Well, I do because it happened TODAY!!! Mom called it Day Care but I stayed there without Her, I made lots of new friends, I learned "stuff" , took a mid-day nap and most important... I had fun. Wow, oh wow, oh wow did I have fun. Oh and then... get ready for this... I rode the shuttle bus home . That certainly sounds like school to me. My husband had to physically carry him out of the vehicle. When I contacted the business, I spoke with Maddy at the front desk, who reassured me that my dog had not sustained an injury while in their care. However, I was not present and was never shown any video footage or documentation to support that claim, which left me with serious concerns about what actually happened. Months later, I received a brief email asking me to update my information in their portal. I responded honestly and shared how unsettled I still felt about the previous incident. Shortly after, a staff member called and said they would be happy to schedule grooming appointments for my dogs since they hadn't been in for a while. However, when I arrived to pick them up, I was told that my dogs were not actually scheduled for grooming but that they "accommodated them anyway." I was then informed that Friendly Grove would no longer be grooming dogs at all. The entire interaction felt incredibly confusing and dismissive, and it came across as though they were simply trying to push us out as customers. They offered a $120 credit for that service and essentially told us to find another groomer. My dogs had been going there for years, and $120 doesn't even cover the cost of a single grooming service. After years of loyalty, the lack of transparency, accountability, and communication was extremely disappointing. I expected far better treatment from a place we trusted with our pets for so long.

My dog doesn't have the best manners - but they see him for the big love that he is. They smile as big as he does when they see each other. They remember tiny details about his silly personality quirks. (Usually just seeing him once a year for a few days) They care for all of his needs and bring him so much joy. The first time they even texted details about his day to help us feel more comfortable leaving him at a new place. Every time he comes home from Sylvan, we can tell he misses all the friends he made at the kennel - human and other dog friends. Honestly, we would never consider taking him anywhere else at this point. Pro tip - the grooming and nail trimming service is worth every penny - and such a reasonable cost.

We were told about Puget Sound K9 Academy by one of my husband's clients. We set up an appointment…read morefor our dog, Bento (a 4 year-old GSD), and Jamie interviewed him. We thought Bento was an aggressive dog, but Jamie said he was just reactionary so he was willing to train him. We have been working with Jamie for over five months, and we love his teaching methods. He is very skilled and provides us (the humans) with individual instructions on how to improve our dog and our own reactions to him. We have been dedicated to getting Bento to be less reactive and he is doing much better. We have walked the mall three times; once with a group of his dogs and twice with just Jamie. Jamie has an excellent assistant instructor when he needs him to be available. We are now working on agility training, which our dog loves. We love Jamie and will continue to have him train our dog for as long as we can.
