Disappointed and Discouraged by Care Denial…read more I wish my experience had been anything but disappointing. I scheduled an appointment seeking compassionate guidance for a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean). To my surprise--and dismay--Dr. Michael D. Kelly and his nurse practitioner denied me service without even reviewing my medical history. My last C-section was six years ago, yet instead of taking the time to listen, Dr. Kelly dismissed my request outright. As a patient, I expect at least a thoughtful conversation. Instead, I felt rushed, unheard, and judged--like I was being penalized for asserting what I believe to be a reasonable birth plan. The nurse practitioner's bedside manner only deepened my frustration; their off-putting demeanor made an already stressful moment feel untenable. At the very least, I hoped for professionalism and empathy. What I encountered felt the opposite. Seeking a respectful discussion about VBAC shouldn't result in denial of care--but here, it did. Disappointing indeed.

I felt comfortable and at ease right away due to the amazing bedside manners. I want to thank Dr. Lorentz, JJ my RN, and paramedic Will for wonderful care. Dr. Lorentz was very thorough, caring and informative and JJ was made sure I was comfortable at all times. The facility is clean, bright, in a convenient location, and they take Medicare. Elyse and Lindsay who worked the front desk were polite and courteous. My son was assessed by the nurse and then by the doctor and got an IV hydration and some pills for nausea. I mentioned that he maybe passed out or had a seizure 4 days ago. we stay there until around 5:30 AM when he was dismissed. Now I found out that the doctor decided to make an upgrade to Emergency room with no explanation about it. I was tired and under stress so I signed on their Ipad. The bill is 1,560 dollars for an IV hydration and nausea pills they also did a CT scan. he only had a stomach virus. Don't go over there unless you really need an Emergency Room

In the following year, I had symptoms of heart problems that led me to Vital Heart. I took a printout of my AZ test results with me, for them to review as part of my initial visit with them. Dr Marcy Lim was the Doctor that saw me. She was shocked when she reviewed the results, and immediately scheduled an evaluation for heart stints, with Dr David. I had over 90% blockage in at least one of the veins on my heart. Dr. David immediately preformed a procedure to place stints in the effected areas. The after care and follow up by my Doctors has been the best I've experienced from any healthcare provider. They are really amazing!
