I bought Henry, my 2-year-old GSD, and he's been healthy, smart, and a perfect companion. He's very social and friendly. I've done his obedience myself, and he is a super fast learner. I have had him in the city, in the country, around the shooting range, in the mall, in office towers, on elevators, in my airplane, and he is comfortable in all environments. I take Henry with me all the time, even when I travel. He does great on road trips and at hotels. I recently bought 80 acres of land, so I just ordered a second Kraftwerk K9, fully trained protection dog, to give Henry a playmate. These working dogs love to play and are high-energy, but they are good for family pets as long as you remain the alpha. My experience with Kraftwerk K9 was good, and we are excited to add a second Kraftwerk GSD to our home. I hope this review is helpful.

Two weeks ago our vet performed the genetic testing because our GSD that we paid 15k for started showing signs of the disease at 7 years old. While waiting two weeks for the results(that were positive) I called Kraftwerk K9 three times to see if they do the testing on their dogs, was told I'd get a call back from Wayne Curry, and have yet to hear anything from Kraftwerk. Was told by our vet that reputable GSD breeders do this test. Just a terrible experience. Got to believe there are better places to get a healthy dog from.

We thought Bento was an aggressive dog, but Jamie said he was just reactionary so he was willing to train him. We have been working with Jamie for over five months, and we love his teaching methods. He is very skilled and provides us (the humans) with individual instructions on how to improve our dog and our own reactions to him. We have been dedicated to getting Bento to be less reactive and he is doing much better. We have walked the mall three times; once with a group of his dogs and twice with just Jamie. Jamie has an excellent assistant instructor when he needs him to be available. We are now working on agility training, which our dog loves. We love Jamie and will continue to have him train our dog for as long as we can.

Once a week got him on phone & told he would email or call...none of either. Phone won't accept voicemail, no response to text. There are 4 of us who compete in events listed on his website with two of us who have tried to nail him down for training, with being left feeling he has no interest. One has been trying for months. Having to go with somebody else to train with after well over reasonable amount of waiting with no attempt from Bart to return contact. Blows my mind how a trainer can just ignore multiple long term clients who are looking for somebody to train with closer to home. Will look at him again if he surfaces. But we have dogs in need and competitions upcoming and can"r afford to sit and wait to see if he surfaces. One of the group has already been with Scott Haywood w Centrailia Pet Resort, I'm going to sign up tomorrow as he has followed through with getting back, setting prices, and setting concrete schedules.

Before…read morebooking, I had multiple conversations with their office explaining that my mom had memory issues (she has since been diagnosed with Alzheimer's). I made it very clear this would be a more complicated situation and that the trainer would need to be aware of her limitations. I was repeatedly reassured that their trainers were experienced with elderly clients. I also clearly stated multiple times that my mother needed to pay with a credit card and not a check, as I could not be there. Despite this, when the trainer, Karen Briggs, came out, she had my mom write a check. I called immediately and asked if it could be stopped so I could provide a credit card, but it had already been deposited. Given my mom's cognitive issues, this was very concerning. Karen did spend about three hours at the initial visit and went over training, which I appreciated. However, I explained again that my mom would not retain much of that information due to her memory issues. I was told that paperwork was left for her to follow, and that Karen would return in about three weeks. It ended up being closer to six weeks due to multiple postponements. When she did return, visits were brief and spaced weeks apart. During those visits, my mom was essentially told to continue working on the same things as before, but due to her condition, that was not realistic without consistent support. There was also repeated complaining about the distance and drive, which I found unprofessional. If the location was too far, I would have preferred to be told upfront before committing to a $1,600 "lifetime" program. Ultimately, the structure of this program did not work for someone with memory loss. I had expected more consistent, hands-on follow-up given the cost, but that was not the case. Because of how the situation felt, I stopped scheduling further visits, even though I paid for a lifetime plan, as I felt like I was inconveniencing the trainer. At this point, I am now having to take time off work to train the dog myself so my mom can bring her into assisted living. This has been frustrating and disappointing. I don't necessarily think this program is a good fit for elderly clients or anyone with cognitive challenges, as it requires a level of consistency and follow-through that may not be realistic. I also feel there was a disconnect between what I communicated to the office and what was actually carried through during training. This was a learning experience for me, but I hope it helps others understand what to expect before making the same investment.

The program is very good for normal dogs - it did not really help our dog that is reactive and has high anxiety. At just 2 years old, and because of her calm demeanor, I can take my dog anywhere off leash, especially private events as a traveling chef, have people attempt to touch ot talk to her and she STILL gives me her full attention - which was my only issue with her. I am continously referring them while still learning new things through their many videos. And when I see a dog being trained wrongfully, I automatically want to refer Woodlands to that owner, letting them know that they would excel if they used them. I have had dogs my entire adult life and consider myself slightly-better-than-average when it comes…read moreto training them. Hard as I try, each dog seems to have "a thing" (e.g., jumping on people, leash aggression, guarding, barking, etc.). Two years ago I got a puppy and decided I didn't have it in me to go through months (and sometimes years) of training effort and end up with another dog with "a thing". I found Woodlands Dog Kingdom through word of mouth. Ayesha has a ton of experience with all kinds of dogs. She worked wonders with my sweet, little puppy but I have seen her successfully train stubborn, adult dogs with pretty big behavioral problems and am so impressed with her ability to adjust her training to meet a dog's needs and an owner's expectations. I sent her an obnoxious puppy and a few weeks later she returned an enthusiastic, but behaved young adult dog. Honestly, it was magical. In a few weeks time she accomplished more than I could have accomplished in years. There are a couple of lessons I learned that I really want to emphasize. First, she trained my puppy but didn't break her spirit. She is still an extremely loving, trusting and enthusiastic dog. Secondly, for the first time ever, I have a dog I can take everywhere. I guess I didn't realize how much richer/fuller a dog's life is when they can go everywhere. I instituted limits for my other dogs because of their "things". This dog has no limits because she doesn't have "a thing". I take her traveling with me. I can board her with no anxiety (for me or her). I can take her to a dog-friendly restaurant. I can take her off-leash at the beach/hiking and know with 100% certainly that she'll come when called. And, best of all, we can go on long walks in the neighborhood or even on busy thoroughfares and she stays in a perfect heel. Ayesha trained my puppy and then helped me learn easy ways to maintain her newly learned skills. Since our board-and-train, I have asked Ayesha for advice on specific/new behaviors and she is always very helpful. Finally, once she has trained a dog she will board them. My love of dogs AND love of travel are not conducive but boarding with Ayesha has liberated me. My dog loves going back to her place. Her boarding fees are very reasonable and the dogs are not crated for hours and hours. They have lots of outside play time and lots of human/cuddle time. I know there are a lot of board-and-train options but Woodland Dog Kingdom is the best!!
