could have been a bit better, I would recommend getting the thinly sliced beef for your meats because it has the best texture. I have never left a bad review for any restaurant, as I don't feel it's right to publicly shame a restaurant. But this restaurant has terrible expenditure policies. We left KPOT completely shocked at our meal price. It was our first experience there, and I told the waitress it was and asked her to explain how it works. She explained the cooking procedure. It was my 14 yro son and myself. He ordered the hot pot, and I had the barbecue. The menu price was $23.99, all you can eat. The food comes, and we enjoy cooking it. There is no seasoning at all for the veggies, not even salt & pepper on the table. The food is only OK in flavor. Nothing spectacular. As we are almost done, I'm looking around the dining room and see the huge sauce bar! We were totally unaware we could have added that to our unseasoned veggies or dipped our other foods. What I was expecting to be a $48 meal, knowing drinks would be added too, turned out to be $80. There was a charge for ordering separate meals; he getting the hot pot, and me getting the BBQ. Then they charged $13 because my son didn't eat all of his soup. I ate all of my meal, and he ate the majority. There was only some noodles and broth left. By the time tip was added, my ticket was $93 for two people and the food was not even great. read more

This was my first visit to KPOT. The transformation from Luby's is outstanding. Every employee made us feel welcomed. Gabe, our waiter was great and very informative. As for the food, how could you go wrong? Meat, meat and more meat. We opted for the barbecue and hot pot and both were great. Just go in knowing that you will be cooking your own meat and everything will be okay. Meat refills were quick and Gabe recommended specific cuts. I will absolutely be back for more. read more

Greedy owners. My wife and I went a few weeks ago, and the price was expensive, but worth coming back. We came back a few weeks later on a double date, and they charged our table an extra $20 because there were 4 people at our table. Beware.. If you are only doing BBQ, make sure they don't try to charge you for both. We noticed the next day that we were charged for both for our large party. We called to correct this the next day, and they had to go through a whole lengthy process of checking cameras and calling upper management. So, save yourself some time and check your receipt while you are there. This was not our favorite Korean BBQ we have been to. Food was okay, you have to really season everything yourself with the sauce bar or the meat will be bland. We would rather go to a different Korean BBQ in Dallas or Houston.
