Sunday Abamba is in a league of his own. I have been trained in massage myself, and over the past 40 years have had many different kinds of massages, from therapists all over the country. No one has helped me the way that Sunday has. In the past several months, I developed a lower back and hip issue that has been extremely painful and frightening. I think there's nothing worse than spending money on a massage that either doesn't fix your tight muscles or worse - the therapist hurts those tight spots when trying to massage them out - that's NOT a good massage and leaves me feeling like my money was wasted. (I am not a tingly feel good, light massage person - I have tight muscles and need someone to really work them out) And finding a good therapist is hard! LOOK NO FURTHER!!! Sunday is the deep tissue expert!!!! I mean it! Sunday is amazing in finding those tight spots and melting them away. He seems to 'feel' the body and work through it all the while 'reading' your body's response. He has a very natural ability that you can't teach. Much like people can play music and go through the motions of the beat & timing but the music quality is just 'ok' as you can tell they just don't 'feel' the music while playing, it is very methodical. Well, I think the same holds true with a massage therapist! Sunday takes pride in his work, you can tell that he seems proud that the muscles have melted down by the end of the session, as he knows he did a good job (and you benefit out of it greatly). He is passionate and seems to study the body a lot. He noticed how I walked & during my massage that my hips were crooked. He told me I needed to see a chiropractor (this was before he is in his current office) to get that corrected or his work will be less effective. He was right, the chiropractor confirmed my hips were crooked. I had never been to a chiropractor before. He (and chiro) has helped me work through and correct my back issues. I go to him regularly (for years) to undo the hours of sitting at the computer, which I can't seem to stop doing since it's my job, but need massage work to counter the hours of sitting. Final thoughts...This man might be an angel on earth. I've had problems with my neck and back for 10 years now and about 10 years ago I had a really good masseuse who for whatever reason quick her practice. In the last ten years it's been a struggle to find someone with the right techniques and pressure to alleviate my pain. I can easily say that Sunday is the best masseuse I've met in over 10 years of trying every masseuse in the metroplex. His massage is very therapeutic, almost medical in nature. There are over 650 muscles in the human body and Sunday seams to know how they all work together and is a master at pinpointing problem areas. If you have any pains from your daily life activities or previous injuries, I highly recommend seeing Sunday for a true therapeutic massage. 3 years ago, working long hours, sitting in front of computer screens quickly took a toll on my neck and back and after getting massages from different types of therapists with varying degrees of pressure with only short-lived results, I was recommended to see Sunday.
