Located in South Miami Dade Cultural Arts Center, it's like a hidden secret. It's not part or like…read morethe main stage at SMDCAC... firstly it has a small entrance behind the main theatre and off to the side... like a secret entrance. Secondly the type of shows done there are far more adult oriented... shows like stand up comedies (which we know can be foul mouthed) and of course the two times I have gone there including the most recent has been to see burlesque/cabaret.... which is certainly someplace you want a secret entrance for... The most recent show there, Erika Moon's Burlesque Avant-Garde was incredible. Certainly something you don't expect to see in theater. It was fun, sexy, funny, and memorable. I had seen one of her prior burlesque shows at this theater about 3 years ago with an ex of mine (Erika Moon's Burlesque Maginfique). Most recently I took my brother and a very close yelp friend of mine to it and we all loved it... I know I certainly did... I think my jaw dropped dozens of times. It's a small, very intimate space... you can see what's going on the stage simply because the space is so small. It also has a small bar which serves snacks, beer, wine and hard liquor.. and it's brought to your table while you are watching the event... again a difference from the main stage. I think it's a wonderful little venue and certainly one which I have fond memories of. I recommend anyone in the area or in miami to try this theatre out and the different types of shows it gives you won't find in your typical theater.

We are very happy we did! The venue itself is great. It is theater style, with about 15 rows each with about 15 seats. Their are tables to the sides of the venue. The stage is raised and the back half of the rows are tiered. Every seat has a great view. Not a bad seat in the house. The help was extremely friendly and helpful. Everything about this place is great. We saw Motown Magic, who were excellent. The variety of shows is very good. Overall, I would say that our experience was wonderful. We will check who is playing there and buy tickets whenever we comeback to our condo in Florida.

From the moment you walk in there are maidens and squires to greet you. Consider it like a starving actors playhouse on a giant stage, with different stages at several locations and if you take the time to stay, funny, some actually involve the audience in their act making them do silly things and getting the crowd laughing hilariously. Some things I've never seen at other Festivals were the Jousting skills challenge and tournament. An actual fencing where you can challenge a friend or family member !!!! Yes, you put on a vest and a fencing helmet and glove and try to pop balloons attached to each others helmet. Archery. A covered sit down eating area, where a live band walks around and plays bagpipes and drums: entertaining . Free games like Balance tower and giant chess boards : which we played. After every show or act they ask for donations, which is worth it, but, does bring cost up. I took my 2 kids and it cost me $ 64 to get in, then donations for each show, then food; at the end of the day it ended up costing me $120 for the three of us. It was a great time with my kids, they were laughing and enjoying the shows and the games, so at the end it was worth it.

The space at this estate and the grounds are beautiful and the upkeep is impeccable. I had never been here before but it is definitely picture worthy. I also hear it's a popular spot for weddings and all kind of events. You have to preregister and pay a $5 fee to attend Sunday classes. Class is about an hour and although outdoors still in a covered space. Bring your mats and water to stay hydrated. The outdoor space has a lovely view with the bay next to you. The nice breeze helps with this Miami weather. The instructor is super nice. Whether your an expert or a beginner (like me) she goes around and helps to make sure your posture and positioning is correct so that you don't hurt yourself. Her voice also makes the whole experience soothing. After just one class I'm hooked. It's the perfect way to end the weekend and have a happy Sunday funday. Join me!

The Gold Coast Railroad Museum is already a gem for history buffs, with its hulking locomotives and even a Presidential train car that once carried Truman, Eisenhower, and Reagan. But in the winter, it transforms into something out of a fever dream: The Polar Express. Yes, the same Polar Express you know from the book and movie, but here it's live, moving, and utterly immersive. You climb aboard an honest-to-God vintage train, and suddenly you're sipping hot chocolate while a conductor in full uniform punches your golden ticket. There are carolers, elves, and wide-eyed kids staring out the window as the Miami night flickers past. For a couple of hours, you forget you're in South Florida, where December usually feels like July. It's Christmas magic on rails, and it's awesome. The kids lose their minds--in the best way possible--and even the adults get pulled into it. You can't help it. There's something about hearing "All Aboard!" and rolling down the track while Christmas music swells that short-circuits cynicism. It's corny, sure. But it's also perfect.

The bright-line station is beautifully decorated with Christmas which we loved for pictures. I definitely recommend this show if you believe your kids would like a broadway type of live show. They sing live, they dance, it's beautiful and very magical! My 4 & 5 year loved it and asked when it was over when they could go back.
