I have nothing but good things to say about Kraftwerk K9. I have always had GSDs, so I know what to…read moreexpect. I bought Henry, my 2-year-old GSD, and he's been healthy, smart, and a perfect companion. He's very social and friendly. I've done his obedience myself, and he is a super fast learner. I have had him in the city, in the country, around the shooting range, in the mall, in office towers, on elevators, in my airplane, and he is comfortable in all environments. I take Henry with me all the time, even when I travel. He does great on road trips and at hotels. I recently bought 80 acres of land, so I just ordered a second Kraftwerk K9, fully trained protection dog, to give Henry a playmate. These working dogs love to play and are high-energy, but they are good for family pets as long as you remain the alpha. My experience with Kraftwerk K9 was good, and we are excited to add a second Kraftwerk GSD to our home. I hope this review is helpful.

Buyer beware. Kraftwerk K9 does not do the genetic test ( I…read moreassume because the $200 cost eats into their profit) for degenerative myelopathy--an incurable disease that GSDs are prone to. Two weeks ago our vet performed the genetic testing because our GSD that we paid 15k for started showing signs of the disease at 7 years old. While waiting two weeks for the results(that were positive) I called Kraftwerk K9 three times to see if they do the testing on their dogs, was told I'd get a call back from Wayne Curry, and have yet to hear anything from Kraftwerk. Was told by our vet that reputable GSD breeders do this test. Just a terrible experience. Got to believe there are better places to get a healthy dog from.

If I could give them zero stars, I would. We got a wonderful charcoal lab from Circle B in 2016…read morewhen they were a smaller breeder. We decided to get another lab puppy from them in 2020. We put money down on a litter to pick a female puppy that was born in January 2021. We had first pick of our female puppy out of the two females from the litter. We went to pick her up when she was ready to big enough to leave, the other female puppy had already been picked up. A couple of months later, we discovered by looking at pictures, they had given us the wrong puppy, the puppy we did not pick and did not want because she was too hyper. How does that happen when there are only two females in the litter. We did not say anything for a while, because we knew that we had to keep this puppy now, because the other one was gone. When I finally sent a letter to Cassandra, the owner letting her know how upset we were, I never heard a word, nothing acknowledging the mistake or an apology even. We just took our dog, who was now 4 in January to the vet, and she has to see a specialist because the vet thinks she has retinol neuropathy. When you pay a breeder that much for the dog, they should make sure you get the dog you picked and do sufficient testing to rule out potentially serious genetic defects. I will never buy another dog from Circle B and I certainly will never recommend them to anyone I know. Horrible!

My wife and I had a solid, long discussion not only about the contract aspects, but this breed in general, things to expect, etc. Was a blessing to hear that when Sherman was born the family at Circle B looked at him and exclaimed "Charger", because he looks so much like his grandpa dog. We have felt completed supported and well communicate with throughout the entire process.

I have done their basic obedience classes, sports classes, one on one training advice and also their chaotic canine course for my reactive dog. All of my dogs that have attended classes here now have a stronger bond with me, listen great, and my reactive pup is leaps and bounds better than he was when we began. If you are looking to build a life-long bond with your dog through training and proper handling backed by real, current science, without using pain or negative training methods, and want to see positive and life-changing results, choose Happy Dog!

I've had great experiences with both Emma and Heather at the Happy Dog Institute…read more I've worked with Heather with a normal dog for Fun Foundations training. I gained a solid foundation with positive reinforcement training that set us up for success. I've also worked with Emma with a rescue dog who had major fear and aggression issues. I found Emma to be very knowledgeable and appreciated the advice and insight she gave us and the program she put us on. Don't expect them to train your dog for you, that's not something that any trainer can do unless you're prepared to essentially hire them as a part time employee for an extended period of time. Dog training takes time and consistency. Do expect them to set you up to be able to put in the time working with your dog, use positive reinforcement methods that are proven to help animal minds learn better than stressful punishment based methods (not to say I don't believe there's never a time to reprimand a dog for bad behavior, just saying reprimands don't help anyone learn good behavior which is the purpose of training) and answer your questions. I look forward to working with them in the future!
