But when I got home and cleaned the glass, I realized it was just a photocopy, not even a lithograph. So he basically could have just charged me for the frame $5. Rip off. I enjoy collecting unique pieces for my home, so I'm not upset about decorating with it. My concern is that some items seem to be priced or represented as though they're more valuable than they actually are. I also overheard another couple in the garage looking at some car-cleaning supplies. They picked up a small sponge that was marked at $3, and they commented that it seemed way overpriced. Personally, I thought it was something that should have been around 50 cents. I noticed the same pattern with a lot of the smaller knickknacks--items that I would normally expect to see priced at four for $1 or around $1.50 were marked at $3 to $5 each. On a positive note, I did mention my concerns to the seller, and he was receptive. He said he was willing to discuss prices, negotiate, and make corrections where appropriate, which I appreciated. So if you stop by, don't be afraid to ask about the price--it sounds like there's some flexibility.

After many calls and a week later, someone finally texted me only to let me know the property was rented. I asked why I was never contacted as I had continuously sent requests from the first day listed only to be told I had to apply to even be able to see the rental. Well a simple response to any of my multiple messages would have sufficed so I could have the chance to rent the property. It makes absolutely no sense. This really shows bad communication skills from a realtor. As someone in the industry it is not hard to communicate with potential clients. Specifically in the last year or two I could never get ahold of Melanie (current property manager), ever. I would call and leave voicemails repeatedly, send multiple emails and finally Tristan would respond and say that Melanie had been on vacation or out of the office. This happened anytime I had an issue or question for them. It took weeks if not months to reach them and then even longer for them to do something about the issue. I had a roof leak and I had to call/leave voicemails and email them repeatedly until they finally answered, all while water was pooling in my ceiling. Also, they never even repaired the water damage inside the unit. I emailed Melanie two months before our lease was up to notify her we would not be renewing it and asking how much the last months rent would be (since it was only half a month). She told me she would get back to me about the amount and I never heard from her again. After multiple emails and calls, Tristan finally responded to me but didn't know what I was referring to. He said he checked with Melanie who was also unaware why I was asking.. This was 15 days before I moved out. I moved out almost a month ago and have still not received my security deposit. I had to call them 6 times over the span of three days and email them once to get an update, they finally responded asking for my forwarding address so they could send me the deposit. This was two weeks ago and I still haven't received it. Tristan is very nice and helpful when you can get ahold of him but I would not recommend renting from this property management company.
