Dr. Yeargain misdiagnosed me and placed an insert in my shoes that aggravated my injury. He then…read moreprescribed steroids I didn't need and that he knew I had serious side effects from. He also continued to recommend using the insert after being informed it was aggravating my injury. Details below: I was diagnosed with a toe sprain ~2.5 months ago. Since then, I've complied with all recommendations but still have similar symptoms. After I described my symptoms at a follow up appointment after the prescribed rest time (supposed to have been 4-6 weeks), Dr. Yeargain's reaction was to ask "What do you want to do about it." I actually had to tell him that my goal is to not be in pain. After that, he prescribed steroids even though I told him I had serious adverse side effects from steroids. He also said he can't rule out an unhealed sprain but didn't order imaging and refused to explain why. The podiatrist I ended up seeing a day later took x-rays and diagnosed me with an entirely different (but very common) injury and confirmed my suspicion that the insert Dr. Yeargain placed was aggravating my injury. Dr. Yeargain's front desk is very helpful, but my experience with him was a complete miss. I sent this review to his office for written comments, especially if I've mischaracterized anything, but I haven't received any written feedback after a week.

Thank God a good friend reached out to me and told me about Dr. Eidsvig. The other place, a sports Ortho in Mckinney, basically treated us like cattle and didn't even bother to try and get to the root of the problem. The Ortho gave us a completely different probable diagnosis and wasn't interested in trying to heal her - all they wanted to do was load her up with anti-inflammatory meds and put her through 2x a week physical therapy for 4-6 weeks and said she would be lucky to be dancing in four weeks. Upon our first visit with WB Sports and Spine the doctor immediately knew what was wrong with her was very thorough and got to work right away - he did one round of dry-needling which wasn't that fun for her, as dry needling usually isn't. He also did a series of manual scar tissue break up techniques in the affected area and her leg extension went from barely reaching 83° to 120° extension right in front of my eyes! She was a little sore for 24 hours but already had mobility and less pain. When we went back for follow up 3 days later her leg extension is now at 132°... No dry needling needed at this time only manual scar tissue break up for her nerve adhesion in the glute and hamstring. Yay!! My daughter will be back to doing what she loves most and dancing full time with her team in two weeks and more importantly she is pain-free and happy as a clam! We are so thankful someone bothered to take the time and tell us their testimony and encouraged us to see Dr. Eidsvig and his staff immediately. He got to the bottom of her injury and helped heal it!
